Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

CJ- Thank you for thinking of me! Yes- but I believe only their latest “Unending Ascending” has been on my list. I’ll check more of it out on Qobuz as I love the space rock!
Whoever handed you those albums must have a good source- a great thing to have. I walk into the store I shop at (Amoeba Hollywood) and they’ve never heard of half the stuff I’m looking for.

If you have some spare time check out the post above- I had never heard of “The Mighty Bard” but it took me by surprise. They’re really good.

stereo5,

I really enjoy the CCR "Live At Woodstock". They really sound live; I mean that in a good way.

Have you heard of the group Gong? I was just given a few of their albums to listen to and I think they might be right up your alley.

Pink Floyd, Animals. Acoustic Sounds SACD

Tool, Fear Innoculum . CD

CCR, Live At Woodstock. 2 records. Fantasy Records.

The biggest difference is that there are no longer the extreme left or right vocals. There is more bass and perhaps a better overall sound improvement. But that does seem to be minimal.

@ozzy

Tell me the differences you hear. I’ve only listened to the first one so far, but I did hear something that wasn’t on any of the other versions and I probably missed many more.

The re re re mix re re remastered Beatles 1962-1966 and The Beatles 1967-1970 are out.

2018 Grammy Nominees(CD RCA 80155-2) A good representation of relatively new music. Some of the standout tracks JAY-Z-Portugal The Man- Julia Michaels- Lorde and Chris Stapleton.

Now Playing:

Pilot Voyager- The Structure Is Still Under Construction

Sorry I took so long to get back to you. I put on the Live in Japan album and my wife emerged from her office, started smiling and singing along.

Thanks for the suggestion.😁

Now Playing:

The Id- Disaster Movie

(Interesting recording from a band who’s members have never met)

Hall & Oates-The Singles(CD SICP 30437 Japan) Starts another diverse Sunday night vinyl session.

curiousjim,

Live In Japan has such a live (innocence) sound to it. Can't say the songs are that great, but I give them credit for playing without any added sonic overdubs.
