Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

6 days back from Axpona had enough Billie Eilish to last 2x lifetimes. All these recordings had above average SQ and content superior to Billie Eilish.

Not today, but from last night's listening session:

Craig Taborn - Daylight Ghosts (2016, CD) / Fantastic jazz quartet on ECM label, with the phenomenal Taborn on piano. Excellent mix of high energy and introspective jazz, in that typical ECM esthetic. Great recording quality.

Ernst Krenek - Static and Ecstatic (1972, vinyl) / Serialism with sensuality. Played by the LA Phil chamber orchestra. This recording has a seriously large, well defined soundstage, and image specificity within that soundstage.

Anekdoten - Until All Ghosts are Gone (2015, CD) / Extremely good progressive release by this Swedish band, Dark, moody, great musicianship.

Big storm and the power’s out, so I’m not able to listen to anything.  ☹️☹️☹️

Yakuza - beyul

praying mantis - katharsis

iron angel - emerald eyes

hobbs angel of death - inheritance

Helstar - glory of chaos

S.A.D.O. - shout!

reaper - the years within

grinder - dawn for the living

after all - Eos

@toro3

I just heard about them and have listened to two of their albums. Well recorded and I’ll listen to them again. 😁

@curiousjim Cigarettes After Sex is so incredibly underrated, but has a loyal following. I listen to at least one of their songs on a weekly basis. If I owned a cafe it’d be my go-to cafe music after 6:00 PM.

Floating through the F’s on my pop LP shelves. Enjoying it, too.

Fleetwood Mac, Rumours. Yeah, the mammoth hit that repelled the band’s core fans while seducing the rest of the planet. It still sounds pretty good. Sexy. Inviting. Some good artificially induced 3D.

Roderick Falconer, New Nation. I’m probably the last person on earth that still has a copy. Or am I the only person who bought a copy? Stately 70’s rock. A multi-miked, carefully produced production with SQ on a par with Rumours.

Both on mega-tonnage, pancake flat pressings.

Tool, Fear Innoculum

CS&N, Crosby, Stills and Nash

CSN&Y, Deja Vu

David Crosby, Croz.

@curiousjim

My pleasure. It's nice to find new music for old folk like us. 😄

All the best,

@nonoise

Listening to Samia now. I might be old, but I still like hearing new music.

Thanks for the tip.
