tweaking audio systems with modifications.

it was a long time ago that i was here on this site...talking to you guys.

so how do you tweak your audio system?? is it possible for a low cost?

basically like maghister...guy seems like a genius since he says the sound quality is really good. but he made all this stuff himself. i want a cheap system...but it must sound really good.

i want to build a system one day. but i don't have money right now because i am not working. my wife refuses to buy me a system.

Get enough money to buy a ticket to a movie or a live concert, it will probably be better than anything you can get at home, regardless of your budget.

The OP asked for:

What I suggested can happen this week-end instead of one day.

I would rather go to one live concert than listen to any type of system.

Now, if you have a budget OP, post it, and we can be more specific.

Telling this to Santa last month, while you were sitting on his knee... that didn't help, did it?

"my wife refuses to buy me a system."

I don’t blame her. Plus, she gets points for marrying a troll...

A troll post?  No way.

Each to his or her own.

best not to read @maghister   He's a dreeamer.  Probably with poor ears.

and go get a job digitalviperman

Maghister, like me, is big into room acoustics.  You don't have to build your own acoustic panels, plenty of good sources.  GIK and ATS acoustics are great places to start.

Maybe there is someone in this group that could help him get started.  We should all be thinking this way.  There must be some equipment that is laying around that could be put to good use.

You can build a really great sounding system using older components.  Older Counterpoint, HK, etc.  These can be upgraded to almost reference quality components.  Even the old Lafayette KT-550 power amp is a bargain and competes with current gear.

Viper, ask TubeBuffer to buy you a really good sounding system (with a SOTA MP3 player - of course).

I tried to look up maghister to check out his system again and his username comes up as "not found".    ????   Any ideas?

You spelled his username incorrectly.
