Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Santana - Zebop.  The 30th anniversary edition CD.  I know it’s compressed compared to other versions but it sounds the best to me.  A good match for my old guy ears.

Donna Lewis-Blue Planet(CD 1998)

Esthero-Wikked Lil’ Grrrls(CD 2005)

An eclectic start to Sunday night vinyl.

The Verve-Urban Hymns(CD 1997) A 90's favorite of my wife gets Friday night vinyl of to a great start.

Another much overlooked prog rock masterpiece.  Check out that dynamic range in the chart!

Totally awesome compact remastered  live performance of a prog rock classic just out

Sure- start with the 1st album/cd by Testament. Then work forward. Let me know your impressions and thoughts on this legendary Thrash Metal band.

Happy Listening!

@jafant

I Googled Testament and I see they have about a hundred albums ;^)  They must be good if your posting them.  Can you point to a good album as a jumping off point to get into their music?

sara k. - HELL OR HIGH water

London Grammar - Truth Is A Beautiful Thing

Gretchen Parlato - Flor

The sara k. album is one of the best produced and recorded albums I have ever heard (listening to 24/44.1 file).

Art Blakey-The Concord Jazz Heritage Series(CCD-4839-2) Jumpstarts an overdue Thursday night vinyl session!

Thank you for the kind words and thanks to everyone that has contributed over the years.

BTW @nutty congrats on one of the longest ongoing threads in these parts, now in its 10th year!

That’s nothing compared to when Morton Downey Jr. teamed up with Lemmy.
