Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Booker Little - Booker Little

Found his own voice after Clifford Brown, only to also die far too young at 23.
Not really listened to Trower much tbh

However got me thinking and tonight listening to Rory Gallagher live
God bless his soul
This thread was founded on guy’s like Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose, Rory Gallagher.

Another guy that has acheived accolades on this post is Glenn Hughes.
Check out Glenn Hughes, The Way It Is.
He was in a band called Trapeze, Black Country Communion and little band called Deep Purple!

Rory is amazing and he left us way to early. Did you know he once was a session player for Jerry Lee Lewis?

N
I did not know that at all!
I remember seeing Rory live in England, small joint called Rock City in Nottingham, simply amazing!

I actually have an album somewhere by Trapeze too, now have to dig that out

Impressive!
Harmonie Ensemble New York: Music for Peter Gunn. What a beautiful recording. Spacious and dynamic. Been listening to the CD and to the ripped file—no difference through my Cambridge 851N. This is an album I have to get on Hi Rez.
@uberwaltz

I listened to GITM last evening as well. Been meaning to compare a few copies.
I’m a big fan of classic rock too. Trower Bolin Montreal Satriani new Bonamassa LP great listen to “Drive”.  If you want to give your system a SQ workout, with some newer tunes listen to Bob Moses “tearing me up” and “no sanctuary” by Marion Herzog feat Chris Jones
Among many others, right now, I'm really digging..

The Police "Zenyatta Mondatta"  (great lp!)
I just want to say thanks for the continued support on this thread! Please keep posting! And please remember "The Minority Report" as well.

Happy Holiday's!

uberwaltz,
Big fan of Benatar. They were the very first video played on MTV! Her guitarist- Neil Giraldo is Awsome and was actually the guitarist on the Rick Springfield hit "Jessie's Girl".

Now I'm listening to The Red Hot Chili ,Peppers, The Getaway
"Dark Necessities" is fantastic.
Seether, "Fake it"

In keeping with female vocals, I'll post this gem. She also plays a mean guitar.

(lps)
Avenged Sevenfold today, quite a bit of a misunderstood, wrongly labeled band imho.

Nightmare and self titled album

Not a bad track on Nightmare but standouts are "So Far Away" and if "Victim"does not move your soul......well you sold it a long time ago then....lol.
"And A Little Piece Of Heaven" is a truly spectacular if somewhat macarbe track that ranks highly on my radar.

Try them you might be surprised!
uberwaltz-
I have several Avanged Sevenfold. Great band. I like quite a bit of their media. (Mike Portnoy was great with them) "Hail to the King", "Crimson Day", "Heritic" all great tracks from Hail to the King.

Liquid Tension Experiment 2, CD. Recorded very loud. Mike Portnoy, Tony Levin, John Petrucci and Jordan Rudas. Check out "Chewbacca" and test your systems low frequency.

Slaw-
Big Beth Hart fan here. And a bit envious you have her on viny! She channels her inner Janis when she sings!
