Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Well, I was playing some selections over last weekend from my Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Anthology set #6. I have two of these sets, and always keep my eyes peeled for another at a reasonable cost. Just to check, I did a search on eBay last Saturday, and lo and behold, Goodwill had a set #3, stated in ‘good condition’ for $45. I took a chance, as that is 2-3+ times less what these usually go for.

Arrived Wednesday, opened it, and it is more like Mint- condition. I’m not sure it was actually ever played, and if so, very sparingly. So, turned out to be a great deal. And shipped out incredible fast. So, I’ll be listening to a lot of this set over the next few days.

Set #3 is live recordings from 1960-1970.

Wednesday night I played discs 1 & 2. Tonight, discs 3,4, &5. I guess my turntable is getting a break ;-)

Love these RCO anthology sets.

I love my tape collection TBH.
This has been a hectic weekend and I need to be in the right mood and frame of mind to play records.
It's just so easy to pop in a tape or hit play on Qobuz streaming.

Steve Miller was first record I played this weekend and probably last.

Time for a few more tapes before an early night as up at 4.15am to fly to work again😕
You guys are rocking today!

Bkeske, Good to see Pere Ubu being represented in the mix. What a great band
Probably old hat for many of you, but I  listened to "The rockin 1000" on YouTube tonight. Surprisingly good recordings of 1000 musicians playing Rock in an arena.
Sounds like a terrible idea, I know, but they pull it off well and it's fun and inspiring to see so many musicians, so into their music.
