Szell conducts Sibelius - Symphony #2. Concertgebouw Orchestra. Philips 1965 Netherlands pressing.

I love Szell’s conducting on this symphony/recording.
The Cars - Heartbeat City.  This is the only one that I didn't have in Discogs (I have four other pressings including MFSL and a Quiex II WLP) and it's playing NM.  Headphone time!
Soft Machine
Bundles
Atlantic 1975 OP

@reubent hey, didn’t go back to check but I may have steered you wrong about which Soft Machine recording features the phenomenal Alan Holdsworth, if so I apologize, it’s this one and it’s right in your wheelhouse bro.   I’m really enjoying it now.  Man o man holdsworth is fast and works in chord structures that don’t feel standard at all.
This record is sort of a cross between Dixie Dregs and Camel.  Fantastic musicians.
@spiritofradio  - I checked out "Bundles". Pretty good stuff. I think you recommended a different Soft Machine album before, and I didn't really care for it. "Bundles" is definitely more my speed.....

Thanks for thinking of me.
Pierre Bartholomée conducts Schubert - Symphonie Nr. 10 D dur. Orchestre Philharmonique De Liège. Ricercar DMM 1984 Belgium pressing

Dang, this orchestra is in my little living room. Didn’t think they would fit.
Reiner conducts Rimsky-Korsakov - Scheherazade. Chicago Symphony Orchestra. RCA Victor Red Seal ‘Living Stereo’ 1960
Sir Simon Rattle conducts Britten - Canadian Carnival, Op. 19, Young Apollo, Op. 16, Four French Songs (Quatre Chansons Françaises), & Scottish Ballad, Op. 26. City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Angel 1982
A couple of '80s albums.

Tears For Fears   'Songs From The Big Chair'  I've had this since it was first released.  A little bright, but really quite good.

The Cars  'Panorama'  A really good Cars album, also have had this since it was first released.  In fact, I forgot just how good this album is.  And very quiet vinyl with great SQ.  Always a treat!

Eric Clapton  'Unplugged'  Disc #2, fantastic album and recording.  And super quiet vinyl.  I'll play disc #1 tomorrow.
Les McCann Ltd. / Stanley Turrentine / Blue Mitchell ‎– Les McCann In New York (Pacific Jazz 1962)

Pink Floyd The Final Cut
Wow this sounds good.
Well, yeah. It's the best album ever made.

Kid Thomas And His Creole Jazz Band ‎– Sonnets From Algiers (Jazzology 1967)
Hard Nose the Highway - Van Morrison

my tenant of 30+ years Pitt Kinsolving passed away from cancer and left his vinyl to me. this was one of them. Its dog earred but it is a prized possession.
Sade - Diamond Life from box set
Cowboy Junkies - Trinity Sessions - AP 33rpm - so awesome

6T5-GTO,
+1 for "Trinity Sessions". A beautiful album all the way through

Noromance,
I was fortunate enough to see LOW with my youngest a couple years ago at a small club in Grand Rapids. Exceptional concert!

Wand / Laughing matter
Turk Murphy And His Jazz Band ‎– At The Roundtable (Forum 1959 mono/stereo)

Rigid vinyl record with superb sound for the time. Crystal clear if not a little 78 sounding. Wonderful music.
Incredible Bongo Band - "Bongo Rock"

My original copy from 1973. The second record I ever bought.
Peter, Paul And Mary ‎– Album (Warner Bros. 1966)

Just great. Sweet cover of Gary Shearston's Sometime Lovin'.
@mammothguy54- Fidelity Investments in their ’Change In Plans’ ad campaign uses several shortened versions of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" from Tears for Fears "Songs from the Big Chair. Pretty clear the market (age) group they are aiming for.

Wonder what that cost Fidelity$$?

@bkeske- Did I read further up about you rolling some Brimar 12AU7s in your rig? If so, impressions? Have you tried Funkengroovins (aka Telefunken-original, not current production)? Or RCA "clear top" side getter flashed? Or "real" Mullards (made in England, not the current black label variety made in Russia) ?
@peguinpower Sorry to hear of your pal's passing. Passing the vinyl down is the way it's meant to be.

Yes indeed. I like the Brimar's. Overall, as others who have purchased them have said, they have 'smoothed' things out overall. Not a 'huge' impact, but IMO better than the stock Electro-Harmonix. The other improvement is that they have made things even quieter. As I've 'improved' the tubes in the Trumpet, it is overall much quieter than the stock tubes. And yes, I have my eyes out for some old Telefunken's for 2 or 4 of the ax7's slots. Right now running 4 new gold pin ax7 Genalex Gold Lions, which are actually pretty nice. All that said, I'm completely new to tubes and rolling, so have no historical reference to compare, but having fun, and enjoying it.
@bkeske Looking forward to your ’Tele’ experience. There is something about their clarity. It is literally like the removal of a veil. No other tube is like them. Except, that is, the ones I use which better the Telefunkens in most applications. The only problem is they do take at least 20 hours to open up and another 100 hours to reach full potential. They are these. They take the 'Tele' qualities and add blacker backgrounds, enhanced timbral delicacy, speed, and simply more inner detail.
J.S.Bach-Violin concertos BWV1041-1042-1043, The English Concert, Tremor Pinnock (Archiv).
The Norwegian flute- Per Oien, flute, The Norwegian Chamber Orchestra (Bis).
Luigi Boccherini- Cellokonzerte C-dur. D-dur. C-dur., um 1760-1790, Concerto Amsterdam (royal sound stereo Telefunken).
"Panorama", 3rd album by The Cars, is way underappreciated in my mind. "Misfit Kid" got recently added to my personal favorites list.
Pete Townshend”secret policeman's ball”. Just found at an antique store in northern WI. Cleaned up and sounds great. Think i like his acoustic stuff better than the rest.
I forgot to mention this.  When listening to The Cars, 'Panorama' (and yes I agree, it is an underappreciated album) I found the bass guitar riffs were so easily discernable.  I was able to follow the fret work and string plucks better than in the past.  Then I realized, I had two of the MyMat on my platter now that I have not had in the past.  I really do believe the MyMat plays a role in this area of record playback.  I have stated this before but wanted to emphasize it again.  Thanks Steve (slaw)!
