Harbeth P3ESR question (tongue in cheek (I think) but maybe not)
Give them a few weeks of break in once you move them lol.
Harbeth P3ESR question (tongue in cheek (I think) but maybe not)
If you swap them, they will both be on the outside, I think that's how my 7's were.
JBL 4349 or Klipsch Cornwall IV
The Klipsch speakers are fun but beware that if you like to trade gear the packaging is cheap which leads to local pickup and local pricing. For instance I sold me Forte IV's for just $2600 locally. I wasn't going to trust shipping them is those c...
Verity Audio Amadis Owners, Listener Impressions?
This thread is like 15 years old. Hopefully the guy is still healthy.
Looking for a simple system
I've never heard the other but did own the Studio II. It's an interesting speaker that I ran with a Coda Csib 150 wpc. The speaker is very power hungry because it uses, I believe, a subwoofer for the bass and mids. I've never seen someone run a su...
Which Harbeths?
I owned the C7 es3xd for a while and can vouch it is a great speaker. When people say Harbeth's can play your favorite songs and make them sound great, believe it. There is a clear window into the music and it only wants to make you turn the volum...
Subs?
In my experience you have to spend upwards of $20,000 to get the kind of speaker that has nice 30Hz and below bass. Most do okay with 40 plus so for me a sub is a good addition. Even with much more expensive speakers that reach deeper I want a sub...
Pass INT-25, split decision and maybe option?
Did the shop you borrowed it from have the same problem? Are you going to track down another one to listen to?
Getting a Divorce and can now buy floor standing speakers
Yes back together and looking at Totem in wall speakers lol.
Mullard EL34 that sounds best
The Avatar is a great amp. The new stock Mullards are very nice sounding tubes IMO compared to most. Do a google search and try to place the reviews of different tubes to your preferences.
speaker upgrade fever
Harbeth is a great speaker, never heard the Pulsar. Just be careful the Harbeth's IMO don't want to be pushed too hard. I heard the basket clink a couple times. Devore makes great speakers too but get out and listen to them no substitute for that.
SHIPPING speakers?
I've shipped a ton of stuff. The one time I let UPS pack an amp it got smashed. It was a heavy class A integrated and they didn't protect it the way I would have, but like mentioned above, they made good on it. I can only imagine over time the ru...
Pass INT-25, split decision and maybe option?
I went to a bar in Colorado and the sign read: liquor in the front poker in the rear. Point is we don't want to mess these things up. Well stated Thompson.
SHIPPING speakers?
Above craigslist, facebook marketplace could be good. TMR audio might buy them but won’t pay much. Heavy speakers really are a pain but normally worth it until you sell.
Class A\B or D for summer months (vs Class A)
Count the number and weight of old iron radiators needed to heat a house. I'd say your amp is a tiny fraction compared to any of them. You are better of putting that money into better insulation so your heating and cooling systems don't have to wo...
