Leonard Cohen...RIP....

Just read that Leonard Cohen died at the age of 82.  What an incredible singer and songwriter.  Thanks for all your great music...."Hallelujah" for your gift that you shared with all.

Wow, this makes me sad too.  Prolific and successful to the very end.  It doesn't get much better than that.  I'll miss him.
Heard a singer songwriter from Minnesota perform the best interpretation of Cohen’s Hallelujah of anyone I have ever heard. He literally had the house so quiet you could hear a pin drop. And it was just him, barefoot, sitting on a stool with his guitar. What a beautiful song! Thank you Leonard for all you have done.
I applause to every song he's ever wrote and still can't say good buy to my all times favorite poet and songwriter!
Shalom Leo!
Zolzein a better!
Certainly one of the all time best. His lyrics & delivery were top notch.

I got hooked with Suzanne, and just explored his music from there. His crafting as a wordsmith produced a confluence of melody, cynicism, and emotion, stirring the imagination. He leaves us wanting more, but plenty to entertain us rediscovering his work for the balance of our lives.
One of the few Dylan himself respected as a peer. His show at The Universal Amphitheater in the early 2000's was one of the best I've attended in my life.
I was fortunate to hear him twice in concert. Radio City Music Hall and MSG. Both were near-religious experiences - even within the cavernous MSG. If you read into the lyrics of his final album, he knew that he was dying. So sad. So wonderful. The tribute in the Chicago Tribune was the best.
A great loss...😥
I have so many of his albums but today was playing the 3 record Live London Concert

Some of the best analogue sound I have heard for years.
Simply a 'must' for a Cohen and music fan alike....
Adieu Lennie and thanks.....

He had so much to say, and said it so well. The great sound quality of so many of his recordings is just the icing on the cake. He will always be with us as his music is timeless. Cheers,
Spencer
Rest in peace dear Leonard. I feel your loss. My chest is tight.
CBC FM (Canada public radio) just had a beautiful 2 hour musical tribute with Tom Allen as host.I feel it may well be the best program CBC has ever done and I have an elevated appreciation of Tom for this lovely presentation. (I may feel the loss more deeply than some, having shared drinks with Leonard in a quiet Montreal bar circa 1971. I'm grateful that my very charming and beautiful 1st wife attracted his ever watchful eye.) (I take the liberty of intimacy here as respect for that aspect of Leonard.)
wow what a doubly sad day, losing Leonard and remembrance day. thank you for the music and thank you all the ones that died to give us our great countrys.
That's the trouble with all the  great ones...eventually the final curtain falls, and we're left with our memories and their footsteps...

Thanks Leonard...thanks to digital, your words and sound will be with us as long as there's eyes to see sunrise and ears to hear your thoughts, and minds and souls to appreciate and reflect.

Sleep well...

He can't rest in peace until he is joined by all his women. And when it happens, they won't let him have it either.
