Esoteric Support - nonexistent???
Hello! Uncertain if anyone monitors this thread from umpteen years ago but going to give it a shot, This is a 2025 follow-up to the above thread. Before I go down the Esoteric service rabbit hole; is TEAC still the way to go for legacy Esoteric parts & service??? Have a UX-3Pi in need of drawer adjustment (servicing) and I'm also missing all the required small top-deck retaining screws. When I removed top to determine if the tray extension mechanism had an obvious issue (it did not - seems to be just an adjustment issue), I put the screws aside in a "safe" place (where I would remember them when it came time to re-secure the top) wanted to keep easy access available in case Esoteric service requested pics, etc. (That was BEFORE I read disappointing support thread!) Of course, I now have NO idea of where I put the plastic bag containing them. As soon as I receive a replacement set, the originals will show-up; its karma. Thanks for any assistance; much appreciated! |
hk_fan ... I still haven't gotten a reply after several emails dating back to Dec 2016 I've given up ...Why not get your dealer involved with the issue? |
I have reached out to Teac USA to see if they can help me. With all that said, I still would absolutely buy another Esoteric product. Yes, the service is not the greatest, but in my experience their products don't require much of it, and the performance is world class to my ears. Thanks for all the feedback. |
As aberyclark noted, at their price point, to have to make a consumer jump through so many hoops for service is absurd. This thread isn't the first about Esoteric and customer support. I was considering buying an Esoteric piece but after reading the previous threads bought a Bryston unit instead. If I am parting with thousands of dollars for a new component I would rather deal with a company with a good reputation. |
