Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments?

I just bought Synergistic Research's new Tesla Accelerator speaker cables and Tesla Vortec interconnects from The Cable Company. I have tried many demo cables from The Cable Company over the past year. These were the first to give me that WOW factor I been looking for so long.

Does anyone have these cables and can you please post your impressions and comments? Thanks.

Rydenfan,
Only the chassis surfaces that first must be CNC cut and machined are coated- before the CNC process. Sadly it is not possible to coat the edges after the CNC process as the coating process is highly involved and must be performed on the sheets themselves which are then hung vertically and dried in a climate stabilized, dust free and emission controlled environment.

I just posted a review of the PowerCell 10 and SE version.
It is listed in the Product Reviews under Accs-AC Filter
Ozzy, my thoughts entirely follow what you have said here, save that I had no experience with the PowerCell 10 Standard. My 10SE was good out of the box but much better the second day. Each of the SR power cords also showed a one or two day break in.

I too have unused dedicated circuits.

The 32 amp connector turns to snap into locked position. The lock will be at the top of the plug when locked.

I posted this on your review also.
Actually Rydenfan, the Oyaide WCP-Z actually I might try(Recommended by other Audiogoners), a little pricey, but might audition one. In regards to the Teslaplex's, I am running my SVS PB-13Ultra(piano black) on a seperate wall outlet and I was wondering if a Teslaplex would make a difference with LFE.......Anyone???

REGARDS Bacardi
Hey guys and gals, I posted a review of my Powercell 10 SE over on Ozzy's review thread. Please check it out.
I decided to try the SR Tesla accelerator cables, Purist Auquaus Anniversary, Analysis Plus Big Silver Oval and MIT Magnum M1 stuff. I compared them all to a set of Monster Cable M2.2s speaker cables and Z200i IC's (combined price of $620 USD. The Monster cables outperformed all the others by a good margin...who'da thunk it?
I just wired in another Teslaplex in my system this one for my SVS PB13 Ultra subwoofer. All I can say is "HOLY". The bass after a week substantially ignited into my chest. For movies it is extremely defined, tighter & much louder but also precise to the material. For music it also was louder & defined. The both Teslaplex's in a way seemed to make my whole system more efficient & exceed the soundstage it had before. I am very happy with the Teslaplex again and suggest others to try on they're sub also..You won't believe your ears!!! Well recommended......

Has anyone had experience with the Acoustic ART System? In particular I am wondering if the system can be broken up while still retaining benefits. I am intrigued by this product as acoustics are the last frontier (for now) in my system.

Thanx
Shellie, I bought the ARTs at the RMAF on hearing their demonstration. I find your question curious and don't exactly know what you mean by "still retaining benefits." However I do have experience in installing them in my room. As I added each component and then further adjusted them to the proper height, to a position closer to my listening position than the first reflection point, and to slightly further toward the front wall on the floor behind my equipment centered between my speakers, I heard great improvements. It probably takes several hours do get this all right.
He means "can you buy just part of the ART system" and still get benefits. Sure. The Bass Station, for example. But the whole, in this case, provides more benefits than the sum of the parts.
Bacardi,

Thanks for the update regarding Teleplex outlet for your sub. I was contemplating that myself and with your update, I should just do it.

Regards,

Kenobi
Thanx Tbg and Tedmbrady.

Yes I am wondering if I can start "small" and go big later. In this economy I can't afford to do all the things I took for granted just a few short months ago. Ted would you start with the Bass Station and perhaps a Satellite in placde of the Vibratron? If so which Satellite- Magnatron or Gravitron? My dealer suggests I go with a Gravitron and a Bass Station to start.
Anyone hear anything on the new "Transporter" to replace the Quattro??????

Regards Bacardi
Ted just demonstrated the Synergistic stuff at a BAAS meeting at Jason Serinus' house. Everything he did was an improvement(He would take things out, and then put them back in.). Dynamics and separation were standouts. I believe he suggested starting where your dealer said to start(Gravitron and Bass Station), Shellie. That combination is just under a grand, I believe. Without the ART stuff, the music seemed to stay on one plane.
Has anyone tried any isolation from vibrations on their Powercell's with any improvements? For example, footers or platforms. Or does the unit not need any isolation because of its unique enclosure. THANKS!
Joeyboynj, I initially put the PowerCell on a Mana Stand but have never tried it off the stand or on any other stand. Maybe I should try this.
I use a Sistrum Sp101 platform under my Optima Red Top battery that powers my Altmann/DD Dac combo. Using the platform made for an immediate improvement over just the Audiopoints on carpet over concrete floor. Battery on just the floor was the least satisfactory. Solar panel with no storage vessel would be less active than just a battery which is certainly less active than a conditioner, improvements should be perceived with the right choice of resonance control. Tom
Under my Powercell I am using some very sharp cones made out of some composite material that Stewart at SOS sold me a while back. They are not metal but a very hard material.
I used these cones with my Hydra 8 when I had it and now the Powercell. It was a real chore to put these under the Powercell with the points pointing down to the wooden shelve.
There is a tightness of the notes with the spikes, a good improvement.

Actually SR should provide replacement similiar cones for the feet.
This would not only provide a sound improvement but it raises the Powercell up so that the Mini coupler clears the bottom.
Question for interconnect signal direction between power amp and pre amp. Tesla accelerator active mpc LED end plugs into amp or pre amp??? Help.....

REGARDS Bacardi
I considered what I might put under my SR PowerCell tonight. Because of the stiffness of the Hologram A and Ds as well as the Precision power cord to the wall, I ruled out any cones. It would just be too unstable. I do have an unused Acapella Silencio base which does provide excellent isolation. Frankly the task of unplugging everything, removing the PowerCell, placing the Acapella on the Mana stand, and reinstalling everything, is just too daunting for the little gain I think I would get. I do have some solid carbon feet that I could just pick up a corner and install all around. I might try that. I also have regular and pro Aerios, but the Mana top would have to be perfectly level. I also have one of Walker's platforms for the Walker Velocitor but it is small. It really works, however.
Question on interconnect LED direction for subwoofer. Should it be on pre-amp end or sub end???? Also: Best Power cord/Interconnect combination for sub. Help & Thx

REGARDS Bacardi
If this is a question of me, the charging in is at the source. The arrow should go toward the subwoofer amp.
Thx Tbg. Any suggestion on S.R RCA & Power cord. I have a Phase II RCA active and a Subwoofer AC Master Coupler Active. I do want an upgrade. Thx.

Regards BACARDI
I have through trial and error and with Ted's advice found the right combination. The line and phono stages like the TESLA T2s, the amp the Hologram A, and the Precision AC struck out everywhere except driving the 10SE PowerCell.
I am using Tesla Reference Active subwoofer ICs with a Tesla T-3 powercord in my system on my Velodyne sub. Big improvement over any other PC or ICs I've used previously. This would probably be a pretty big upgrade over what you are using now. Good luck.
Thx Fplanner2000. Do you get better quality through XLR for a subwoofer??

Regards BACARDI
Bacardi- I don't know the answer to your question, since I have never used XLR connections with my sub/preamp. Single-ended for a 12' run has never been a problem for me. That might be a Synergistic question, since its their cables.
Bacardi, I have learned that all Synergistic Research ics are the same except at the terminations. I doubt if there would be any difference between single ended and balanced.
I Just replaced my 1M Tesla Accelerator interconnects between my amp & pre and jumped to the Precision Reference. All I can say from a few hours is "WOW". I will listen more & conclude the rest of the story as time goes on......

REGARDS Bacardi
Does anyone have any additional information about SynergisticÂ’s QLS-9 and QLS-6 power strips? I know that they do not have any power surge protection, they ARE quantum tunneled and use similar outlets as the Teslaplex. Do they offer more than just power distribution and have any power conditioning benefits??? Maybe Ted can jump in on this??? I want to use one in my HT set up in front of an Audience Adept Response aR1p and ditch the PS audio stuff. THANKS!!!
I have everything(accept my sub stuff) plugged into my QLS 9 and a Precision Reference power cord from it to a Teslaplex(wall) . One word "Amazing". Ya can't get better than that.......I believe Joeyboynj, that it doesn't do much more than you mentioned, but for what it does do with a good power cord link to wall, is something everybody should have....
Anybody not able to use a Hologram A on there power amp? I was told that my Parasound HCA-2205A amp of 220x5 was too much power and the Hologram A was limitting(too much power). I was getting feedback from speakers and the sound seemed congested. I have moved it to my Pre amp. I am therefore using a Precision Reference on my Parasound now. Any Help!!!!

Regards BACARDI
You may have a bad cord or something wrong with the active conditioning. Absent that, I have a pretty tough time believing the cord is "limiting" - there's apparently something wrong somewhere.
Barcardi,
Maybe you can try the T3 UHC for the power amps. I will get mine next week and will feedback here. I tried the Hologram A on my pre and didn't like it at all which made it sounding a bit kind of like out of phase and too warm... I switched to the Precision AC and it is much better in my system with pinpoint image and great extensions high to low.
Bacardi, the Precision ic is recommended for between line stage and amp. It is very fast.

I compared the Tesla T2, Precision AC, and Hologram A on my H-Cat amp. The Precision was third, the T2 next, and the Hologram A clearly best. The Precision is mainly for tube amps, I am told.

Flashunlock, is your amp a tube amp?

On my H-Cat line stage, the T2 was best. All of these cables have certain characteristics which SR is pretty predictive of.

Guys, these power cords get better and better for months.
Actually, I addressed Eliott at S. R and he noted the problem to me. It might be just an incompatability issue with my components. Maybe I will let it settle in longer & hopefully notice a difference.....Should it be plugged directly into the wall Teslaplex instead of the QLS 9???? Anybody!!!

Regards BACARDI
Tbg,

No, My amps are solid state.....Precision AC between Krell Evo-202 pre and power being Evo-1. I didn't have any other SR cables in the chain when I auditioned them but will have T3 UHC for the power amps soon.
Anyone tried plugging huge power amps to the Powercell and what are your findings?.
Bacardi, I assume you have no PowerCell. If so, plug directly into the wall. You will have fewer contacts.

Flashunlock, I used the Sanders Sound Magtech amp into the PowerCell. This amp has 500 watts per side and sounded excellent into the PowerCell, which is not current limiting.
I have 2 VAC 300.1 tube amps plugged into a Powercell 10SE via Hologram A's with no problems whatsoever.
I have looked on the SR web site and can't seem to find anything on the Teslaplex. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place. Anyway, I recall that this duplex was a custom-designed version of a Hubbell. Can someone give me some details of the design materials of this duplex? I currently have the Porter Ports( cryo'd version of a Hubbell 8300H) and with the exception of the Teslaplex being Tesla zapped, what would be the main construction differences? If there is any nickle in it, I don't think I would be interested, but then again...
Sherod, you are not overlooking the Teslaplex; it is not on their site. It strikes me that it is a normal Leviton hospital grade outlet, but the zapping does wonders. I also have normal Home Depot cheaters that have been zapped. If you compare them with the unzapped version, you would not doubt the improvement you get with Quantum Tunneling. I have had many cryoed components. Using the Vandergraff has far greater benefit.
So does SR provide the Quantum Tunneling( Vandergraff) zapping to non-SR products?
They did treat some cheaters for me and apparently are considering having them available. But you know that I have the H-Cat P12R which almost necessitates having only the line stage grounded. I don't know, nor do they, how many need such outstanding cheaters.
For a reasonable fee, I might send him one of my extra Porter Ports to zap for me. It would be an interesting comparison. Any idea what he charges? This seems like it could be a great side business. Anyone know where I can buy or build one of these Vandergraff zappers? (o:
Is this the same Van De Graaff you are referring to?

http://chem.ch.huji.ac.il/history/graaff.html

Thx all. Tbg. I don't have a powercell yet, but I will try the Hologram A plugged straight into a wall Teslaplex. If I get same results I will keep the Precision AC on the power amp and put the Hologram A on the pre amp.

Regards BACARDI
Sherod, go to SR page and look under Tesla and at bottom Tunneling footage.
