Cable Goop Review George is going to freak!!

I'm not dismissive of this stuff at all although I'm likely never to try it.  I'm just very happy with how my system is sounding and am just enjoying music listening and buying vinyl these days.  It's all about priorities (which of course are always subject to change).
@millercarbon

Hobby? I thought it was a calling?

I figured you were approaching it more as a crusade? ;-)

@boxer12 Stabilant 22 would do the same thing. Had an issue with a Air Bag senso on a old Honda Accord my kid had. Decided to clean up the contacts and pigtail, apply Stabilant 22 and bingo issue resolved. $40.00 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/D-W-Electrochemical-Stabilant-15m-Concentrate/dp/B001E53PG6/ref=dp_prsubs_1?p...

Kid drove the car for 6 years and still has it up in South Bend where he attends Norte Dame getting his PHD.
More S… for Yum Yum’s to waste their money on. My guess is someone was able to a/b test buying two identical cheap systems let’s all go give it a listen.

Only if you were not there !
Another vote for the "I hate this hobby" response.

@earlflynn, thanks for the "realistic" tip on the Stabilant 22, going to check it out.
Meh.
Put 1/2 t of graphene in 6 ml of gear oil.
$10.

I can smell it from here. Gear oil stinks.. :-) But I bet it would work..

Just mix a little distilled water with the graphene dust.

OR

Use Rislone Engine oil treatment (I like the smell) or 3 in one oil if you want it to set soft.

2 oz of dust is 20-30 dollars 5.00 for the oil.. Can make a quart of the stuff for 30 - 35 dollars.

Enough to paint every wire in the space shuttle, TWICE.. :-)

Clean connections & contact enhancers are a great idea! I tried them (Deoxit products) on the battery posts of my transports remote that wasn't working... Still didn't work. I then put a small dot of this product on the posts & it now works. Not all contact enhancers are equal.

Notes:
No, I didn't buy the product for this particular application
No, this particular application didn't improve sound quality (it's the only time I've used the product where it did not however)
It is predictable, it is never about the tweek itself, it is only about the cost of it.
I just now read the review..I worked from the inside out..more to go. Even larger soundstage with more air all around and over my head and down the side walls. The air has escaped the walls of the container. Tom
This product works. Have more to do. Completed DAC and transport both inside and out and all the magnets..everything sounds right correct and aligned. Not sure if my subs are required as my direct coupled monitors now have deeper detailed bass with more apparent speed and punch. This 2way sounds more like a single driver speaker. I have been rotating the tried and true and I am hearing sonic cues I never heard before.
More music and much less noise something I didnt think I had.
Next 2 steps are to treat all the interior connections on both of my amps and my preamp. I treated 4 connections on a friends system he was so impressed he ordered the small kit. Great product worth each and every dollar. Tom
.

@mapman I agree 100% and I use Stabilant 22 the same stuff my Avionics Tech uses in our DHC6 and KA200. I have used it for 20 years and have used it on sensors in my race bikes also. Cleans all the noise out of my data acquisition.
Clean connections and contact enhancers are not a bad idea. Just does not cost $350 to do it well. Except for a handful of audiophiles.
I have to admit,I am very intrigued by contact enhancers,or really, a lot of tweaks out there.  $350 worth of intrigue?  Not sure about that at this point in time.  But still intrigued!  I have a little background in racing. Cars, snowmobiles, motorcycles,so I grasp that a bunch of little improvements usually add up to big improvements.
Goop or any such variant ….it’s like putting a lipstick on a pig. Enough said!
I won’t be buying $350 goop to smear on my expensive gear from a very expensive wire company but to each their own.

Also they are sound rating the goop in various categories?  Doesn’t what you smear it on have something to do with that?

Not  buying it.
