Jerry123 congratulations please keep us update, I ordered mine 3 days ago.
Willgolf When i first applied the 1260 i put it on real thin and not a full cover on the speaker spades. Went back later and recoated and music did get better. So I do not think reapplying it will hurt. May take a little longer to break in to where it sounds good. My whole system is treated with 1260 , It made it sound really good. I will be trying the new Q45t here soon and i will post the comparison when i do. |
I had mentioned that 1260 applied to one speaker cable did not do anything. Now Rick told me two things. 1. Some contacts are too polished to hold 1260 well. 2. Speaker spades and bananas need to be completely covered. I did notice that my spade when “painted” with 1260 had lots of clear spots. And that I only applied it to the tips of the spade. So, that explains why I heard no improvement. |
@willgolf There should be some left on the other end of the connection. Doesn’t hurt to reapply though if connections have been remade a few times. 1260 does seem to help USB and HDMI connections. The case is useful for neat storage, but AI’d save the money if you already have 1260. i would think the 1260’s thin applicators would work for cleaning female ports, but what has HF said about whether or not cleaning is a necessity with the new stuff?

@ozzy when first try Q45T, my humble suggest is to clean off 1260 completely at 1 or 2 location then apply Q45T. After that is your choice. in my opinion: nps-1260: gains more information Q45T: gains more resolutions

Applied my Q45 today: XLR's, IEC inlets, all 6 Wilson speaker connections, Fideliums. Organic. Added 5% to 10% more to the sound from the start. It definitely has granules of something (magnets?) in it as nasaman mentioned. It certainly did not degrade the sound. A couple more days and I'll be able to better define what I hear. |
I applied mine yesterday evening and and the immediate results were a very dark soundstage almost dull sounding. I applied it to my speaker cables and interconnects going from my processor to my amps. This result doesn’t surprise me much because I remember the 1260 had a similar reaction. Tonight I can hear the darkness starting to clear out as if the sun is breaking through the clouds. |
My Q45-T arrived today. I could not resist, so I applied to two power cords (DAC and Integrated Amp), and the XLR interconnects. That’s it for tonight.
I was not sure what to expect, if anything at all. But damn! This is incredible! From the first note, it’s almost startling. Like a different system. Not sure what to make of it. Music is kinda dialed in, similar to coming into focus when photographing something. There is a certain sparkle and bloom. There are some notes that sound as coming from somewhere too wide, vertically and horizontally, I literally looked around like “what is this, where is it coming from?”. Heck, I am kinda questioning whether things are supposed to sound this way. Whatever it is, I am liking in. I do have to figure this out, but there is most certainly something going on.
I will do the speaker cables, other power cords (power conditioner, subs, transport, server), and some peripherals over the weekend. This is way more interesting than I thought it would be. |
Mine arrived today, was not going to apply any of it until tomorrow but went a head and started it. My whole system is done in the 1260. So i applied it to part of the front end. From the wall to the Power Conditioner. Thats 5 power cords, 32 of the different MC 05s levels the 3 to 1 splinters used putting them on the same line about 13 of them . One MC6 Hemisphere power strip with MC1pros plugged in to it. The sound was very seductive clean and musical. I listen to 7 CD and SACDs. Will apply more tomorrow and finish hopefully on Saturday the complete system. The 1260 for me was a miracle in a small bottle. The Q45t is better and not by a little bit but by a lot. For me this did everything the 1260 did that was good but a lot more. |
Fideliums - As you know with only one side exposed metal to work with I put my exposed side toward the object with the post. Not facing away from the object. I pasted it on fairly heavy using the applicator from the bottle all across the exposed metal. Then I opened up the post very wide so I did not scrap it off when slipping it back onto the post; more of an inward then push down toward the object motion. Then I used my other hand to hand tighten and you can feel the particles "cracking" under the pressure. I did not apply to the posts first as I am sure it would squish out to the unexposed side and be wasted. |
@jayctoy That’s great to hear. It’s a great stuff, and I’m happy for us all. You guys are applying the Q45T way faster than me, LOL because I’m still at the speaker cables ends and my Lumin streamer’s 8-pin power cable. Evtime I’m in my listening room for a quick listening, I’m stuck to the chair and not wanting anything else. It’s that great. For the crazies, do y’all know that the 1260 can also be applied between metal connectors around speakers’ Cross-over and inside your electronics, right? Amps, preamps, CDPs, streamers, Pwr Conditioners, and many more. Power them off, be careful and have some fun with it. John |
I have applied the Q45 to my speaker cables. After 2 hours, I can report that I am very happy with the purchase. Improved texture and detail are easily apparent. the website says 24 to 48 hours of break in will occur. I was planning to do a little bit every week but it seems that some are doing everything at once. The improvement was so nice that it is tempting to do everything at once but am wondering if it makes sense to go in stages in case too much becomes overwhelming |
@sruffle Yes, Just to be on the safe side? Apply slowly and 1 location at a time and watch "your child" grows. LOL Monitor it and take notes for each of those locations If you do all at 1 time ...the fun can soon be over. And, if there are side effects, you won’t know which locations to look into first. |
@nasaman thanks for the response. I will plan to take it slow to make sure that I continue to like the response. |
Day 2 went very bland and dark for some reason. Figured part of it might be the reseating of the MC-05’s. Had not touched them for around 1000 hours. Anyway, got impatient tonight and treated most of the rest of my system . IC’s, HFC RCA phono destination adapters, amp to speaker bananas. WOW...in 5 minutes of all tube warmup, the difference was remarkable. The midrange and highs are right there, very clear, but not fake or analytical . Finally, as someone who very humbly has a lot of experience with live, acoustic music, my only complaint at this early juncture is a skewing of the tonal signature slightly away from richness to lean. But again, we're only talking about Day 3 and I'm excited to see what happens in the next few months.

The only thing left is the SR purple amp fuse and the preamp and power amplifier pins. I don’t have enough information to feel safe on any of that. Regarding the small signal tubes, my 3 preamps are all vintage...VTL Deluxe, Quicksilver Full Function, and the one I’m currently using, the CJ PV-5. I can treat the pins but will that cause damage to the old tube sockets? I’m more inclined to try treating my large signal KT120’s (Rogue). Same question applies but the tube sockets are more modern. Guess I can try to contact Ted on how to apply this stuff to his fuse. |
This morning I applied only on my digital cables marigo apparition and the HF adapters, the result is good again, the bass is much clearer, more slam and nice impact, but the clarity is equal to my ct2 ic, as usual the texture is HF cables signature. The transport is Yamaha S1000, and Ares denafrips dac.Using viva tube integrated.I also applied on my Kimber D60 digital cable , Using peactree DAC it, and Cambridge Transport will update you on this once I am done listening on the marigo digital cable. |
@jayctoy : just my impression in my only one system only on day #2 since partial application. Everything else it does better than before the application. I think there is more "burn in" required. Maybe a week or less. |
@nasaman This reads ’contradictory’ (inconsistent). Can you clarify and differentiate? Thanks.

Hi guys, Nps-1260: Gains more information. (I can hear more) It allows to hear (many) more musical instruments appear in the music that I didn’t hear before. Ex, the sweaty palm gliding on the guitar’s neck, a sax player or singer inhaling/ breathing appeal to be cleaner and more obvious....This 1260 also allows more musicality and silky highs that I really like. It somewhat opens up- more air and details . 1260 is impressive. Q45T: Gains more resolutions. (I can "see" more) In my system, it improves so much and focuses mainly around the sound-staging and imaging. It gives (so much) more separations, more layers (depths), more micro inner details that give a cleaner "picture" of locations between the players themselves and singer(s). Very organic sounding, warmth and full and (a tad) more emotional engagement. The speakers disappeared like they never there. So,...more information and more resolutions are 2 diff things. Now, the reason I love Q45T more than 1260 personally is because the Q45T has a very much organic sounding simislar a vinyl?, musicality and authority which give me the impression that I’m getting a free upgrade $5k to $10k amp within the brand and just for that....the Q45T worths every penny. Please note that my whole system is currently being treated with 1260. The new comer Q45T’s only been applied 2 areas (4 locations) and that’s the speaker cables and the streamer Lumin’s umbilical cord.

nasaman Spot on I treated 5 more of my MC O5s and 2 power cords - source and preamp. Still have a lot to treat. But i am thinking i might leave some 1260 in the system? Just for the reason you posted. So far when applying the Q45t i have cleaned the 1260 off. It comes off fairly easy, i did have one connection where it seamed to have dry hard and took a lot of elbow grease to get it off. |
@nasaman Thank you. I disagree with how you have defined each "term" despite the further explanation and elaboration; however, I have a somewhat better understanding of what you are communicating. |
I never have the 1260, because iAm very skeptical if it’s worth $349. But iAm wrong.Iam now listening with q45 applied except pc.I still got improvement, open up the music ,in terms of holographic sound ,David this q45 works like wonder. This is on my third system, I ask Casey to put one bottle on hold.I might need one.of for future use. |
John (NASaMAN) you are spot on, The q45st adds more musicality into the system, there is more harmony. The only way to know what the q45st does applied it in your system. Though $349 is not cheap? You tell me after you applied it if really worth it.I agree with David ,the resulion and informations does create confusion . When we were texting you loaded me lots of information On q45st, You got me curious because you were so into the q45st, I end up ordering 5 ml one bottle? I should have ordered 10 ml to be honest.John , David is also a friend of mine, it started when I challenged him to come and visit , I buy Him beer and pizza , next thing I know He is in Chicago visited Teajay and Allen . He came to visit , he got his delicious pizza and his cold beer, He is very nice and very passionate on Audio. |
