Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

@reubent ,

I like to thank others for recommendations that result in a purchase.

Your recommendation of Marty Stuart "Way Out West" is on it’s way to me. I'm going to have a late Christmas... I've ordered around $500 already ..got over 1K in my cart! Decisions.....

Thanks!

BTW, I have around 3-4 copies of "Gaucho" , I finally whittled it down to my best copy a month or so ago.
Been on a vinyl deep clean bender this morning so.....
The smoker you drink the player you get.. Joe Walsh

2112.......Rush

The best of Uriah Heep
reubent,

Best copy of “Gaucho” is MCA audiophile pressing.

You will not need to listen to multiple copies.

@nkonor - That MCA Audiophile pressing is getting pretty expensive. I might pony up for one, or I might try a new re-issue. I'll reply back to this thread when I get whatever copy. It's a really fantastic album IMHO.
Back to the beginning........

Nutty, this one's for you - Robin Trower - "Long Misty Days"
Reubent great call. One of his best!   I saw him in a club a few years back, wow, did not disappoint!!!!

half way through these lps that I've set out today...

Pete Townshend "Who Came First"
Dave Alvin "Blackjack David"  MFSL
Alejandro Escovedo "Real Animal"
Richard Thompson "Electric" & "Front Parlor Ballads"
@ reubent,

Another, I ordered...... I think you were (probably others as well) recommending..

Jeff Beck "Loud Hailer" .

Thanks!
Remembering this last year in music.. the one who we lost that meant the most to me... Tom Petty...  hard to comprehend.......

I'm putting on my freshly cleaned lp of "MOJO"!
@slaw - Happy New Year! Enjoy your new copies of "Way Out West" and "Loud Hailer". I enjoy both of them very much and both prove that it is still possible to produce interesting and good sounding recording today. And by two guys who are not spring chickens.....

@nkonor @slaw - I ended up picking up the remaster of Steely Dan "Gaucho" at my LRS yesterday as a Birthday gift to myself. I'm listening to it now and it sounds very good. I would have liked to pick up the MCA Audiophile pressing, but a bird in the hand, and clean, new vinyl won out.

Happy New Year to You and ALL......
Weather Report - Heavy Weather, Now.
Kinda feeling like Elton John will be next. Madman or Honky Chateau. Or both, cause I don't have to work today.
