I'll start with my top Two...

-Kenjit

Seabiscuit......next month @ McD's..:(>
cu.ft.....not counting the other dimensions we don't perceive....

....which is obviously our loss....in his opinion....;)
asvjerry,
Not to be nasty...really, but I read your last post three times and I have no idea of what you are trying to say. Is it just me?
asvjerry,

Your best post, so far.
I have a few favorites, for very different reasons to which I will not disclose:

uberwaltz
auxinput
geoffkait
Audiotroy
Chakster
millercarbon
the lady who always deletes her posts
and the one guy who always talks s*^t about class D.

...every now & then, glupson....every now and then.....

Not often enough for my 'taste' (or lack of) either....*g*

My apologies and regards for tolerating the rest to arrive at such... ;)

roxy54....just tomic60 'n I trading hands at millercarbons' expense....
It's not you, really. *s*

Granted, mk is an intelligent person....but, like any of 'us' on any given date/time/place....it can get a bit....'much'.

Mea culpa, I do such as well....perhaps not so 'well', but....

I make no claims on being an expert.

Exasperating, perhaps....an 'ankle-biter', yup.  Gadfly, sure....

Just another absurder.....observing....*s*

I was going to list a few but after reading this I just kept thinking, "oh yeah, that guy too.".
I like it when we fight over audio, but when the posting gets political, we end up agreeing more.

This gives you an idea how contentious audio is.

When political threads start on the audiogon forum, and peace breaks out.

Not a joke. Seen it multiple times.
*g*  Everyone recognizes stupid.  There's even a name for the condition for those that don't.....

The 'Dunning-Kruger Effect'.

Fortunately, I'm not a victim.

I Know I'm so ghastly brilliant I can't surpass myself....🙄
For technical content, I've always enjoyed Atmasphere and Audiokinesis.

I'm dating myself here since it's been about 15 years or so since he's posted, but I loved Cornfedboy.  His posts were serious and hilarious at the same time.  I miss his presence here on Audiogon.

Michael
Cornfedboy was Kelly (sp?), an attorney from Colorado who eventually "represented" A'Gon @ one point and decided to no longer contribute due to such.

He "may" have also used the 2nd moniker of SLUGGO for late night/Scotch infused hilarious postings.

Bad with names as I cannot remember Cornfed's last.

Since Aprils Fools is past I'll add an honorable mention to Kublakhan (sp?) and I'll be damned if I can remember his last name as well.

Can probably look it up though as I recall some of the film/documentary work he did.

And...

The there's also "SLAPPY" (sp?) for those who recall.

DeKay

Oops! I forgot Audiokenesis! Always informative and a gentleman. I'd love to hear his speakers being a horn lover.
I like any poster who is respectful of others' opinions and stays on topic

Shock value is overrated.

Can you say Kenjit? I knew you could

I would like to be the first to nominate myself to this really dumb a** thread.  And I'll buy a beer for whoever else votes for me.
I will vote for you....I even as proof for the soudness of my vote...A## thread or not... My best to you...
Uh, make it a six pack and you got yourself a deal. Wait, make that 2 six packs! 🍺
OK GK its a deal, hopefully Vermont brewed Switchback will suit your taste.

Thanks mahgister, and you stay well.
When God was handin’ out ears, I thought he said beers, so I said “I’ll take two and make ‘em big”.

Jetter, you would fall under “you’re ALL my favorite”, which was my original response 😁.

If you attend RMAF this year (if it happens), I’d be happy to buy you a beer!
I just got a delivery from Wegman's of one of my favorite beers...Flying Dog "Raging Bitch" Belgian IPA...2 important points about this stuff: 8.3% alcohol, and great art from Ralph Steadman.
My vote is bdp24. In addition to being a musician, he is very knowledgeable on music, music history and all things audio. The complete package.

Steve, you neglected to mention I'm good in bed. Would a wink emojie make that funnier, or less so? I think I use it too much. The only people who would need the help are those who think I was serious, and who cares about them? ;-)

Hey, I just got my carton of Vicoustic Multifuser DC2's from Germany. Fantastic! Because my listening room walls are painted dark charcoal (Sherwin Williams "Mink"), I went with black. I use very subdued lighting, so they're barely noticeable. I recommended the DC2's to Kevin (uberwaltz) for the glass doors behind his new Spatial Audio OB speakers.

I would offer my list, but I don't want to inadvertently slight anyone, so I wont. I have a bunch I like, each for a different reason. Steve (slaw) is definitely amongst my Top 3. The only other guy I know with a Townshend Audio Rock table!

@wolf_garcia, in his column in the great PS Audio emag Copper Magazine, Roy Hall last year wrote he considers Pliny The Elder, an IPA by Russian River Brewing Company in Santa Rosa, CA, the best beer ever made. I'm trying to locate some locally.
Many years ago a Belgian Farmhouse Ale (green label looks like a checkered tablecloth) was said to be the "best beer" in some NY Times comparison, which is nonsense but I still drink the stuff...hard to find...
Saison Dupont? Yeasty and bready. Session beer for farm workers because the water wasn’t clean. Same reason they added hops on the India tea runs.
Need to update my list.
Going to have push Chuckles up towards the top.
I mean who else can manage to both rack up nearly 4000 posts in 18 months AND hold the record for the highest number of threads deleted.
Way to go!
I was so ingenuous I dare to post my list also and it need to be revised now... But I am no more ingenuous and will not communicate my revision...

I've enjoyed the more humorous and controversial posters over the years. Dissecting whether or not you should be listening to something you like or something that measures well gets me on the site never. Can there be a balance between sleepy and the day 1 poster that comes out with his gloves all laced up?

Maybe we need a thread called "enter at your own risk" and those that repeatedly push the "report" button can't access it.

I tend to like the ones who get their facts right and do not have secret agendas.

That includes many older posters that I have known since 2005 when I joined. Will not list them, since I might offend those that I might accidentally leave out.

But I really miss the one and only “almarg”.
