floor......concrete or suspended wood? if wood can it be braced?
how much bass energy is involved? full range speakers? subwoofers? do the speakers/subs have any decoupling footers? like to listen loud?
resonance to an amp in a highly dynamic system can be a significant factor in music focus and bass articulation. the solution starts with the floor and speakers.
if you have a suspended wood floor you can’t practically tame, then it’s a process of experimenting as there is no one answer. too many variables. i’d start with mass loading; such as a sand box to provide and impedance layer for the resonance to bleed off. but i’m getting ahead of myself. then there is the WAF and whether it's a dedicated room or a living room.

the flooring is wood decking set onto 10 inch floor trusses, ans suspended.
the proposed subs to be used do have their own (optional) iso footers installed
I do not listen regularly to extreme levels. once in a great while perhaps. now and then one needs to "Pour some sugar" on it, or twist the fun knob up with some aC DC " you shook me all night long;'. otherwise nope. usualy the fun button rests on just above conversational levels.
the flooring is not tops in class but doesn't seem to flex or allow exterior forces to infuse exteraneous reasonances from merely walking about.
FYI.... there will likely be no TT used in the signal chain at all.

GAIA II footers made a much improved sound on my speakers. Tamed the bass which could sound bloated and brought the sound of the speakers more focused. It was a lot of money but worth every penny. |
With suspended wooden floors I’d look at sandbags or Symposium shelves, |
Not sure for your application, but you really do not need anything more than the vibrapods, both cones and discs. Great value and they work. Spending outrageous amounts on these things is insane. |
I’m somewhat in the process of looking for an isolation system for my entire set up. The only one that I’ve had the opportunity to audition are the EVP’s. They recommended trying them under my speakers first, and then adding them to the entire system. They definitely worked. The sound tightened up and sounded more musical with better dynamics. It wasn’t huge but definitely made listening more enjoyable. It improved areas that I didn’t know I had a weakness in. |
Under speakers, Townshend Podiums. Search the comments, several have compared and gone from Gaia and other stuff to Podiums, there is no comparison. Expensive but worth every penny. Under components, Townshend Pods. You will get better results directly under each component. But they do make them for racks that can support a large load. I put them under my turntable rack, that is about 750lbs. To touch that massive rack and see it gently sway at about 1Hz is really something! Yes both the components and the rack are on Podiums. Before that it was Nobsound springs. Before that BDR Cones, and too many other things to list. Townshend is the best of the best. Nobsound are extremely good for the money. In between is a lot of stuff that costs a lot more than Nobsound but really isn't much better, if any.
I mention this because the mistake I see you about to make is you think "middle of the road" means buying the stuff in the no-mans land between Nobsound and Townshend. When in fact what will work much better is a mix of Townshend and Nobsound. Those are so good for what they cost it isn't even funny. So you put the speakers on Podiums, the rest on Nobsound. Or some other similar mix. |
Yes I agree the Townshend podiums are amazing I have a wooden floor and have podiums under my power amp and speakers, the ones under the speakers made the most improvement in my system |
Herbie's Audio Labs makes several styles. These are made out of a polymer. There are even some you can put under each level of your rack. For speakers my size Townsend Podiums are over $2600.

I am a big fan of the various Townsend isolation products. Tried many different products over time. Should have listened to the “buy once cry once” advice and gone directly to Townsends. Made a remarkable difference in my system. Have them under speakers, amps and equipment rack. I would say though that I got ~70% of the benefit from putting them under the speakers. |
I never own English product that I like or have meal that I consider delicious but I have hunt some good fox there many years ago and one time lady in Oxford library couldn’t resist and host me for night. Is there too completion with Townsend at that or higher price? |
It might be Silent Running Audio isolation platforms. I just got one for my turntable. I think for speakers it is Townsend platforms. It is next on my list. |

the platform is a 3 inch thick arrangement of Black Walnut with four drilld and tapped 1/4 in. 20 threads. What footers do you plan on using between amp and wood platform? Look at Townsend isolation options and critical mass footers (pricey) for use between platform and floor. You'll need something that will sit rock steady on carpeting. Isoacoustics can be used under the component or the platform. You'll need the Orea Bordeaux to support 100 lbs. |

i’ve used with good to great success items from Herbies and Vibra pods and cones in past instances.
the spring dealies are new to me. not totally sold on them.
as for the NOB thingys… could someone put the direcdt link to what you feel will work in my scenario? I’m a bit lost in finding what I think is the right move/item.

I had thought only to use/access the four designated drilled and threaded inserts to which I would screw in some sort of cone or spike like one sees on so many amp stands or racks.
Talking to Zanden rep Eric I was told Zanden spent a lot of time addressing isolation and noise pollution from interior and exterior forces and got the impression only dealing with the platform base itself was my current concern. given I’ve already got better than half a dime in the wood alone.
in fact Eric mentioned the maker of Zanden products also has optioned their own sort of ‘vibrapods’ to place beneath their amps. $35 ea.
sheeeesh.
guess I should be counting my lucky stars I chose not to do mono blocks.

I suggest you use Black Ravioli Footers directly under the amp and put the wood plan on the floor. It is important to drain vibrations from the amplifier’s enclosure.,If you want to go over the top use Gaia or Stillpoints footers under the plank

@glory I do not know the CM2's, but I own the Townshend podiums, Oreas, Gaia, Credo, Herbies and Nobsound.
When I listened to the Townshend podium and Credo I could not believe the sound impact which I will stay away from describing because it is objective; so talked to a friend that is a sound physicist PhD and asked how to best measure the impact. To make the story short I ended with a few instruments from his lab and we measured all of them, not only for isolation, but for decay. Nothing comes close to the Townshend podiums and Credos.
I posted some numbers in another Townshend podium vs Orea thread.
I have no reason to be fan of one over the other, I own all of them but I ended replacing everything with Townshend products, except for 2 Credo platforms that came with their speakers.
