If you know that a user is a dealer and they fail to disclose and attacks other users because they make a point against their interest, do you expose the user?
I know of a gentleman here that continuously posts and goes after people and does not disclose who he is.
@pesky_wabbiti am following the discussion but not closely - i see lots of posts have been removed every time i check in. but my comment describes a general trend i've noticed over the past month or two across a range of different threads
i guess i just don't understand the stakes here. if i didn't like somebody on the internet, i would simply ignore them. for the récord i'm not judging anybody, there are worse ways to spend one's time. anyway, back to listening (and work...smh)

Noob-Spring on alligator shoe can put bounce back into step.
Then not look tired after night with dragon daughter.
Ivor was a little on the assertive side for the suggestions you proposed
trolley and a hockey mask, perhaps.
had a thing going about digital watches impacting sound quality, and got really pissed off in a demo once when a guy behind him secretly removed a jacket to reveal an armful of watches that he failed to detect
It cannot be done. Once you start a thread and people respond, it is enshrined until AudiogoN says otherwise. But please, show us how it’s done. Take some screenshots showing how you delete a thread with multiple responses. Post them here.
I’ve deleted a few. Everyone has the ability to delete their own post or complete threads, with or without responses.
Just look you’ll see. Discussions started and click it. You will see the tool wheel to the side of the one you want to get rid of. Click it. You can’t edit the topic or header unless there are no post and a time frame (I think.) BUT you can delete the whole thread.
You’ll see a pic of a (home) / ted_denney / discussions. Just like the new path for NTFS/file directories. Easy peasy Mr ted_denney.

Ted has demonstrated time and again that he will say or do anything to promote his business interests. The truth is just another commodity which is to be traded in the market place.
Ultimately, his life will reflect the values he espouses.
I checked. On my iPhone I can get a list of threads I started and select a pop up on each with a delete option. So it is possible for one to delete their threads. Live and learn.

@pesky_wabbitWe all deserve an opportunity to acknowledge that we were wrong, comment on what we learned and apologize to those we did wrong to.
@ted_denney, probably and sadly, will not take the opportunity to acknowledge any of it.
Now he is saying he did not delete his threads?
It is suspicious to me, but at the same time is time for focusing on more fun things, like listening to my recently NHB-458 upgraded to NHB-468 before I fly back on Friday to the USA for a couple of weeks to connect my new Pathos Heritage, AvantGrade DuoXD and AS Montana TT.
people are apparently mad at ted denney, who is open about what he's selling,
probably more irritated than mad, maybe disappointed…
for daring to ask questions like "would you prefer a system that sounds great, or a system that measures well?"
more likely for starting threads intended to gravitate toward support for the types of products he sells, and then denigrating other members and throwing out rude suppositions about the quality of someone’s system affecting the validity of their opinions
others are apparently addicted to making every last topic in audio about miller carbon.
can’t help you there, the man’s legend apparently survives his departure
To my knowledge it is impossible for any AudiogoN user except a moderator or an administrator, to nuke a thread. As usual, the usual suspects do not know what they’re talking about.

Can't we just end the back and forth pettiness and agree with the OP that posters who own a company selling audio products or are promoting one should make it clear either in their name or their signature?
Except cars.....there is a nice correlation between auto and audio enthusiasts. It seems to emerge when the subject of car audio (blech) comes up.
It is a pity that within the software settings an OP has the ability to nuke a thread , a number have been that contained valuable and informative contributions from members … At the very most an OP should have to contact the moderators and with a good reason in order to delete.
Ted wanted to cover his tracks, and as thread OP he got to decide if they were permanently deleted.
How do we take down a thread once it’s already started? Constant redirection and misinformation, that is the status quo for users with a (not so) hidden agenda.
Ted wanted to cover his tracks, and as thread OP he got to decide if they were permanently deleted.
One thread I remember was really funny - he got on the bandwagon about simplifying systems, when the 4th poster remarked that it was all a bit much coming from somebody who owned a company that sold nothing but tweaks. Needless to say that was the last post - thread closed.
@ted_denneyWhile users posting with hidden agendas are clear to see, they’re the ones posting behind assumed names attacking any post, topic, or comment making a subjective observation absent measurements.
As one who has respect for science and all manner of measurements, I am surprised and dismayed at this revelation. To be objective means to me to be dispassionate about the preferences of others and to respect the right to speak freely.
Not having had the opportunity to have read anywhere all of the numerous deleted threads I query whether there was perhaps some other matter of substance which caught the attention of those wishing to burn the threads.
I am sad that Audiogon mods/admin chose to burn the threads rather than simply close the discussion because there were some really super and educational posts/tangents.. Now gone. The lowest common denominator rules.
Someone had my earlier post asserting the vaccine saves lives in response to a prior disparaging post removed. I don’t really care as long as the original disparaging remark that might cost more lives if taken to heart, not save them, was removed too. Didn’t bother to look. Just saying.
Creativity is free and the "hideous" or non esthetical appearance of my homemade devices is an hard proof that their basic cost is peanuts...Not a proof that they did not work...
He think that using my virtual page against me discredit me and go on posting my adress which i created in the first place ... 😁😊
Anyway my actual laboratory room with more than one hundred tubes and 50 bottles and cables all over the place is a "mad scientist cavern" way sillier than in these old images in my virtual page, my children laugh without end seeing my room but they are very pleased by the S.Q. though...Guess why? 😉
It will be comical one time for him to act like that but he repeat it instead of answering arguments...
Now it is pathetical because he is supposed to be a serious sellers...
Perhaps he feel my low cost devices a menace?
I dont think so though...
I think that thinking with sound arguments is not his forte...
@mahgister watch out I, think Ted might be trying to clone some of your devices - he appears to be obsessed with them
@pesky_wabbit, You're correct in assuming it wasn't about your post. It was directed at whoever censored my posts which were basically, me defending myself from some false accusations. Sorry if I came across as too defensive as well. It's hard to read intent and context in a forum such as this.
@nonoiseright after my post requesting a desist, you post
Amazing how some posts get deleted and others stay up. Nothing's going to change around here as long as there are thin skinned people who like to speak their mind but censor others.
All the best,
Nonoise
then you post
I've had posts reinstated by contacting the mods to have them take a good look at the posts and how they fit it with the context of the thread and not differ with others. Lately, I've given up on it due to the effort it takes and I don't want to have the mods spend all their time on something so small a matter, so sometimes I post what I did, above. The offenders know it and as a result, those in the thread can appreciate it.
I took that as referring to the previous post - me the offender. If it wasn’t and I got my knickers in a knot I sincerely apologise.
And how does the current situation of a commentator’s system correlate to their knowledge or experience of High Fidelity electronics and equipment … Only a tediously shallow individual would attempt to draw such a conclusion … Oh I see
