The first Bandwidth (Boost) charge. 1/10 of 1 cent per view of your own paid-for ad. Isn't that what the listing fee is supposed to cover - viewing (not obscuring) of your ad? We pay sales commission (percentage-of-sale) for a CLASSIFIED AD. As consumers, we should expect all perks be included, not excluded. What is the percentage-of-sale fee for anyway, if not that?
"Update" is a complete failure. Obligatory keyhole images are absurd! This looks like a project from some college kid graphic designer. Impossible to navigate effectively. After years of using Audiogon, today I just gave up. The new format is not worth attempting. Audiogon is a tool and should be implemented to use a such. Cute, slick and edgy are antithetical.
Sorting is also totally broken, has no function. Selecting a sorting method causes a refresh but zero change to the search results in either Top results or Similar results. Just go back to the old UI already.

We really want to thank you for your feedback on the Search and Listing View changes. There were a few technical glitches with the search functionality, and we will be working quickly to rectify those to be more accurate. We will be introducing the ability to switch between the Classic View and the new Grid View in the coming days so that users have control over their preference. We appreciate your patience. Again, thank you for your support of Audiogon and for your honest opinion on this matter.
Echo all of the above, user experience has been significantly downgraded, the list view was much easier to scan. It seems like the search results are incomplete and grouped incorrectly also with keyword vs. similar items result sets.
Please restore the site to something that works. Not only is the new interface ill conceived, it just doesn't work. Someone should be fired over this debacle. Its impossible to see all the listings for any given brand. Like many, I strongly prefer the "old" list view but as a buyer and a seller, I cannot tolerate a search function that cannot search. Audiogon's response was "this is what members wanted". Really???
I agree new format is awful. Searches are the most UN USER friendly I have ever seen. Old format was fast and efficient while new one is like stepping in quicksand at night. Bogged down, can’t find a thing. Please return former design.
OK... this was stated above: hello everyone, Audio "goners": it's no use griping. Audiogon management would always expect us to gripe as usual. after some time, the mgmt would see us to get use to it (sooner or later) unless we do something more than just complaining.
My response: I will not list again on the site nor will I purchase anything from the site unless they fix their stupidity. Not sure I could get use to it because is simply doesn't work as I need it to.
Also saw this above: I do like the they improved their search engine. The old one was right out of the 1980's.
My response: Have you not been reading the posts? No one is getting the search engine to work properly now. Just because they say they fixed it doesn't mean they did. I didn't have many issues with the old search engine.
I had two listings end the night before this mess and I surely won't be relisting now. US Audio Market hmmm? I have no problem fomenting insurrection after this blatant arrogance.
Yesterday I warned Audiogon that their new picture based system was a big mistake. I have been in the IT field for years. Simple is always better. They responded by saying that they would only change it if they had enough complaints. NOT a good message from any company to one of the clients. They made the classic mistake in IT. They had a young programer who can't read create a picture system instead of hiring some of their users to advise them on simplicity. I do like the they improved their search engine. The old one was right out of the 1980's.
The search system is really an array of failures. For example I search "ps audio" and the TOP RESULTS are relevant, but limited to only 8! Lord knows that I'm looking for all of the PS Audio gear and really most interested in the NEW ones. Secondly the SIMILAR RESULTS are literally anything with "PS" and "AUDIO" in it. Klipsch is all over the results because kliPSch. Not to mention there are 154pages of results including all that "AUDIO" music albums, not to mention no 200/page list view. ::facepalm:: Again... really should have done some proper testing. It's 2018, not 1998.
You really screwed the pooch with this update. Just terrible. I search and get a bunch of totally non-related stuff. So hard to use. Ugh. Why do you want to chase people away?

Searching is a waste of time.....I'll be using this site less and US Audio Mart more. They need to go back to the old search (list) view and tools. Can't buy if you can't find what your looking for!!! Go back to the old version!!!
Agree with above comments! This is a VERY poor interface (trying to be kind) and truly not an improvement from previous version. PLEASE Audiogon, get it together and fix this problem! Truly need something waaaaay more user friendly ... you know, like it was!!!
Between this thread and the "Like the new look to audiogon ?" thread in "misc-audio" there has yet to be a single piece of positive feedback. I got an email saying management is aware of both threads. Hopefully the outcry will result in getting the good old Audiogon that we loved back into play.
I can’t stand the new layout. My old search method was... Search > Sort Price Hight to Low > Show 200 items per page... and then quickly scroll through the list of items. I’m now being presented with tons of thumbnails of "similar items" that I’m not wanting to look at and sorting by price doesn’t have any effect on sorting. It’s so much easier to have a list with everything on one page versus having a ton of cluttered "similar results" thumbnails that are spread across multiple pages, not to mention that are items that I have no interest in.
I really really hope they create an option for "List View" or "Classic Mode" because Audiogon is broken to me now.
It was perfect how it was before. I want efficiency, not a flashy jumble of difficult to navigate thumbnails that are a total eye sore. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.
The new look is terrible and very difficult to use. Please give us back the option to see a LIST of components without pictures, sortable by price, date listed, etc. In the meantime, I will not be listing anything for sale on Audiogon, and I do not anticipate searching the new-look listings for possible purchases, either.
You have broken this site. Please hit the undo button and return things to a functional state. I can not find anything I search for and I will certainly refrain from listing anything until this site is fixed. Very bad move on the part of management at Audiogon. It is impossible to do a search for Audio Research. This was possible for decades but no longer!!!!
The tiles are dreadful. The keyholes even worse. You can't rapidly see what's being advertised; product name fades into gray, along with all the fuzzy around the circular photo. PLEASE GO BACK TO PREVIOUS VERSION.
In its current state, the update is terrible. Other sites like Amazon and Craigslist also
display items in an “image view” format, but they also let the user switch to a
“list view” if they want. I wish we
could have a similar option. I always use list view when I have a choice.
The new format makes it less likely that I will see
something and make an impulse purchase. I admit buying items that I normally would not purchase just
because it popped up in a listing, like a cable that I always wanted to try
that shows up at a good price. Looking
at the bright side, the new format means I will be spending less on audio going
forward, at least here on Audiogon.
For a listing format that I like, I like Audio Asylum
because they use a list view that includes thumbnail photos of almost every item that is listed. They do not get much traffic so I stopped
using them for selling. But going forward, that site, as well as Audio Mart,
must be pleased that Audiogon will be driving buyers and sellers to their sites.
I for one will be spending more time at those places when looking to buy or
sell if this “update” does not improve.
Is this really going to be the new website? I hope that A'Gon is still in the process of updating and they haven't finished yet. I went to do a search on a manufacturer and all I got back was little pictures. Please bring back all the features of the old site.
yes it's getting worst and worst each time.. it's not useful at all, and more bugs.. i can't look into the "more items from this seller" what a ridicules update.
New UI has so much wasted real estate with superfluous keyhole photos. I simply cannot use the site effectively anymore on my mobile device. Who the hell is in charge of this?
