@asvjerry, three hours of Rave, is likely six ... Guarantee those beats linger on well after the performance is through ;-) Hmm, what to do with that "sports" visual ... okay, I’ll try and keep it Sunday clean. Thanks! Then, the follow up (as some one-two punch TKO combo) Weezer Video ... Help!
Speaking of Weezer. Recently seen them in action, in a not so great sound setting. Not to worry, this man always come prepared with a pocket full of ear plugs for thyself and the gang .... Pretty cool show
Anywho, here is another Sunday morning treat ... radio transmitted from the Pacific to thee Atlantic. Enjoy! Hehehe

So, I kept reading about how good Roger Watters "Amused to Death" is, so I listened to the first track on Qubuz and there was some old fart talking through the entire song! I had to turn it off.
Please tell me there are some decent tracks to listen to!

@ozzy
the narrative sets up the tone and theme of the album. Starting with the second song (What God Wants) you will hopefully enjoy it. My favorite song is “The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range”. If you listen carefully, there is a lot to hear. Just play the entire disk at a moderate volume, it will grow on you as it did to me.

...and the pigs snacked on pate' of Woofin' Wolf after they dug all the slugs out of his sorry butt.....'wasted but not wanting for a well-deserved wind-up in the HollyHills..." (3rd porker was hip, addressed on Blue Jay Way....it does exist, BTW...)
'Sports visual' stems from 1:45 from the FBS hisself...
🤪....and Sunday (aka, 'FunDay') is very subject to being subjective....
*S*...not quite 'coastal' here. but a good day for 'coasting'...sun's out, the snow's patches are melting away, spouse is up from Greenville for the weekend....
Listening to an LP! Omgawd.....'The Duke' Ellington & Orch. jazzing up Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite....some alt Xmas sounds for 12/'22.
(Maybe do an 'intervention' on some retail B&M stores....."Quit playin' that usual jive 'fah la la foolery' and move some feet 'n product!")
....elves dressed in colorful camo, daypacked with cable sets 'n T-byte sticks...
As the sci-guy said during the 'sound & light show' in Close Encounters:
"....and we'll take over this conversation....Now...." *and all manner of noise gets thrown down by the alien Dj...*
Made sense to me...gotta preview that 'out of town' act before they tour the big venues....what's edgy on Earth may not move on Mars.....or suk near Saturn, y'know?
..while thinking alien in nation indignation...there's This mis-tery....
(I don't make this sort of thing, just try to make up a mind about it....*L*)
....coming to a body of water near You....."Smurfs' Up....?!" ;)

"....and These are a few of my Favorite Things.....raunchy drum kicks....crazed 'tar tricks....when I'm feeling 'trad'....
I simply resort to my 'favorite' Things....
...and then I don't feel quite mad."
(From the alt "My Feigned Laddie". not shown at your local fart theatah.....)

Segue into Court & Spark (Nautilus 1/2 spd. master), since spouse bought the recent book on Ms Mitchell...good timing, since she's just at the point in it where this album is being made...*S*)

@ozzy - "Amused to Death" is a concept album. I don't think any of the individual tracks hold up on their own. However, played in its entirety, in one sitting, it hold up pretty well. But only if you like it. Some/many won't. I like it, but it's not on my desert island list.
I think many of the comments you read about it are due to it being mixed with Qsound spatial enhancing processing to give it a more 3D soundfield. It indeed does have 3D sound qualities.

I tried to listen to Amused to Death once. I think Waters is a genius. I also think he is a sanctimonious a$$. That part seemed to show through on this one. I couldn’t get through it. I need to give it another try I suppose.
I do like QSound. I think Sting's Soul Cages was recorded that way and it is a great recording.
