@ercubano801, yes, I can.

Which speakers are ideal to pair with a Yamaha as3200
Good morning everyone! I kindly ask you for advice on which speakers could be ideal to pair with my new Yamaha s3200 amplifier
I currently have some Kef LS50 meta but I would like to make a qualitative leap.
I have to buy Bookshelf with a maximum depth of 36 cm and a maximum width of 25
I'll also post a photo of the room. The important thing would be a large stage and a detailed sound... I won't listen to them at very high volume and I also have a Kef KC62 sub available that I can match in case.
Budget: Up to 6000 euros
My current ideas: ATC SCM20psl, ProAC D2R, Platinum 100 audio monitor
Thank you so much

Yeah then you plug the Phono stage into the balanced input of the Flex Balanced and you're good on that front too @ercubano801 So the DMP-A6 into the Flex balanced by USB cable as stated in my comment before yours and then from the goldnote, you use XLR/TRS cables to link the phono stage to the Flex Balanced and then you output from the flex Balanced with TRS/XLR cables into the AS3200 |
@kofibaffour i have the phono goldnote ph-10 all balanced |
Wait if you have the Eversolo which has streaming protocols, then yes, it becomes redundant to get the SHD which has streaming protocols. Do not get the SHD, get the MiniDSP Flex rather - https://www.soundimports.eu/en/minidsp-2x4-flex-trs.html?srsltid=AfmBOoqHP115osD3NFT2mqKbzW1dYGQBTQZGGCYbf4AIG2ufp8iBAxBr
So you output from your Eversolo to the MiniDSP via USB. Get this USB cable for that connection - https://www.amazon.de/Printer-Scanner-printers-Lexmark-Samsung/dp/B00P0FO1P0 Again I ask what will your phono stage be? @ercubano801 |
@kofibaffour I have the eversolo amp-6 ME gen2…in this way I use the minidsp as a preampli? I connect at the output the yamaha and the sub (no more connect to the yamaha) right? |
@ercubano801 connect the streamer to the Mini DSP via a digital interconnect. USB/Coaxial will be the ideal connection. And connect the turntable's phono stage to it via the XLR input provided the phono stage has XLR outputs. What phono stage so you have? Also yeah since you have a streamer then the Flex Balances would do.
I assumed you didn't have a streaming tool that is why I went for the mini DSP SHD which has streaming tools inbuilt |
Thanks @kofibaffour , I'm taking a look at your links To do what you tell me can I also use the minidsp flex? Way the south? Is it better? Another question...I have my turntable and the streamer both connected with XLR cables...how can I insert the minidsp into the system while keeping the connections balanced? I saw that on the site the flex has individual balanced outputs, should I also take the cables that they make you buy separately? |

I'm begging you, @ercubano801, read on speaker setup. Also, you're not high passing or low passing with the AS3200 as it doesn't have that and just playing both the sub and speakers full range... that is gonna work fine but isn't ideal, so you need a dedicated management system. and better speaker placement and angling. Place each speaker so that the tweeter axis is pointed at each shoulder |
The IsoAcoustics are good but it’s about 3 things..Getting the speakers elevated to where the tweeters are more aligned with the ears..Getting the speakers pulled out from the back wall enough to allow the soundstage to develop & getting the one speaker off that subwoofer..Even the IsoAcoustic isn’t going to alleviate the damage done to the sound of the speakers by the deep bass being transfered to the speakers driver & cabinet... |
Honestly, you may consider pulling your LS50's in and certainly away from the chair. If you want to get the most out of what you have, setup a unilateral triangle. This will at least get you started with getting the best out of the LS50's and giving you a better idea of what you're looking for in an upgrade. |

The television is not connected to the speakers, so I don’t think it’s a problem that it’s not in the center... for the rest the idea of asking for an opinion is precisely because unfortunately I don’t have a listening room and I have to make do with what I have When I listen I can move the speakers forward a bit but I can’t do anything else... The sub is present and is connected to the yamaha pre-out! |
Your setup needs a redo in terms of separating distances. Also your amp has no subowoofer output @ercubano801 |
My comment violated no policy. But, did i mention a brand that was different from what you sales boys/booster bros were planning to push on this thread? What brand are you lousy booster bros working on?
|
@ercubano801 how are you doing bass management with your KC62 since the S3200 doesn't have a subwoofer out? |
@gdaddy1 +1 I would look at the best for your budget https://speakerchoices.com/ Don’t get anything rear ported that close to the wall. |
Get a pair of Yamaha NS-800A standmount speakers, around 5000/pair https://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio_visual/speaker_systems/ns-800a/index.html |
It would be important to think about and evaluate speakers by their intrinsic sound quality. This is why speakers are typically the starting point... then you evaluate the electronics you need to support them. Even if you do can’t change electronics for years... I’d recommend evaluating speakers by sound. I prefer musical / natural sounding speakers... so I would recommend Sonus Faber. For a more detailed oriented, but still musical I would look at DynAudio. If you are able to move the speakers forward a bit and put them on solid stands, and cover the TV with a very heavy absorbent material they will sound much better. I can understand your dilemma.
