Fezz vs Raven
I'll echo allears4u's endorsment of Raven amps. I owned a Raven Blackhawk for several years and loved it. The personal attention from the owner, Dave Thomson, was remarkable, as well.
Wireless speakers
I’ve bought three pair of Edifier speakers for friends’ houses and have been pleasantly surprised by the build quality and sonics. There are several wireless models, here’s one. https://www.edifier.com/global/p/bookshelf-speakers/s3000mkii
Cary vs Raven
I've owned the Cary Sli-80 and the Raven Blackhawk LE, though at different times and with different speakers. If I were to choose between them, without regard to the speakers, I'd buy the Raven. They were both fine amps but the customer support fr...
Small bookshelf upgrade from Sonos SL in large kitchen area
I’ve bought two pair of Edifier powered speakers for friends and relatives and am very impressed with both the build quality and sound. https://www.edifier.com/us/product-list/speakers
Besides the BBB how do you fight claim resolution against FedEx
An issue with hard foam is that it is sacrificial. It does absorb the force of an impact but in doing that is crushed, losing effectiveness in the case of any subsequent impact. I've found high-density but resilient foam to be more effective than ...

You can find the sale prices of almost any piece of equipment at hifishark.com. Do a search for B&W DM604 and click on the tab at the top of the Sold/Expired tab at the top of the results. Sort by location by clicking on the tabs just above th...
Are you on or off? What say you?
Face it, if you're still visiting this site you're not really off.
Accessing Audiogon securely.
NordVPN for me, too.  A VPN is one of those things that's difficult to evaluate. You're usually not aware of whether it's worked properly or not. Still, with as much chicanery as there is online it's a reasonable step to take, especially when you...
Looking for an all-in-one just-add-speakers streamer for my son to take to college
I'd recommend any of the Edifier powered Bluetooth speakers. I've compared them to the Audioengine speakers and thought the Edifiers sounded much better. https://www.edifier.com/global/product-category/bookshelf-speakers
W4S DAC
A strong argument in favor of the W4S products is that the technical support is exceptional. I had what I thought was an issue with my W4S DAC and sent an email on a weekend evening, expecting to get a reply early the next week. Within an hour EJ ...
Bluesound recent update 4.0 tanked sound quality ???
Did the update on my iPad a couple of days ago and hear no difference in the audio quality through Bel Canto DAC and amp and Q Acoustics speakers. The interface is a nice improvement..
What is your most fond musical memory.
...one more, the $2 Tuesday night performances of Paul Ray and the Cobras at the Rome Inn in Austin in the early 70s. Stevie Ray Vaughn on lead guitar, almost always standing at the back of the stage with his back to the audience.
What is your most fond musical memory.
Two, both at Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin - Van Morrison (the R&B Van, not the Celtic mystic Van) Little Feat with unannounced appearance by Linda Ronstadt
Opening Acts For the Rolling Stones
+tony1954 I saw that same show in Ft. Worth, TX in 1972, which included the Staple Singers as the middle act, and agree completely about Stevie Wonder (who was being billed as "Stevie Wonder" for the first time rather than "Little Stevie Wonder")...
Is D-Sonics audio still in business
Another vote for any of the Bel Canto products, really well made and great sounding.
