JM Reynaud Magic Stands V1 versus V2

Would anyone know if there is a sonic difference between the 2 versions of JMR's Magic Stands???

Thank you

Yup slightly more magic in the v.2s!

sorry couldn’t resist.

I just demoed some JM Offrande V2  yesterday! They were on the Magic stands V.1 likely. Really great speakers for sure. That treble is just something special along with the midrange. Bass was good on the low end but I thought the mid\upper bass was not quite there but close. He didn’t have them dialed in and not in my home but I was real close to pulling the trigger cause it may have just been a positioning thing. Still considering them as the price was “buy/sell and come up even” I believe if they didn’t work out.

sorry nothing to do with your question it just reminded me of my local demo yesterday.

I've emailed JMR and a couple US distributors, to no avail, either no reply or they didn't know.

I have the Bliss Jubilee. I know the V1 stands were voiced well for the Bliss Silver, with the Jubilee version sounding different from the Silver.

This is copied from the JMR website (Bliss Jubilee info page)...

"In order to optimize its performance in terms of bandwidth and sound image, it should be associated with the Magic Stand II."

This said, I preferred my Reynaud Twins MkII with 29" Target HR stands VS the 24" Magic stands.

Yes, obvious.

I didn't try the Magic Stands @ home until months after I owned the Twins.

I did audition them with the MS's and they sounded great in the dealers very nice/purpose built listening room.

The heavy Target stands in my setup offered extended bass and an increase in overall detail (exactly what the MS's are said to offer per online reviews/comments).

This said, I only spent a few hours with the Magic Stands and they did not have spikes (the owner had placed small hard rubber squares on the bottoms).
