Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?

Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact.
My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.

Cheers....and let the tapping begin.......

Congrats, Mark, on the latest review, and the success of Emerald Physics (you too, Walter!) and Core Power Tech! 🎧😎🎸
Mark,

You're welcome. Sounds good on the EP speakers/DSP and Deep Core!

Nice decision on the LG OLED TV! If you want to boost the picture quality even further, try a DarbeeVision DVP-5000S, especially with Quantum QRT products.
Mark,

The DarbeeVision DVP-5000S is an HDMI video processor that enhances sharpness, texture, contrast, and depth.

You can find more information about the technology in their whitepaper, linked under "DVP Whitepaper with Tech Details" here:
http://www.darbeevision.com/visual-presence/

Or the direct link:

Or if you just want to see pics and videos of the processing, you can look here:
http://www.darbeevision.com/images/

Quantum QRT was an independent company and technology, that was bought out by Nordost. Of course, Nordost redesigned the products in "fancy" aluminum chassis, and charged multiples more. The QRT will improve dimensionality and color saturation for video.

You can find the current Nordost QRT products here:

Mark,

You're welcome.

I'll just request what others will want, pics of the new front panels! 😁
ozzy,

Were you using the DarbeeVision DVP-5000S? I've heard the older models introduced artifacts.

Also, what percentage and mode were you using?

All of that aside, if using a 4K TV, you're still at the mercy of the video processing and upsampling of your TV. This means every display will handle things differently. Plus, Darbee should be introducing their 4K processors this coming year.

As to the Redmere active HDMI cables, many people have had problems using them with true 4K sources. They do not seem to have the signal transmission capability of thicker gauge analog cables, despite their claims.

While the Redmere cables do lower the noise-floor, it is achieved through processing, equalization, and altering the source. To get an idea of what you are doing to your video and audio signals, look here:

https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/US7936197B2/US07936197-20110503-D00001.png

"FIGS. 1A-1C illustrate the effect of the limited bandwidth of a cable on the transmitted signals. FIG. 1A illustrates a high-speed signal to be transmitted through a high-speed cable, FIG. 1B shows a distorted bandwidth-limited signal received at the receiver end of the cable (before equalization), and FIG. 1C shows the received signal at the receiver end after equalization. As seen from FIG. 1B, the signal edges are slowed and short pulses are narrowed, not reaching the full transmitted amplitude."

Personally, I prefer thicker gauge HDMI cables with silver.
ozzy,

You’re welcome. If you had the first version of the Darbee, it wasn’t the 5000S.

As to the Redmere Active cables, I own and have tried one, as well as Monoprice’s own 18Gbps Active cable. I stand by what I stated, but understand the appeal of these cables....especially for those that don’t want huge, unruly cables.

Mark,

Same sadono! 😁

I’ll look forward to the pics. I hope you feel better! Sudafed is a miracle worker, if it’s just a cold.
Mark,

Very cool to reconnect here! 😎

I’m very happy that you started Core Power Tech, as the industry is only better with nice guys like you and Walter providing great products at phenomenal prices.

I’ll look forward to the story about The Power Plant and PS Audio!

Merry Xmas and happy holidays! 🎅🎄🍻
lak,

Herbie’s Audio Labs make some great products!

For those interested in trying out vibration control on the cheap, I recommend getting the grungebuster 1.6mm standard sheet, and cutting it into 1" x 1" squares. This will give you 40 squares! This is enough to treat 10 components, if you use 4 squares per component. Below is a link to the product:

bsavage,

Nice review! Congrats on the purchase!

keeponrockin,

Do the Isocleans or the Bybee conditioner have any surge protection?

If not, then I would advise investing in a parallel filter conditioner with surge protection, or replacing what you have above with the 1800. It’s generally best not to daisy chain units for the best transient response, PRAT, and dynamics, unless specifically designed to.

Happy holidays, everyone! 🎊🥂
Mark,

Congrats on the award and review! PM going out to you. :)

For mods, I have my own ideas we can discuss.

aniwolfe,

In regards to footers and vibration control, I personally recommend some combination of wood and elastomers. Woods have all kinds of different sounds, so experimenting is best. I'm also going to be experimenting with some composites of carbon fiber. Metal seems to increase the resonant frequency, resulting in peaked highs. Of course, everyone's hearing, listening, and system goals are different, which is why free trials are always a positive.

Bacardi,

If you're really anti-modding, I would recommend trying a contact enhancer, like the one from Walker Audio. This will give you a similar benefit, at a much reduced cost. Just make sure to follow the directions, as you're dealing with electricity.

ozzy:
You say you are sending out the CPT 1800/1200 feet at 10 packs a day. I must have been one of the first few users of the CPT 1800 or 1200 units, so I don’t understand why it is taking so long to get the feet. Has anyone received them? Right now I’m using vibrapods under it.
ozzy,

Mark replied to you with this, all the way back on March 28.

"I will also say again here - my wife and I have been very busy so we send 10 to 12 packages daily with ISO-PUCKS and the other goodies. We have been doing them reversed alpha - so z was first. Everyone will get these for sure. Everyone..."

I know it's tough having to wait, but remember the proverb, "patience is a virtue." If that one doesn't work, I'll relate this to music with, "Hakuna Matata" or "Don't Worry, Be Happy." 😃 It'll save you some stress, and provide you a hopefully longer and happier life.

Mark,

Congrats on the 1200/1800 review, and I hope you have a great Axpona!

I'm looking forward to DEEP CORE! 😎

And can someone please PM me a link to pics of the Deep Core renders? That way Mark can take care of his many other responsibilities. Thanks! 😀
Mark,

I'm glad you're taking your doc's orders, and putting your health first! He's probably put you on blood pressure meds, and advised lower salt intake. Make sure you're drinking enough water. Some very light weight/high rep weight training, could be helpful, as your health allows. No need to look like John! 😁

I'm still patiently looking forward to DEEP CORE. 😀 (Thanks for the pics, Tom!) But make sure to focus on your health, and spending time with the grandkids! 😃👍
As a break from the Bad News Brown...

Congrats, Mark and Walter, on another AVShowrooms Gold Show Award, this time one of AXPONA Best Sound! 😎🍻

You can hear their excellent Emerald Physics, Exogal, CPT 1800 system, here:

Thanks, for the update, Mark!

Happy Birthday and Memorial Day! 🎂😃🍻 Hopefully you're able to have a partial cheat day, and are able to have a nice meal with the family. Enjoy your day! 🎉🎸
Lets all keep our fingers crossed!

Patience will be rewarded with Mark. I know we're all waiting (im)patiently for Deep Core, and to have the first user feedback/reviews, or to hear for ourselves. But it sounds like that patience will soon be rewarded. So hang on to your pants, before they get blown off! 😁
Mark,

You're welcome!

😂 I agree with him, but know you released the conditioners in the right order.

That's a great deal on the Super Stroke for DC owners! Hopefully you don't mind me posting it in the other thread, because I am going to. 🙂
Hugh,

It looks like he either deleted it or a moderator did. I didn't see anything wrong with it. I hope CAS went well!

That case of the guy that bought the Lyngdorf was an odd one. It sounds like the guy was impatient with the dealer he had previously ordered from. But why would you buy a new product from an unauthorized dealer?

It looks like pajjohnson has had some minor sales, so hopefully someone received a refund.
@hifipassion

I heard one of the Keces at a show, and it sounded similar to any balanced power conditioner. I haven’t heard it compared to a CPT.

One YouTube user has multiple videos with Keces gear. Here are some with the BP1200:

https://youtu.be/hMROF6M8_Z0

https://youtu.be/J3wtXVFxkcE

My only concern would be the low weight, relative to their power ratings, but the prices are lower than Torus and Equi=Tech.

@tuffy72561

I hope more than just the "costumers" are taken care of. 😜 Another week of radio silence is not a good sign.
