After 20 years, in the market for a power amp I've been fortunate to be able to compare the Coda S5.5 to a highly modified and regarded current Class D stereo amp as well as Prima Luna product. Same experience as @mclinnguy, no comparison.
ATC SCM40A speakers I've owned ATC 40 passive driven by Coda amplification, now 50 active and agree with all the above.
After 20 years, in the market for a power amp +3 Coda S5.5. There is a good discussion at: Coda S5.5
Thoughts: Mofi Sourcepoint 888 vs Fyne Audio 501sp? I spent a lot of time with both the 501 and briefly auditioned the 501SP. Long story short; the 501 sounded terrible. Put over 1000 hours on them with no improvement. I had several friends with critical listening skills over and that session last...
Phono stage for second system In some ways, I prefer this to my $8k tube phono stage. I could live happily with it in my main stereo. iFi iPhono 3 Black Label Phono Stage
Coda 07x Preamp latest version vs previous version I've owned the most recent 07x paired with #8. Not noisy and not at all tube-like or warm.
???What's The LEAST Expensive "End Game"Amplifier You've Ever Heard??? Although I mentioned the Coda S5.5 above (my main stereo amp), I agree with the fellow who recommended the Rega Aethos integrated. A real sleeper.

Humminguru Nova - newest ultrasonic record cleaner My Hummingurus (one for wash, one for rinse) have done a great job cleaning my LPs. The Nova appears to compete with the DeGritter at 1/3 the cost.
Kirmuss 'In the Groove' Ultrasonic Record Restorer - Upscale Audio Edition Like you, I prefer a rinse. I bought two HumminGurus; one for wash and one for rinse. I previously owned a VPI and that would be ideal to do your rinse and dry. The new HG model looks to be similar in performance to the DeGritter at 1/3 the cost.
Kirmuss 'In the Groove' Ultrasonic Record Restorer - Upscale Audio Edition I owned a Kirmuss and agree; does a great job cleaning LPs but was too much hassle. For about half the price, I purchased the ultra-sonic LP cleaner linked below. Does a great job and is easy to use. HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaner T...
LTL Freight Shipping Company Recommendation for Speakers A logistics company will find the best for your needs for a small fee. I've used Echo Logistics several times with great success. I believe Legacy Audio also uses them. Echo Logistics
Integrated amp for Legacy Focus speakers +1 Coda based on my personal experience when I had Focus XD speakers in my home.
Affordable Grounding +1 on the Puritan GroundMaster. Short Review From Terry London of Stereo Times
Affordable Grounding Lots of discussion of these devices, primarily DIY, here: DIY Ground Box Thread I haven't tried nor do I advocate these tweaks but if one were to do so, I'm guessing the improvement would be more substantial with one of these. A relative bargain... |
