What is your favorite holiday song?

My favorite is {I Believe in Father Christmas} by Emerson Lake and Palmer

OK soon will be V-day so xmas is past

Emanuel song from Emanuel soundtrack is a definite leader closely followed by song made by 4-play "Between The Sheets" WOW also very closely followed by same band of 4-play song "Dance With Me Baby"...  MMM ... I went TOO Far and forgot about Leonard Cohen's "I'm Your Man", "Waiting For The Miracle"!
Although it's not usually associated with Christmas, Tommy Roe's "It's Now Winters Day" makes me think of Christmas and one of his best songs IMHO.

Slow song:  O Holy Night
Fast Song:  Sleigh Ride
Artists:  hard to beat Nat King Cole or Karen Carpenter this time of year.  I also like Randy Travis' version of Jingle Bell Rock--it's a good fit.
"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" by Darlene Love. A magnificent Phil Spector production.
Also, add No Place Like Home For The Holidays, by Karen Carpenter.  And Christmas In Prison, John Prime.  Oh, one more, Holly Jolly Christmas, Burl Ives.  Love that voice.
I think with his passing  last year, and this 40 year old memory ...I’ll pick this Bowie and Bing duet of Peace on Earth....

"O Holy Night". Katie Melua does an awesome job on this song IMO on her "In Winter" album. The rest of the album is fantastic as well.

Dave
Either Father Christmas by ELP or John Lennon's So This Is Christmas.  Angel Eyes, a Rodney Crowell song, sung by Emmylou is also great.  Not well known but its worth a search to take a listen.
"Merry Christmas From The Family" by Robert Earl Keen, from his album "Gringo Honeymoon."
