No. I do not have a Facebook account. However, if I did have it, I would use glupson. Why do it any other way?
Nothing is that mysterious except why you engaged in a conversation with a person who was treating you poorly. What made you continue?
Somewhere above, it also mentions that Ethan Whiner uses fake accounts. How does an account become fake? Isn’t it all fully virtual? Aside of that, to me Ethan Whiner seems like a name made up for a movie, or something like that.
TBH, I have to join the Glupson camp on this one. I do not use Farcebook, Twatter or any of the other "social media" merry go rounds. Personally I have no desire to share my dirty laundry with the world. Any of my family, friends, co-workers want to know anything they can pick up the phone and call me !
So why here then?
I for one never said this was the ONLY forum I frequent but I much prefer the topic specific ones like audio, Porsche, drag racing etc than wordwide nosey parker busy body type platforms. Just me but I suspect I am not alone.
And I come here despite the trolls, silliness and hilarious at times posts to try and learn something new most times.
Which I have many days and have bettered my system because of these forums not in spite of them, IMHO.
And it is a great way to start the day with a good laugh!

I have read his audio expert book. It's on Amazon. Some very good advice from Ethan in there. Especially on the acoustics realm, room treatment. While I disagree with him in terms of "everything else is Snake Oil", I have to give him credit where he deserves it. As they say, "listen to the wisdom of an old man, not to his farts".

People should stop letting others take their threads into La La Land. Best to just ignore posts from those who habitually post nonsense, spam, etc. Also spam can be reported for deletion by mods to keep the house clean. Let’s all do our part to help keep Agon clean. It’s a big job these days.
I think the seemingly mindless meanderings of a certain poster and other posts made in this thread (and other threads) more clearly illustrates the concepts communicated in this paper than any planned demonstration could ever hope to achieve, and to that end, it will meet its educational value to those that want to learn.
This looks like it was published in an on-line forum. As a one-time experimental psychologist I would say that this paper does not meet basic standards for publication because of the lack of documentation of the procedure followed in its experiments. I could not figure out at all what was actually done to the subjects to get the data. Then the authors cover this up with an elaborate model which seems to be excessive for the basic points it tries to make, which don't really show anything new. In other words rubbish research.
The problem with that is unleashing unbridled censorship whenever an OP does not like a post. I would be against that. Rather, anyone, on most browsers at least, can already flag posts for deletion that violate stated Agon guidelines, like spam, or being abusive to another among others. So everyone already has the ability to help police the site based on the rules if they just care enough to take the time to do it.
In the first place this thread is neither funny or educational. How do you like them apples? Is it apparently conceived to draw attention to the OP, who apparently truly believes he’s some sort of prophetic science geek. Other than that, it serves as a platform for my high-diving audio humor. Of course humor is subjective. The dynamics of internet interaction. I mean, come on people!
I would like an ability something less shotgun like than an out and out block of a user, as say Facebook which would prevent them from responding as they can never see your threads, to something more scalpel like, like blocking users on a per thread basis, just to save the effort of having to continually remove posts.

I believe that was actually one of the aims of the "Insider" project, which unfortunately gained no real traction. If I remember correctly I think there was talk of the OP of a thread created under the Insider forum being able to block users from said thread.
Also I was under the district impression horses can speak but that might be due to too much TV. That’s pretty interesting if horses really can use a hand calculator you know, since they don’t have hands. Do they use hoof calculators? Maybe I’m wrong about this thread not being educational.
teo_audio already clarified that one. He/they started using smaller calculators for hummingbirds. There was a problem with horses. Which makes me question his initial statement about Ethan Winer's use of calculators.
