Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

I've been playing the Bee Gees greatest hits and a few others. I know, I know, but I was really surprised as to how many really great songs they did!

Saraya-ST(CD)

Kingdom Come- In Your Face(CD)

Both great hard rock(not metal) recordings from 1989, quite possibly the strongest year for popular music during the 1980's! The perfect segue to Friday night 1980's vinyl.

Now Playing:

Dominic Sanderson- Impermanence

(This is a great recording- check it out!)

John "Cougar" Mellencamp. He sure did a lot of catchy tunes. However, I heard him interviewed recently and he seems a little whacky.

liked All but one song and I bet you can guess which one.😁

I’ve been messing around with my speaker placement today and Impermanence helped a bunch.  Great recording!

@ozzy

If you’ve heard any of his current stuff, His five pack a day habit has destroyed his voice making him very hard to listen to.🙁

curiousjim,

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have listened to his latest release.

⬆ Hop on your streamer and check out the recording shown above- I think you’ll like it!

Palomar Parade - Sons of the East

Some lovely tunes in there. Bit of folk rock. Just melodic sound and well recorded.

@designsfx

Thanks for the recommendation of: Steven Wilson- The Raven That Refused To Sing…  more melodious version of King Crimson. Excellent album.

@ghdprentice

Good to hear! If you wish to explore more of his work (he’s involved in quite many projects) check out titles from “Porcupine Tree”. Experimental and progressive but very well done.

@designsfx

Listening to Perma Grin now and you’re right,  I do like it.  Although they are all over the place! Country/Hard Rock/ Punk all in the same some. There’s even ode’s to Zappa and the Ramones  In the first four songs.
