Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Rashaan Roland Kirk: Prepare Thyself To Deal With A Miracle.
way ahead of its time, great soundstaging too.
Terrence Blanchard: Soundtrack from The Comedian.
music and recording is sublime. RBCD up sampled via Cambridge 851N.

Harmonie Ensemble New York: Music for Peter Gunn. What a beautiful recording. Spacious and dynamic. Been listening to the CD and to the ripped file—no difference through my Cambridge 851N. This is an album I have to get on Hi Rez.
Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra: Tchaikovsky’s 4th. A beautiful recording on SACD. I’m listening Via Qobuz 24/192. Second movement is so engaging and the piccolo in the 3rd movement is fantastic.  Also contains a sublime double concerto for clarinet and bassoon (Leshnoff) both fun and sublime. Is it me or is this stuff really really good?

Marie Stockmarr Becker and Ilaria Macedonia: J S Bach Sonatas for Viola (da Gamba) and Harpsichord. Channel Classics Records, 2021. Very well recorded. the Viola is a palpable presence in the room, as they say.

Guillaume Tourniaire, Orchestra Victoria:

Elan—Ballet Music from Operas by Saint-Saens.

SACD, Melba Records, 2011.
