Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Lap of Luxury..... Cheap Trick

Vastly underated band imho
Rick Nielsen is a superbly accomplished musician all round and I remember seeing him play with his infamous five neck Hamer onstage (before it was stolen)
@slaw

Robin Trower.  I finally saw him about 6 years ago in a small club.....incredible - a blow away.

Especially when he played "The Fool in me". Wow!

UPS delivered, a quick spin through the washing machine and The Band is on the TT!  Very nice!

listened to the new Jimi Hendrix CD. Amazon delivered it on a Sunday no less. Also listened to my newest favorite, "The Devil To Pay" by Kim Simmons & Savoy Brown. Only got to listen to the main rig for 2 hours today.

John Carpenter's "Vampires" Soundtrack. Good music and a really fun movie. Like a vampire western.
@reubent
Absolutely love the movie, cant say as ever seriously listened to the soundtrack though
Now of course i have too........
@uberwaltz - Yep. Great movie. If you watch it again, pay more attention to the music. It really helps set the mode for the movie. Of course, you could listen to the soundtrack too, but that's not as much fun. I do like the soundtrack, but it's more of a background music experience for me vs. a serious listen.
Any movie with James Woods is usually worth watching.
Be time to dig out the bluray and give it a whirl...again
Infected Mushroom - Converting Vegetarians and Return to the Sauce.  Both excellent sounding.

Santana "Supernatural" all four sides.  Plus Eagles, Bonnie Rait, and Allmond Brothers.

comparing my two copies of "Rough Mix".

A US pressing and a Classic Records..(lp)

Life is good.

..two songs in on each lp...no contest, the US pressing wins. The good part is the music is great.

@gerdessc,

Cool! Which record are you listening to? Are you familiar with his total output? If not, I may be able to help....if you want.

Steve
@slaw. Don’t have a record of his, but Moving On has been in the Tidal rotation.
@gerdessc,

No problem. There is no bad record that he has ever been involved with, IMO.

For a milder, more introspective..check out his Swell Season records.
For a good mix of mild,soulfull stuff check out his solo stuff.
For a more rockin’/intense experience check out The Frames, particularly "Fitzcaraldo".
His latest.."Between Two Shores" is no let down. Very Good!

Then there is his tribute to Jason Molina.Excellent! in every way
His collaboration with Eddie Vedder,..damn good!
The great Annie Lennox......Eurythmics "Be Yourself Tonight" "Sweet Dreams..." (lps)
Just returned from the LRS so more goodies to play
