We all have our favorite artists and often have large collections of music by them. Name some who when a new cd or vinyl comes out you will buy without hesitation, audition or others' opinions.
Pink Floyd, Mars volta, david bowie and frank zappa.
Though most cds I dont buy unless I see it for 8 or 9 bucks. my pink floyd collection spans about 40 lps, mars volta about 20, david bowie about 20, and zappa about 35.
I also have a lot of beatles, but I only buy certian beatles lps. I just want a complete red japanese set(I have 3/12 now and one of the original 60s red wax jpn)

Not many. I used to do it frequently when at record stores by just reading the back of the lp for vital info, like names of the performers, and the instruments they played. If I didn't know anyone, the instruments used sometimes made the sale. Some were duds, others were fun. Can't do that any longer...as tears come to my eyes...yearning...good old days... Now there are plenty of sites to explore online, but I need the physical disc in my hands to get me started. I don't just explore to see what comes up. Tried that and it got too involving. I like to just come across a disc and go from there.
