The HOF waited for ALL of The MC5 to die before giving them their due. As Roger Waters said, “they can all F off at the bar”. Shame on them, politics is alive and well at the RR HOF.

I’ve never paid much attention to the R&R H.O.F.
I realize some people get very heated about who gets in or not and the timing, but strictly speaking for myself, whether a band I enjoy is in or out means little. If their music speaks to me, that’s what counts. My enjoyment is not in the least affected by their HOF status.

Once they inducted Dolly Parton into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame it became very apparent that it’s a meaningless honor not based on true rock music accomplishments. She’s a fine person & really good in her genre but rock it ain’t. Additionally, if an amazingly talented musician who put out many great rock albums as well as more folky & unique ones ( including in the past month!!) isn’t in there, then the institution can’t be taken seriously. Aqualung, Thick as a Brick, Benefit, Stand Up, War Child and so on…..

Complete bullshit, all about record sales. Mariah Carey, but no Smiths, Squeeze, Graham Parker... I could go on and on.

After the last Hall of Fame induction ceremony, I learned that Jethro Tull is not among the groups enshrined there. The credibility of that institution, for me, is gone. Let’s hope that’s remedied in the not too distant future.

Not sure what exactly the criteria are for induction, but some of the inductees leave me scratching my head, as do some of the musicians that are ignored.
Which is why I couldn't care less.

Rock and Roll is a bygone era. If they keep inducting, there won’t be many who had any impact whatsoever left out. A lot of indictees are NOT rock and roll, not even just rock, but other popular genres. A good example of words mean nothing. It’s a trend! But who really cares who gets in that thing? I really do not. Induct Wodewick (Monty Python wefewence: hint, hint..)! Would be a fun visit in any case I suppose if in Cleveland.

Football, Rock HOF, UFC, sports of all kinds just does not interest me anymore. They are full of corruption and politics and ridiculous to the core.
I would still attend a pee wee football game... that's usually fun.

HOFs are all about politics in my opinion. The best thing about this one are the performances at the induction ceremony. Of course who plays is often based on band politics. For me music is an escape from politics.
