Audio influencers on YouTube hiding comments from public view
It's left up to me to decide what reviews are valid or just entertainment. Comments have always been monitored. Nothing new. The best quote I've heard that sums up the current hypocrisy... "I don't believe in censorship but I really don't want to...
Chair
@lanx0003  Not sure if you're aware but the back headrest of the Puang simply flips to the rear moving seat position more upright and lowers the cushion height behind the head. Makes a huge difference.
Chair
@audphile1  I got the Puang with matching ottoman. Dark grey fabric.  ( I hate leather) Had to tweak it a little. For me, it was a bit too firm and laid back too much. Needed to be more upright. First was double the thickness of the seat cusion. ...
NBR or Natural Beat Records
I love these NBR vids. Excellent but they hide the artists. Make sure you go to 'settings' and click on highest resolution.
So, “Audio Science Review” really doesn’t like this video
I played around with this a bit. The vibration, generated from the speaker, is measurable with an Iphone app. The Vibration can travel down the stands and transmit to the floor. In the video he had very well damped stands with lots of mass so tha...
Real musicians don't need "awards."
@buellrider97  NASCAR lost me when they forced restrictor plates in an effort to make everyone equal.
Are you operating in the correct SPL window for high-fidelity listening?
Style  of music matters. An acustic guitar or violin around 70/75. A female Jazz singer or trio,,,75 to 80 db. Some rock or EDM 85 to 90.
Are you operating in the correct SPL window for high-fidelity listening?
@lewm   However, I still don't know what "incorrect attenuation" is or means. For example...If you have a pre-amp with lots of gain you have to keep the volume knob low or it's too loud. You are 'attenuating' the signal down just like stepping ...
Are you operating in the correct SPL window for high-fidelity listening?
@markalarsen  It's not only how loud it is that's important but rather how you got it to that DB level. Kind of goes along with the topic. Quality over quantity might be something to consider as an audiophile.
Are you operating in the correct SPL window for high-fidelity listening?
@roadcykler  "meaningless" ???  You seem to be unaware of the negative consequences of incorrect attenuation. The main function of a pre-amp is to attenuate the signal being sent to the amp DOWN to reasonable listening levels. Applying the brakes...
Best way to dampen a micro-vibrating Printed Circuit Board inside an amp? Thanks!
Goop. A clear glue that remains very flexible.Don't need too much. Only need a few connecting dots.
Help Needed - Popping sound when powering on a new setup!
Do you power on all at once? What is your 'turn on' sequence? Start at the streamer and turn each component on with the amp being the last to come on. Reverse the process for shut down.
Are you operating in the correct SPL window for high-fidelity listening?
Not just how loud it is but the position of the volume knob in order to achieve the level of loudness is very important. It's called attenuation. Another way of looking at this... when you turn down the volume knob you are appling the brakes to R...
Which speakers are ideal to pair with a Yamaha as3200
Do you have a subwoofer?
Which speakers are ideal to pair with a Yamaha as3200
Whatever you choose I would get the left speaker out of the corner and set up an equilateral triangle off the center of the TV. The speakers are out of balance the way they are set up.
