Thanks for the update on the NPS Q 45t. Did you get a chance to apply it over NPS 1260 treated connection? Or having the ends of the connection treated with one of each 1260 and Q 45 t at opposite ends. Or do you recommend removing the 1260 and applying the Q 45t on a clean connection for the best sound? Was there a long if any break in before you heard a positive sound improvement?
My whole system is treated with the 1260- power cords, speaker wire, interconnects, binding post, speaker wire jumpers, and of course all of my High Fidelity wave guides.
Thanks again for the info

To ship to me in Ca. they have used UPS 90% of the time. Once in a while but not often Fed X. Try and get chat going on their Face Book page. I get faster response there some times.

When i first applied the 1260 i put it on real thin and not a full cover on the speaker spades. Went back later and recoated and music did get better. So I do not think reapplying it will hurt. May take a little longer to break in to where it sounds good. My whole system is treated with 1260 , It made it sound really good. I will be trying the new Q45t here soon and i will post the comparison when i do.

Will be ordering some monday

The little plastic box or case it comes in is not necessary- like a little jewel case-nice but not really needed. I applied the 1260 to the male pins on the equipment that the power cord plugs into. put it on both ends of XLR cables using applicator brush that comes with it. I believe you can put it on USB cables- check with High Fidelity to make sure. I have a whole system treated with the 1260- it was outstanding. Did order the large Q45t and will retreat my system.

Wow sorry to hear HFC has left Texas. Was hoping they would make a come back there. Some really good people worked there Casey- EdKim to name a few. Wish the whole HFC family the best.
If you're getting tracking info but no package listed yet, It will come. I have waited week or so with tracking label created before actually package dropping into place with del. info.

Thanks for the report keeps us posted- mine should arrive today.

Mine arrived today, was not going to apply any of it until tomorrow but went a head and started it. My whole system is done in the 1260. So i applied it to part of the front end. From the wall to the Power Conditioner. Thats 5 power cords, 32 of the different MC 05s levels the 3 to 1 splinters used putting them on the same line about 13 of them . One MC6 Hemisphere power strip with MC1pros plugged in to it.
The sound was very seductive clean and musical. I listen to 7 CD and SACDs. Will apply more tomorrow and finish hopefully on Saturday the complete system. The 1260 for me was a miracle in a small bottle. The Q45t is better and not by a little bit but by a lot. For me this did everything the 1260 did that was good but a lot more.

Spot on
I treated 5 more of my MC O5s and 2 power cords - source and preamp. Still have a lot to treat. But i am thinking i might leave some 1260 in the system? Just for the reason you posted. So far when applying the Q45t i have cleaned the 1260 off. It comes off fairly easy, i did have one connection where it seamed to have dry hard and took a lot of elbow grease to get it off.

Just treated the power cord for my amp still lots to do. Will post tomorrow

My whole system was treated with 1260 and really enjoyed it. I am slowly changing to the Q45t. Right now i am about at 55% with Q45t in the system and 45% with the 1260. They do work well together (not on the same end of wire). The 1260 wipes off fairly easy with a soft cloth. I only had one connection where it was hard to get off. The 1260 does need to be reapplied several times if you are moving things in and out on a regular basis. Unplug something once or twice and repluge it did not effect the sound for me. Doing it more than that and i would reapply 1260. I have not tried it yet, but i am sure the Q45t should be about the same. The longer you leave it in placed the better the sound.
Good luck

Thanks for the up date....Hope Rick and crew get through it easy

From what i have gathered so far Covid has hit High Fidelity Cable health wise and not being able to get raw materials. Do not know how long it will last- a week or longer???
|
sruffle
Yes High Fidelity Cable is gone very sad indeed. Yes you can apply the Q45t to USB cables or the 1260 to your USB cables. Report back you findings
|
Hello crummwoody
Yes as i understand it High Fidelity Cable is no more. Between Covid and getting raw materials. It was impossible to get things done. Keeping trained people when you have no material to work with and Having some material then no crew to work because of Covid. It could make a come back on a much smaller level down the road??? I'm hoping they bounce back.
What they have left on the shelf (audio gone) to sell is any body guess?? As far as back orders i have no clue.
Rick and crew has all ways treated me good and i am very sorry to see this end this way. Rick made designed some really outstanding products.

Thats a good question? Have you tried the end of the cables to see if a wire is loose at the spade or banana part of the cable? I was told there are about 40 some little parts in the end of the cable? Try posting on High Fidelity face Book page Last time i check the Chatt feature was still working. You may get a slow response and see if you get any response.
good luck

Glad you got your product. None of the bottles comes with instructions. Do not drink it. Rick has never posted whats in the secret sauce! Apply to male prongs on power cords about half way on prongs. Do not let it spider web between prongs. The same for XLR interconnects -speaker cables apply both sides of the spade about 1/2 on both sides, apply to both sides speaker and amp end. I have used the 1260 and the Q45t and never wore a mask or gloves. But if you feel you need to go ahead. The product is gritty apply like nail polish. The thicker the coat the longer the break in time. Apply a nice even coat. give it some time and report back.

I spoke to Rick back when he first came out with the NPS1260 (not the Q 45) and he was trying it on his car might have been a BMW i do not recall for sure. But he was excited about the results. On his car battery and tip of spark plugs ( I have no clue if positive or negative results) He did use it on his car stereo system. If you try please post your findings.

If you are talking about the three to one adapters, i have used them stacking as many as 5 to 8 on each other. Putting the Q45t on each one in use with Ricks MC05s. It work great. With the MCO5s it gets heavy and i used a 2x6 brace under the adapters so they would not pull out from the wall.
