Hey Bkeske,
I have that Eno/Byrne album. Pretty sure it's a 1st pressing. Bought it right after it's release. Great album. They also did one about 10 years ago that is good.

Hey Bkeske,

Yes indeed. I forget about that album. Mine was bought new, and still in dang near mint condition. Sounded great. I should look for the other one they did together.
Was listening to Cowboy Junkies Caution Horses and The Trinity Sessions on cassette. Sounded good, but it made me hunt down original release vinyl. Snagged both for decent prices. Fingers crossed they are in the condition advertised.
As good as my cassette copies sound, I will be thrilled to hear them both on vinyl.
The Cars - Panorama.  This is the only Cars album in my collection that I only have one copy of.  It's been a while since I played it.  Other than a couple of pops, it's sounding really good.
@big_greg4,

I have remastered Panorama CD ripped to server that I stream.   It's a most enjoyable recording,  very clean and crisp!   Just like I remember the first Cars album sounding on vinyl back in college when it first came out.
Good stuff Mapman!  I have fond memories of riding in one of my best friend's car listening to the Cars in high school.
Arrived this week, so far:

My Morning Jacket "At Dawn" 20th anniversary/includes solo acoustic set from J James/3 lp/transparent orange vinyl

( thanks @boxer12, I'm sure I will enjoy this)
Don't know if any of you were aware that Lucinda Williams had a stroke last November and while she didn't incur any brain damage, she's had to relearn things including playing the guitar again. Supposedly out on tour with Jason Isbell this summer?....
Various ‎– Fast Folk Musical Magazine An Evening In Greenwich Village (Fast Folk Musical 1988)

Wonderful collection of lesser-known artists. Sounds great.
Coming up, the first of two I received in the mail today…..

Richard Thompson - 13 Rivers. New West Records 2LP  2018

….I cannot believe how quickly these albums arrive from, of all folks, Target. Lightening fast, and well packaged.
Steve, I didn't know that about Lucinda.  I saw her at an outdoor show at the zoon in Seattle about 2 years ago.  She put on a really good show and had a lot of interesting stories to tell.  I'm glad she's OK.
Chad & Jeremy ‎– I Don’t Want To Lose You Baby (Columbia 1965)

A gentler Beatles. Nice recording notwithstanding a spacious stereo enhancement.
Sumpens Swingsters ‎– Hemma Hos Sumpen (G.H.B. 1980) ‎

Swedish dudes playing La Nouvelle-Orléans and Ragtime jazz with a sense of humor. Recorded live in the lead trumpeter's home on a tube mixer with a single stereo AKG mike to tape. Recommended.
Various ‎– Fast Folk Musical Magazine Vol.1/No.9  (Fast Folk Musical Magazine 1984)
Second arrival today, and a empathetic recommendation by @slaw

Did I ever tell the story of how I made Norah Jones cry?
Roy Harper ‎– Once (Awareness 1990)

A friend passed. You only get one shot.
Simple, pointed lyric.

Eyes for the laughter
Thirst for the tongue
Hands for together
Ears for the song
The song of love
We sing in silence
Every moment long
Once
Here to be done to as we do
With only one chance
Here for the wonder of under the stars
For the one and only
Once
Joy for the children
Hope for the chance
Men for the women
Now for the dance
The dance of love
We dance just once
In unique circumstance
Once
Here to be done to as we do
With only one chance
Here for the wonder of under the stars
For the one and only once

Okay, stay with me on this one. It had to have been 82 or 83. My great aunt and great uncle were the founders of Angel Records, and the chairman of the metropolitan Opera of New York, respectively. My grandmother and grandfather were fashion designers. My mom was the black sheep of the family but occasionally we got invited to social get-togethers and parties at my grandmother's apartment on the east side. There were always musical personalities and celebrities there, although I was too young to really appreciate any of them. Although I do remember being introduced to Leonard Bernstein.

I don't remember this but my sister says at one of these parties Ravi Shankar, his then wife Sue Jones, and their daughter, Norah, were in attendance. Apparently, I had just gotten a big bowl of ice cream and the three or four-year-old Norah Jones came into the room where I was watching TV and asked for some. And apparently, my sister, who was watching everything, said that I got a spoof of ice cream held it out to Norah Jones and then teased her with it before finally saying, "no you can't have it," and eating it myself.

At which point she burst into tears, her mother came into the room and picked her up and asked what was wrong and when she said I wouldn't give me any ice cream, her mother said, "oh he's just a little boy, don't worry about it."

Again, I don't remember any of this, but apparently it made quite an impression when the truth got out of my teasing. If I ever meet Ms Jones, I will be sure to relate this same story.
@simao

Wow, interesting story. Your great aunt and uncle founded Angel records? That’s incredible. As a big classical fan, that’s pretty impressive.

Im not sure how many are aware that Norah is the daughter of Ravi.
Simao,
Real cool & good for you! You met Leonard Bernstein at a family gathering, WOW. The people at our family gatherings, although very nice, were from what I remember, mostly drunk. Kind of jealous... :-)

Superb album.
Iron Butterfly - "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida"

In surprisingly good shape considering the life it's lead since my sister bought it in the late '60's.
@reubent there’s a good one!
