Vacuum Tube Retailer Option

I'm a frequent flyer for tube purchases at Upscale Audio and Tubedepot.

However, I've bought a bunch of tubes from this guy in Ohio.  He sells on eBay too.  He tests his tubes and I've had no duds or issues.

Thought I'd promote good honest midwestern business folk.  His prices are aggressively competitive.

Very oddly they don't appear to stock 6DJ8/6922 tubes whatsoever. Prices do seem sharp but how long have you been buying his tubes? I was buying Gold Lions KT77's wherever I could get them cheapest and often I would lose a tube within 6 months. I bought my last quad from Upscale paid a bit more but the tubes have been rock solid for 16 months of heavy use.
Nothing here that can't be bought at Tube Depot! I myself will search and pay for ORIGINAL US, UK, German, Holland, Japan tubes. Not these Chinese, Russian, Slovak cheap imitations! A real, made-in-Britian KT88 will sell for $200 + and last far longer and sound better! Same for the 12AX7/ECC83 - $100 + for GENUINE  UK Mullards! REAL Mullard GZ34/5AR4's are superior to current production and sell for $100 + (and worth it!).
Well sometimes roberjerman, some of us just may need a KT150 and, since there's no NOS of those, you need a vendor like this!
I've got about 500 hours on a set of Tung Sol 7581a power tubes that I bought from this vendor.  No issues.
They look like they cater to guitar guys..... you will never find 6dj8 or its cousins at a music store.  Although a lot of their stuff looks like it would appeal to both musicians and hi fi.
TubeDepot is reliable, my issue with them is that a fair amount of NOS tubes that they listed on the website are always out of stock. I ordered NOS 6dj8 tubes from Upscale, they shipped me 7dj8 (same brand) and they are noisy as hell.

I tend to purchase NOS tubes from Brent Jesse
Ditto on Brent Jessee Tubes.   Good selection of high quality NOS tubes at reasonable prices, good advice/customer service and quick to ship.

I recommend the seller tubemaze (Not affiliated with him) on ebay. He offers 30 day return policy and his prices are fair. Take that Upscale! (Overpriced and no returns)
Used to buy from Upscale, until he got too uppity. Been buying power tubes from these guys(http://tctubes.com/), for the past decade, with zero problems/much satisfaction and Brent Jesse also(no need to elaborate there). A while back, I had an octet of 1970’s GE 6550A’s in my monoblocks and one managed to short(after over a year of use). I sent the remaining three, from one mono’s quad and they managed to find a NOS match for me.  They said it's readings weren't up to their normal NOS sales standards, so- they gave it to me.   Maybe I’m easy, but- I was impressed.
+1 on tctubes - have purchased NOS rectifiers and 6L6GCs from them - good prices and quality, and quick shipment
Check out U.S. Tube Audio to buy your tubes in Scottsdale, AZ. Some of my 'phile friends are tube buff's and have had very good service from them during the past ten years. Been in business for 41 years.
Andy at Vintage
his testing gear top notch
really knows his stuff
fair prices
prompt shipping
excellent packing

I have had no issues with the the tubestore. Great service and tubes all stand up well. Shipping prompt.
I have found from others Cryoset has excellent matched Cryoed tubes
and for matched quads of 300B Tubes the current Golden Lions are excellent
value, and beat tubes double the cost and these last . I have bought vintage for tubes for years . For $560 a match quad is a great deal .vintage
$3-4K no thanks.  for small tubes once in a while I will buy vintage. But the current Golden Lion 6sn7 , and12ax7  are solid ,dependable and reasonably priced the Cryo treatment not only adds to the tolerances, which adds fidelity ,
ss well as longevity. One addition Buy Stabilant,or Stabilant-22  after cleaning with high purity Alcohol. He Stabilant is is by NASA and about 50 other major companies . It is great signal enhancer truly makes any vacuum tubes sound better but all connections and proven to last over 12 years if left on.
+2 for TCTubes.  They have a tremendous testing set up, are thorough about it, and honest.  They seem to know the value of the NOS/Vintage tubes they have, but you can count on it when you buy it.
+3 TC Tubes. I have visited them on several occasions and they are extremely knowledgeable and know exactly what they are doing. Aside from that, Tyler and Chelsea are among the nicest people I have ever encountered in the audio business.
"Aside from that, Tyler and Chelsea are among the nicest people I have ever encountered in the audio business. "  YEP!!
I've also had good luck buying from Tonal Tubes, got a set of six matched preamp tubes from them.
Thetubestore, Tube Depot, and even Uppity Audio for some flashing Mullards…all no problemo.
@wolf_garcia - I have to admit: I never had any issues either, with anything that I purchased from, "Uppity Audio". Kevin was my go-to guy, for a couple decades. I especially loved the NOS Sylvania 6550’s he used to(alas) stock. Great products and testing procedures.
Yeah man…Mullard 6201s and 4024s…I simply bought them from "Uppity," they sent them to me, and I used them. Just not that difficult at all.
