Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact.
My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.

Hi All, I must report that another Deep Core failed today. I'm only guessing - but it may be due to shipping damage as well - I will investigate when it comes back. Had a very nice call with ozzy and this was his unit. ozzy did point out several things I need to do to improve everything - two of which we knew about already and have been handled for further Beta and Final Production. Big thanks to ozzy for his comments. Our packing was inadequate - Also we have improved our output wiring which is via a connector that allows for heavy gauge wire. Apologies here for sure - we will learn and get better... this is what Alpha is for. Best to all, Mark |

Would a Deep Core companioned with a 1200 or 1800 start at the wall duplex then plug its AC output into a 1200 or 1800?' Does a Deep Core and 1800 combo require separate power feed outlets. Does the Deep Core sit on top of a 1200 or 1800? Would someone detail how Deep Core is physically configured. Is there any reason to wait to purchase a 1200 or 1800 if the Deep Core may be intergrated into 1200 or 1800 chassis to consolidate chassises? Any help on this would be appreciated. |
The EQUI=CORE 300 is shown on the website sitting upright. If I understand correctly, Deep Core is some dimensions as the EQUI=CORE 300. Can the Deep Core sit up right on a shelf right next to an 1800? Should it be pulled away from an 1800 to reduce bleed over noise? Does Deep Core come with a supplied with a cord to power a 1800? So many questions..... |
yoby, I was just asking myself the same question, can Deep Core be used with another conditioner? I don't have the answer, but when Mark has a free moment he will set us straight. 5560 I read the website and can't determine if a PC is included with the DC, when Mark gets a chance I'm sure he'll answer all your questions. |
Each power cord has its own dedicated isolation,transformer- conditioning. Myself going a different route they have excellent new power cords with no transformers just a very good awg 12 high purity Copper ,shielded, and solid Copper connectors for $125, I just ordered a 1800 transformer conditioner 15Amp my whole system plugs in ,even my ML electrostatic. These are one product that works buy a 300 for a oled tv the Tv then looks calibrated everything color saturation and picture image. Audio is like adding a missing aspect or dimension. Once in your system It will not leave !! |
Those are all really good questions, I wish I could answer a few of them however when I returned the beta Deep Core unit because it arrived damaged (UPS), I never had an opportunity to audition it. I'm still waiting for another unit to beta test. I do know that the Deep Core can be used with the 1200, 1800, or directly connected to one or two of your components. As was mentioned Mark will have all the correct answers. |
Good Morning... I took some time away this weekend and woke up charged and ready for the week. I did have my phone on to answer text messages but my Kids and G Kids wanted to rev me up for my B-Day that's coming up :) @5560 Deep Core is best used BEFORE the Balanced Power Units. Hi All... I know I have some more answers to crank out here... (Thanks Kemp) Firstly - DEEP CORE is designed to work with other Power Conditioners. Lots of testing there already with amazing results... Deep Core comes with TWO standard (ready very generic) Power Cords. One can add the Super Stroke for $99 each :) (Highly Recommended) EQUI=CORE 1200 comes with a Standard Cord free of charge - but Super Stroke is a great add at $99 dollars... There is no current product that combines DC and E=C You can position any of these on their side(s) or on top... All good... Best wishes, Mark |
Thanks for clearing up those questions Mark. I think the info on the Deep Core being compatible with other power conditioners is a game changer. I'm sorry CPT had some initial shipping woes on the first round of Deep Core samples, once you have more out in the field it will be interesting to hear about reactions to the DC with E=Q Balanced and other power conditioners. |
Hi All, Having a bit of a quiet day here as today is my birthday and I am spending it with family here locally. DEEP CORE has left for Doug for final check out before leaving for several of you Alpha and now Beta Testers. Thanks for your patience. Doug's day job is very important (as well as demanding) and there are times where I need to be patient and understanding with his schedule issues. Thanks all for your patience. When we started CPT we had very modest goals. We are more than 300% over what we predicted - we have all of you to thank for this. I reviewed a ton of information this morning about that fact. I am humbled and very grateful. We have delivered all current back orders of 1200's and 1800's in 120v and the 220v units should finally be shipped shortly and we can clean that backlog out. There are some that will never be pleased and we appreciate your angst and eagerness. While I have no reason to doubt the contention that, as stated previously, placing the Deep Core in front of the Equi=Core unit produces better results than between an Equi Core unit and an individual audio/video component(s), I wonder if that mitigates the rather prominent and unique capability that allows the DC user to "optimize the power delivery" for an individual component. My inference is that each component may (does?) require individual optimization to achieve best results. Presumably, placing the DC in front of an E=C unit will unavoidably necessitate some compromise of individual component power delivery optimization in favor of system optimization. I imagine that a no-holds-barred, gilded lily system would include a DC just ahead of every individual component, not likely in this household. Any thoughts? |
Mark is at the LA show and busy. Your comment about where the DC goes is a good one, and initially the CPT crew postulated the DC should go right before the component, and recommended that. However, in actual listening sessions the best location turned out to be in front of the E=Q? Mark will have more to say next week, and there have to be more DCs in the field with user reactions to draw more conclusions. I'm anxiously waiting on a DC to pair with my E=Q 1800 so I can chime in with my reactions. |
Last week I added the 1200 to the system. It replaced my giant-killer Exactpower EP15A which gave me many years of fantastic sound. I'm just going to get right to it and say this 1200 performs better than my EP, and I NEVER thought I would say that. Also, I sent my EP back to Steve for a rebuild a few years ago. After hearing it, I thought it couldn't get any better....until I heard the 1200. This thing has such a low noise floor and is so damn quite, I'm hearing DEEP into recordings.....my "reference" stuff. Stuff I've heard a thousand times and know like the back of my hand. My speakers are 97db and I have a single ended triode driving them and I hear nothing from the drivers as I place my ear right up to them. It's astonishing, really. I've sat here shaking my head at just how holographic and for lack of a better word, "believable" the system sounds. Feels like the system has more punch and better control of dynamic swings. During complex orchestral passages, I can hear every musician on the stage more clearly. There is more separation of instruments which I think has a lot to do with it being so quiet with no "noise" in the power. If you are undecided or are on the fence about trying this or the 1800 out, take my word for it.....this thing is the real deal. I've been into this madness for 21 years and the CPT 1200 is indispensable. I can't imagine my system without it. |
