Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Joanne Shaw Taylor

A little pre concert warmup.  JST is performing in Cincinnati, OH tonight.  This makes my third time seeing her and she always puts on a great show.

@nutty - I was just going to ask you if you were going to the show at Memorial Hall tonight. Enjoy the show! That is one of my favorite venues.

Lynyrd Skynyrd (RIP)

2014 Tribute at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, with Greg Allman - Tuesday's Gone (and much more)

Hbarrel what DAC are you trying out?

Mitch2  post inspired me to listen to the Skynyrd playlist on Qobuz.  I like the original lineup’s stuff up until 77.  Before the day the music died.  RIP.

@reubent -  The Joanne Shaw Taylor show was 2 hours of amazing!  And yes, Memorial Hall is a very nice venue with beautiful architecture and great acoustics.  I must say that her band was probably the best that I've seen to date, especially the female drummer.

Currently listening to JST The Blues Albumn produced by Joe Bonamassa.  "Let Me Down Easy" was amazing live.  Really showcasing her vocal abilities.

Mick Taylor first album Japanese Edition and "Listen to this Ronnie" (Reagan) Live bootleg, great sound quality, both on regular CD.

@rubent - Beth Hart is playing April 29th at The Andrew J Brady Music Center.  I've got tickets to see her too.  She's on my bucket list of entertainers to see live.

No playing - Beth Hart | War In My Mind

That’s nothing compared to when Morton Downey Jr. teamed up with Lemmy.

BTW @nutty congrats on one of the longest ongoing threads in these parts, now in its 10th year!

@mapman,

Thank you for the kind words and thanks to everyone that has contributed over the years.

The sara k. album is one of the best produced and recorded albums I have ever heard (listening to 24/44.1 file).

@jafant

I Googled Testament and I see they have about a hundred albums ;^)  They must be good if your posting them.  Can you point to a good album as a jumping off point to get into their music?

Sure- start with the 1st album/cd by Testament. Then work forward. Let me know your impressions and thoughts on this legendary Thrash Metal band.

Happy Listening!
