Is Marantz AV8805 good enough pre amp for McIntosh MC8207 you will not notice or hear any difference between the 8802A and the 8805. unless youre into having the latest and greatest, Save yourself $3,000 and get the 8802A IMO.
Is Marantz AV8805 good enough pre amp for McIntosh MC8207 I have been using the 8802A for about 18 months with Bryston amps . I cannot say enough about the Marantz. very musical in 2 Channel and 7.1. the connectivity of the Marantz is endless and easy to set up. new ones are selling for approximately...
Integrated Amplifier I use the Cambridge CXA80 . Its reasonably priced and sounds great. Using it with Golden Ear Triton1's and B&W CDM N1's. the CXA60 is less expensive, puts out less watts, and is an outstanding integrated.
Suggestions for Amp & Preamp or Integrated for my speakers Consider the Cambridge cxa600. Under ur budget and great reviews
Processor recommendation get the Marantz 8802A, I own one, purchased new. you can get great deals on used ones since marantz came out with a new processor the 8805 i believe is he model #. not much difference between that and the 8802A in regards to electronics.
Home Theater Processor the DACs in the Marantz are excellent sounding. I purchased the Oppo 205 and now using the DAC's in it for my music, movies, computer, and tv streaming.
Home Theater Processor I love my Marantz 8802A. couldn't be more pleased with the sound and the processing of video/audio. you can find deals on used ones!
Just starting to look for 4K Bluray player I purchased the OPPO 205 and so glad I did that rather than the 203. it's a great player for movies as the 203, but for music the 205 is the one to get.
What Center Channel are you using in your Home Theater? I too am a GE enthusiast!! have the Triton Ones and the XXL center, and Triton7's as surrounds. recently switched to the GE's from Maggies 1.7i's. needed a change after 25+years with maggies. glad I swithced to the GE's
JL Audio e112 or HSU ULS MK2 I also own an HSU sub and found it fantastic to integrate with my Maggies and now I use it with Triton ones which have built in subs. Bass integration with music is fine. and with movies it will blow you out of your seat. save your $ and get 2 HSU...
Excited GE Enthusiast @gdhal I was able to stream the Simmons / Brown album on amazon prime. Really enjoyed it , I love the blues. not a big Jazz fan though, but give me the soul that blues emits and I can listen for hours. Great electric guitar! thanks for the Tip!!
Excited GE Enthusiast @gdhal I gathered that , I have never seen mention of the GE on discussions here. IMO Too bad they are the BEST speaker for the $ but not enough bragging rights for some! I have been to the GE Triton forums and they are a bunch of generous and do...
