Marianne Faithfull

Marianne Faithfull has died.  She was always one of my favorite artists.  Another great (in my opinion) is gone.

well thats a sad news she was a great artist. I love her live concert album.

Just came on here to post this. One of my favorite female singer/songwriters!

R.I.P. Marianne...THANKS for the wonderful music!!!

Gonna go right now and pull out and listen to my vinyl copy of "Broken English"...

This is quite sad news.  I like her versions of a lot of music.  In particular, I like her version of the song she co-wrote with Jagger--"Sister Morphine."

Age 78.  She was one of those timeless artists that you thought would always be around.  RIP, Ms. Faithful.

Marianne was one of those people that you just wanted to have in your world. It is a part of the past that many of us will miss. I'm sure it must have hit Mick deeply.

RIP
I emember the first time I heard “Why D’Ya Do It". Steve Winwood was on keyboards too.

At the dawn of the 20's, I anticipated this would be a brutal decade for 1960's generation bands, musicians, and singers. Think about how many we've already lost in the first four years.

I had her first album for a few years and bought Strange Weather when it was released in 1987. I couldn't get over the change in her voice–like Lotte Lenya! So long, Marianne.

A great performer

Some achievement with her lifestyle to live until the age of 78

RIP, she certainly had a positive influence on music back in a great period of music.

Sad news. Only saw her in concert once, but she was everything I hoped she would be. RIP

RIP. Faithfull’s avatar had to have been a cat...she lived nine lives. With Hal Wilner producing her, she released memorable albums.
