Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?

   Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact.
   My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.

Cheers....and let the tapping begin.......

I just listed my highly upgraded CPT 1800 for sale here on Audiogon if anyone is interested.

Walter, will you be offering your power conditioners here on the market site or via an independent URL/website?
Ozzy,

Why are you selling your modified CPT in the Audiogon classifieds section?  Is the  Audioquest Niagara 7000 that much better?
Just started to read this thread. The best power cords I have ever heard, hands down, are the Transparent Reference and Reference XL power cords. They are a bit spendy but they are freeking amazing. I have changed all the cords in my home system coming out of an Equi-Core 1800, one of the few units we actually received, and a PS Audio regenerator. I am a dealer for other products but not Transparent, so these sounded so incredible that I paid close to retail for them. Just wanted to share my experience with you. I actually first heard them about 8 months ago. I see people talking about Audioquest cables and stuff so I'm not trying to knock the CPT cables, as I have never heard them. The Equi-Core is a great product, Mark just continually made commitments and never followed through. My beef is that he owes me product, not that its a bad product. I do think the best power cable that I have ever heard with my ears, and I have heard a ton are the Transparent's though.

Guys,

Started the mods to get rid of the daisy chaining; home runs for each outlet. Will complete the mod when I receive the Deulunds 600V power cable.

Mark & Walter,

I was your Thai distributor, I have tried contacting you several times with no response. Should I post my numerous emails from you here promising me and my dealer the deepcores you repetitively committed to send or are you going to have Walter call me and do the right thing too?

Be well,

Seth
@ozzy

I'd probably try putting the 1800 first although I think they 5000 is pretty high current delivery. Maybe Paul's new top of the line Conditioner or the top of the line Audioquest might be a better choice than the 5000. Try them all in home first before buying and then open up your own thread. I'd love to hear your thoughts. 🍻
@ozzy

I'd be hesitant to put almost anything in the chain before or after my 1800. Even subtle changes in current delivery affect dynamics and soundstage on my BAT VK6200.
@ grannyring and t_ramey

Outstanding Info! I will complete this mod within the next few weeks with the parts listed in grannyring's posts and can't wait to hear the difference.

BTW, I added Audience XO Caps to my two outlets like grannyring did on his BPT and the results are noticeable; lower floor noise, deeper/wider sound stage, better separation and more transparency.

chazzzy007,

So if I was to use a conditioner (I’m thinking of the Audioquest Niagara 5000) it should be plugged into the CPT 1800?

ozzy
@ozzy

I have to think that using anything but some of the most expensive high current conditioners in front of any balanced power units would tend towards limiting current and subsequently macro and micro dynamics.

Is the Deep Core going to be the Conditioner to be paired with the CPT 1200 or 1800? I talked to someone in the industry and my understanding of what he said was that the CPT 1200 or 1800 balance the power coming out of the outlet but don't really condition it. Maybe someone more knowledgeable and technical on the matters can chime in?
mrpaul,

Thanks for that information. With balanced power I was wondering what effect it would have on a power conditioner.

ozzy
In addition to the CPT 1800 I use 4 LessLoss Firewall 64X current conditioners.  One before the CPT 1800 and one each before the server, DAC and amplifier.  I have been very pleased with these additions.
gdnrbob,

Thanks for the reply. The CPT 1800 is a balanced transformer that does condition the sound quality by its design. My question is, has anyone tried plugging any other type of power conditioner into the 1800 and then plugging your equipment into that conditioner. Sorta like using the CPT 1800 as a pre conditioner.

ozzy
@ozzy ,
I believe the CPT 1800 is a power conditioner.
The new Deep Core is supposed to be used before the CPT 1800.
B
More to my question above.
Does anyone use any type of power conditioner after the CPT?
Or, should the CPT be plugged into the power conditioner?

ozzy
CPT 1800 Question:

Has anyone used a Audioquest Niagara 5000 after the CPT 1800?
If so, did it improve sound quality further?

@stereo5 @jackd

The reason I've posted on this and lots of other threads is because I am part of this community and I care about it. I could have just as easily not said anything because I was lucky enough to not get duped into buying a Deep Core. Others weren't so lucky and I post mu thoughts on their behalf.

If one group of us is preyed upon, our community is diminished and we all suffer.

I truly hope that everyone is made whole,  and that Wally takes care of you all.
Wait, just to clarify, is Exogal no longer involved at all? Even after all the announcements etc?
The best way is to connect an O ring to each home run wire by a combo crimp/solder. Gather each live and stack them on a 1/4 thick bolt tighten the top nut and all the O-rings will be tightly pressed onto each other for a great connection. Use these insulated bolts and bolt each one down to the bottom of your unit. Use one for live, one for neutral and one for ground. Very safe, robust and professional. These connections are there for life!

You should use good quality O rings. These are decent. I used them and was able to terminate both top and bottom outlet home runs into one O ring since it takes up to 8 gauge.

You can also use good quality terminal block with O ring terminations on your home runs to do much the same thing. Problem is these terminal blocks have the screw down terminations pretty close together.

Those interested can look at my virtual system to see how I used a terminal block on my BPT Balanced transformer unit. Look at the last picture for a close up outside the chassis. Look at the 3rd to the last pic for the terminal block inside the chassis. My chassis is much tighter in space then your 1200 or 1800 units. I think the individual insulated bolts is the best and most professional option. The layout would be sweet!

I used an 8 port connector for each neutral, hot, and ground. The only way I can think of to avoid the connector is to strip off a long enough section of the jacket of each wire so that you can twist each group together and solder them, then make sure you wrap it good with some electrical tape to avoid contact.
t_ramsey,

In referenece to the "home run’, how did you connect the outlets to the transformer? I used 5 way Wago connectors, but I would like to eliminate those too!

Over the weekend I was able to replace the internal wiring for both of my 1800’s with Duelund 12g wire and did a homerun to each receptacle from the transformer. The first 1800 I did is used for my TV, apple tv, blu-ray player, and wifi router/modem. It had the original wiring from CPT with Furutech NCF receptacles. Noticed my tv picture quality was more colorful and detailed and much more natural looking, very pleased.

The second 1800 was purchased from Mike at Tweek Geek and it already had the internal wire changed to Furutech but was daisy chained. This one has my main two channel system hooked up to it with my integrated amp, dac, and mac mini and renderer. After changing it to the Duelund and with a homerun to each receptacle (also NCF’s) I noticed a much more balanced sound. I would say the tone was just a bit more relaxed but welcomed and appreciated. All in all I’m glad I decided to do this and it only cost me about $65 in wire from Parts Connexion. Looking forward to seeing how things go once the wire gets settled in but so far very happy.
The deal is officially done and I now own the assets of Core Power Technologies. EQ1800 parts are ordered for the first 100 units that will handle all old paid for units as well as new sales. These should ship in March.The redesign of Deep Core to be a full 1800 watt unit is done and we will build 6 units in late February for final testing and to get 4 out for beta. I will then order the parts to make the first 200. June looks to be definitely doable and I hope sooner on US units. Looking for either June of July on 220/240v Deep Cores. Mark has no ownership of the new company. For those who care to know Dan Wright made the decision to not buy the company for his own reasons. Dan is a quality guy who I have known for many years. Again, I say that anyone (chazzzy007) who wants to call me to discuss this is free to do so and I am more than happy to answer any questions one on one at 770-667-5633.
No but you commented about why he would buy from Mark as if that was the reason for his recent negative comments towards Walter.  I was pointing out that his vitriol has nothing to do with a purchase where he is owed money or product at all.  The only product he ever bought was a 1200 which he received long ago.  This is the only thread he visits on this forum at all. There's more to it.
Does that mean the only ones who can comment are the ones that bought from Mark?
@stereo5

Mark doesn't owe Chazzy anything either product or money so he has no skin in this at all.
@chazzzy007...……………………………

My post got deleted from this morning. I think the moderator is a little over protective regarding deep core. I don’t understand all you guys buying from Mark Schifter, especially since he has a known record of taking peoples money and not delivering product.

I think you forget that Dan by his own admission was also an "Industry Friend" who chose not to help Mark for business reasons.  He was not the only one who in the end decided to walk away.  Walter on the other hand chose, as the largest dealer of the products, decided to see if he could save a product he believed in and even though he has no obligation to do so seems willing to make some of Mark's broken promises right.  So why don't you quit spouting off about something that doesn't affect you and let Walter and the customers work it out.  What happens to Mark now doesn't affect that.
@jackd
Ulterior motive?
What was it that I posted that wasn’t true? Mark’s been stealing from people for over 10 years. He tried to take my money on a Deep Core as well but I said no.

So far there hasn’t been a Deep Core beta test that could even power an entire system let alone make anything sound better. 2 systems were fried beta testing so far and a poster on these forums had to explain to Mark and his Team the reason for it.  Lolz

Art several steps along the way Mark’s industry friends have come on to ’vouch’ for him, allowing this whole sad melodrama to continue.

This is crazy. 2 other whole threads about complaints and failures have been deleted. What other industry allows criminals to continually prey upon unsuspecting customers, and that for over a Decade?!?!

Thus whole episode has been unbelievable.
@chazzzy007

And even though you have no skin in this game at all you keep posting in this thread and people keep ignoring you.  In fact you haven't made but one post on this entire forum since August that wasn't in this thread.  So why don't you tell everyone what your ulterior motive is.
So you all are now getting promises of a July delivery for a product that still hasn't passed Beta testing...

And Mark still has all your monies, the ownership of CPT and the new owner of the Core-power and vapor-ware Deep Core product lines has no legal obligation to deliver to any of you anything.

All this after Mark backed out of an agreed to deal to sell CPT to Dan Wright who is one of the most respected and customer service focused Manufacturers in the Industry.

I wasn't on the list, but Mark confirmed it for Wally.
Now I am on the list.
Thanks Wally and Mark
Bob
I misspoke, Deepcore delivery will be June-July timeframe, as Walter stated in his previous post on 1/16/19.
I'm happy to report back that I've been contacted by Mark and Walter regarding the Deep Core and a release date. Hopefully, the other individuals that are owed a refund or a product will soon receive word regarding it and have some positive information to share :-)
+1, underwoodwally. Seem like a straight shooter. Something this thread desperately needed from a product supplier.
I posted my phone number and am also emailing the 17 customers who are owed products to. I have spoken to 6 or 7 already. I am always available and will be working with all these customers to get them products as we get the 1800 and then Deep Core back in production. After 20 years of running this business I will let my reputation speak for itself. I do not do much posting as getting into pissing matches with people who don't know what is really happening is counter productive. Enough said. Call me if you have something you want to talk about and I will deal with anyone individually.
Just spoke with Walter Leidermann, he'll be sending me a Deepcore hopefully in March, I look forward to receiving it and I'm happy Mark and Walter are working to right the wrong.  I do feel bad for Mark despite everything.  I'm hoping everyone is made whole as well.  Walter did mention there really were not that many affected deepcore early adopters that are owed product, so if you are owed something else from Mark and have not heard from Walter already, call or email him please.  Good luck all, hopefully in a few months we can just talk about the Deepcore and how it affects our sound.
