@Gano and I'm sure others: I HEAR you. I'll leave it at that.

I choose reflection over celebration this year to quietly reexamine what it means to be American and to confront how far we’ve drifted from the principles this day is meant to honor. Still, in the stillness, I find comfort in music, a small refuge offered by my humble but yet refined system. Wishing everyone a thoughtful Fourth. |

No guano, let’s keep the forum clear of political discourse from both sides of the aisle. The tribalism and the members of the tribes should find another place to air their politics and contribute to the discussion here on audio issues. This is, after all, the purpose of the forums here, and there are some marvelous sites elsewhere which host political discussions, whichever viewpoint one may have. |

@grannyring Hi , Happy 4th. So about 2 months ago I took out a 2 meter pair if IC’s I had purchased from you years ago. I wound up not using them at the time and stored them away. So 2 months ago I had Rogue Refurbish and upgrade a pair of M-180’s to Dark mode and service and retube the matching Hera pre. I set it up single ended for burn in and I finally used the IC’s you built. They’re outstanding and when I do my final setup next month I plan on running your cables Vs going balanced. So thanks for a great product and I’m glad to see you posting. I did a thread on the amps and I have an open thread for some Townsend Podiums i just received. Age has caught up with me and my carbon road bike is currently a wall ornament and replaced by a Peloton. I guess I’ll be riding the Peloton while watching the Tour on TV, hope I don’t get dropped. 😆I hope this post isn’t deleted for talking about stereo gear. Cheers , Mike B. |

All right Forum Members, Admin have given this thread a warning and a CHANCE to avoid the dreaded "Removed By Mods". Grow up, keep the political bulls**t out of it, and enjoy a hot dog and a beer. Blow something up if you want to...just not this thread.
For pete’s sake, the OP simply wished everybody a Happy 4th of July. Celebrate the fact you can be pissed off and say it out loud. Just don’t ruin this thread because your candidate lost. Speak at the voting booth. Oh, and Happy Fourth Of July!! |

@immatthewj -- No, Matthew. Just another member tired of every post turning into a childish political bashing sideshow and feeling sorry for what admin. has to put up with just about every day. Enjoy the 4th with a 5th. |
Everything you wrote about the fires and reservoirs is absolutely factual. There was a massive campaign of political lies surrounding the fires. I paid close attention because I worked with several National Parks in California, for 14 years, including Sequoia, where Lake Kaweah is. That reservoir was opened (by trump’s orders) to supply water to Los Angeles, but that reservoir only supplies water to the San Fernando Valley for agriculture. So, that was a waste of billions of gallons of water, and an extraordinarily ignorant mistake!!!! As part of my work with the National Park Service, I was volunteer fire fighter, so I know a lot about wild-land fires. I also married a fire captain with California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. So you can trust that I know about wild-land fire fighting. That being said, there are two things that must be understood about those fires: Santa Anna winds and water supply. Water Supply: When every fire hydrant is open, pressure and volume is significantly reduced! All reservoirs connected to L.A. hydrants were full. But when every hydrant is open pressure and volume is reduced. This is simple to understand. Santa Anna winds: Heat from the deserts in the Great Basin (Nevada Utah, Arizona), can cause extremely high winds, ie 80 mph! So, put aside the propaganda! These facts aren’t difficult to understand. Use common sense! |

@thecarpathian , I believe the quote actually is: ’Music has charms to soothe the savage breast.’
(And let me take this opportunity to also wish you a happy 4th, and that way maybe no one will interpret this particular post as bickering.) |
thanks @unclewilbur for keeping us safe from the fires! Since my comment contained facts that didn't align with other members' lies, it was removed scary stuff. |
@unclewilbur , I wished you a happy 4th a few posts ago, but I guess I must have offended someone's dainty sensibilities, because my best wishes were deleted. Anyway, I'll try it again: good to "see you" and thanks for the fact filled post. |
well, I am uncomfortable with @immatthewj being my brother by association.... but o.k. :) It is now the snapchat of audio, we gotta read messages fast because they disappear |
