Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments?

I just bought Synergistic Research's new Tesla Accelerator speaker cables and Tesla Vortec interconnects from The Cable Company. I have tried many demo cables from The Cable Company over the past year. These were the first to give me that WOW factor I been looking for so long.

Does anyone have these cables and can you please post your impressions and comments? Thanks.

Thanks for the great advise and for saving me some money.
If you have a Powercell I would start with that. Use one for the powercell and one for the powercell cord.
News Alert.... Important information from ozzy.

I have on trial a one meter pair of the Tesla Apex interconnect.

Got to tell you guys, with all the postings on this thread, and after using it, I was not that impressed.

But...I have just discovered that proper orientation of the mini coupler AC plugs is critical to the performance.
I had the mini coupler plugged into a 6 way power strip.

I recently read on the Synergistic Research web site that the Plugs must be up and down when plugged into a wall outlet.

Well, when I looked at the way mine were plugged into the power strip, sure enough, I had it reversed!

Once I reversed the plugs into the proper orientation, the sound stage widened and the frequency extremes sound glorious.
How would you descibe the attributes of the Hologram D power cord to be used with a Cary 306 SACd player.
Joeyboynj, Thanks for the reply.

My new Synergistic Apex interconnect is between my Cary 306 SACD and my H-Cat Preamp.

I am using the Purist Dominus C balanced interconnect between my Preamp(H-Cat) and Amp (Pass Labs X350.5).

For power cords , I have the Purist Anniversary on my Cary 306 SACD , a Electraglide Epithany X on my H-Cat Preamp a VD Rev 2 power cord on my Pass Labs Amp and I also have a VD Rev 2 on my Hydra 8 (which is powering my Video system only)

I would like to try the Synergistic power cords but I am confused.
Right now as I mentioned earlier, I have a Purist Anniversary power cord on my Cary SACD and a Electraglide Epithany X on the H-Cat Preamp.

I was thinking of moving the Purist Anniversary to my Preamp and trying a Synergistic Tesla D on my Cary SACD.
Or, should I leave the Purist Anniversary on my Cary SACD and get a Synergistic Tesla A for my Preamp?

Decisions, decisions...
Well I talked to the Cable Company and Synergistic. Both said once the blue light goes out the active circuitry is done.Neither claimed to be sure how long the light would work.
Both recommended to unplug the mini coupler when not in use to save the LED.

More importantly,
I was quite surprised how little the guy who answered the phone at Synergistic knew about their products , so his opinion about the LED may not be valid.
I asked to speak to someone else and he said know one else was there, to call back later. So, I called back later and was told to call back another day, couldnt tell me what day to call.
Man, how do you guys get to talk to Ted, when I cant talk to more than maybe the Janitor?
There cables are expensive, they need to do better in customer service before I spend anymore money with that company!
Ted, thank you for the posting.

Pardon my little soapbox...
I dont understand why companies spend lots of money on advertising to draw customers to their products , but dont have qualified personnel to answer customer questions.
I dont see anythng listed on the Synergistic web site about the power cords
Leica man, thanks for the help.
How would you descibe the frequency extremes with the Hologram D ?
I ask this because many cable designers control digital nasties by suppressing the upper frequencies.
Ok someone has to state this.

Wow, lets see...75,000 hours (at 24/7 usage) means that within a little more than 8 years (or perhaps sooner), the Active Shielding will not work. Evidently the LED is the active shielding.

8 years can be an eternity in changes within the High end Audio Industry.

Questions
How much does it cost to have the LED's replaced ?
Will the technology at Synergistic be the same in 8 years to update the repair of the LED?
Will you be able to sell them used after 5 years since buyers will know they will fail in a couple of years?
Will Synergistic even be around in 8 years?

With the cost of the cables for a whole system using Apex, Hologram A and D approaching $10,000+ one needs to really evaluate the value in these cables.

Its too bad the cables dont have a user replacement LED, so you could just have on hand extra LED's.
Freemand, I think an earlier post said 3 days they sound good and about a week they sound there best.
Leica man, there is nothing under Hologram D. It says, "under construction". Been that way for a long time. I went ahead and ordered the power cable anyway based on the great sound I am getting from my system with the Tesla Apex interconnect .
My early posting should have included that the Hologram D went straight to my Audiodharma Cable Cooker.
Since Synergistic uses such an intense method of conditioning ( Quatum tunneling), is Cable Cooking the Tesla cables even nessesary ?
Which is the power cord favorite to use with a Preamp?

The Cable company is too much hassle waiting for them to get the cables in to try, plus they charge primarily retail when you buy.

Currently, I have a Hologram D on my CD Player and a Apex interconnect from CD to Preamp.
Thanks guys for the comments on suggestions on a Preamp cord.
It seems most are recommending to use the T2 on the Preamp. Is the Hologram A overkill ?

I'll call the Cable Company just for chance. Last time however, they said it would be 1-2 months before they have the T2, T3 and Hologram A in to Audition.
Well, I called the Cable Company, the lady who screens the calls said they were too busy and too busy to call me back.
I was told to try to call them back Monday.

I swear I have never had good luck with them.
How come you guys rave about the customer service so much?
Foster 9, Fplanner2000, I agree.
I think we Audio guys are giving the Cable Company too much easy business.

If I can scrape enough funds together to buy a Hologram A for my Preamp would that be a sure bet to be better than a T2, or T3 ?

I just dont want to buy a T2 and always wonder if the Hologram A would have been better because then I would eventually sell it to upgrade anyhow.
I here you Jmo, Joeyboynj,
The Cable Company offers that unique service that can be frusterating when you cant get thru or they cany even call you back.
If I finally contact them and they tell me it will be 1-2 months again to demo the cables, that is it! No more for Cable Company for me.

But, this thread is about the Synergistic Tesla Cables. Actual Audiogonners experience and recommendations is far superior in help than any company trying to sell me something.
Went ahead and ordered the T2 for my Preamp and the dealer is sending me the Hologram A to try .
I think I have found a winner in a dealer.

Called the Cable Company first, they were too busy, she said someone would call back. No one did...
I gave up on the Cable Company.
Just got a Tesla Hologram A and next Tuesday I will have a T2.
So , I finally will be able to put to test which Synergistic power cord is best on my Preamp.
If the T2 does prove to be the best, I will then try the Hologram A on my Amp.
I also have Apex Interconnects and a Hologram D on my Digital.
Just tried the T2 after 4 days on my Audiodharma cable. Definatly an improvement over the Electraglide Epithany X that I was using on my Preamp .

T2 compared to the Hologram A on my Preamp...???

You guys were right! The T2 on my Preamp is better than the much more expensive Synergistic Tesla Hologram A.
The Hologram A seemed to have too much upper bass boom, the T2 settled in nicely with a big soundstage.
Since the T2 power cord proved to be a good match for my Preamp over the Hologram A power cord and thus saving me money, should I also consider a lower model balanced interconnect to be used from my Preamp to Amp or stick with buying another Apex?

What I have so far;

Hologram D power cord on Digital
Hologram A power cord on Amp
T2 power cord on Preamp
Apex interconnect from Digital to Preamp.
What do you guys suggest to use as speaker cables?

I have saved $$$ and am very satisfied with the help on this thread thus far.

So far I have:
Hologram D on digital
Holgram A on Amp
T2 on Preamp
Apex interconnect from Digital to Preamp
Precision Ref from Preamp to Amp
Is Apex the best choice for speaker cables with my existing cables or Precison ref?
Splaskin, I have the same cables as you except for the speaker cables.
I am not sure wheather to order Apex bi-wire or Precision refernce bi-wire.
I will be unable to try both. How did you decide on the Apex speaker cables ?
Were you able to try both ?
Just ordered the Apex bi-wire Speaker Cable. That will complete my All Tesla Cabling.

Power Cords
Hologram D
Hologram A
T2
Interconnects
Apex interconnect
Precsion Ref interconnect

Some things I have learned on the way.
1. With each addition the soundstage gets bigger and deeper.
2. Even with putting each cable on my Audiodharma Cable Cooker for 4 days before using, they still take about a week of listening to break in.
JMO, totally agree! Now that my system is all SR , my system has never sounded better !

The music no longer seems to come from the speakers but floats in front, behind, around the sides...very impressive soundstage.
I was just listening to the MOFI Santana Remasters and wow do these rock ! The percussion sound is everywhere.
I am really interested in a Powercell.

Can anyone share some opinions on this conditioner ?.

I have a Pass Labs X350.5 Amp, a Pass Labs XP-10 Preamp and a Cary 306 SACD player.

Presently, I have 3 dedicated circuits. One for my Video plugged into a Hydra 8. One circuit for my CD Player ,Preamp and one Circuit for my Amplifier.

So, using the Powercell with only one outlet plugged into it and then plugging my Preamp CD player and Amp into it can that be better than the dedicated circuits ?

My past experience with any conditioner says no.
There is nothing on the website.
Question: The PowerCell 10 SE comes with the Precision AC power cord that uses a 32Amp connector.
Has the wire itself been increased in gauge over the 15 A Precision AC power cord?

I would hope so, but, there is no mention of that on the website desciption nor pictures.
I just posted a review of the PowerCell 10 and SE version.
It is listed in the Product Reviews under Accs-AC Filter
Under my Powercell I am using some very sharp cones made out of some composite material that Stewart at SOS sold me a while back. They are not metal but a very hard material.
I used these cones with my Hydra 8 when I had it and now the Powercell. It was a real chore to put these under the Powercell with the points pointing down to the wooden shelve.
There is a tightness of the notes with the spikes, a good improvement.

Actually SR should provide replacement similiar cones for the feet.
This would not only provide a sound improvement but it raises the Powercell up so that the Mini coupler clears the bottom.
Just as others have commented try it both ways.

After doing this if you are still not sure , I would think keeping the digital from the Analog would be a good thing.

So,if your QLS9 has Analog items plugged into it, I would plug the Hologram D into a seperate outlet (perhaps the wall outlet), or at least with other Digital items.

If you go straight into the wall get another Teslaplex outlet.
It seems they have been "working" on the Web page for several years...

Great products, Great Service, but the product information needs improvement. It seems to me that getting product information on their web site would be an important lifeline for the type of customers SR seeks.

Perhaps they need to hire a High School kid to get that web page humming.
Ptm, I used to use a power strip for all my mini couplers just as you are now.
Finally, I broke down and bought a Quattro.
I dunno why but it really brings the sound quality up another level.
You dont know what you are missing.
Tbg, Bacardi is right. The Quattro is a small compact unit that powers all of my Active shields (12) but without having to use the big and bulky mini couplers. I think it looks better than the long QLS9 strip.
SR was kind enough to make me a few adapters to use with the older/newer style DC plugs.

With the Quattro, the wires appear a little neater and organized.

Besides, if the Quattro ever goes out, I will still have all my mini couplers in fresh condition to use.
Shellie,
What is the new Galileo MPC?
Is it a new mini power coupler?
Or a new Master Control Center?
I have been using a T2 power cord on my Pass Labs XP10 Preamp for quite some time now. This power cord has been recommended by SR and by most of the posters on this thread.

But, sprinkled throughout this thread there are some who are using the Precision Ref Power cord on thier Preamp.

Well, I tried one on mine and I have got to tell you there was a pretty big improvement. Improvement in areas of better soundstage, clearer highs and better definition all around.
I have also tried the Hologram A on the preamp and found the upper bass to be too boomy.

So, it is amazing how there is so many "right" cables for different equipment.
Shellie, I haven’t received it yet, hopefully this week or early next week. I would think that by using the Galileo at the Powercell all of the components are getting the benefit. I hope that benefit to be a bigger and even more defined images in the soundstage.

I still like my Quattro for the sole purpose of eliminating the clutter of the Mini Couplers. But, if the Galileo proves to be a big improvement I may install another on my Quattro Power cord.
Der, If the MPC is installed upside down, it will affect the active shielding. Not sure if that would make it humm though.
Bacardi, If most of your components are plugged into the QLS9 then I would start there. If only your Mini couplers are plugged into your QLS9 then maybe that would be a good starting place, but also you Preamp since most of your components would be plugged into that.
Some say the interconnects on your highest quality source component. Others say speaker cables since all the music comes through them.

I am sure wherever you try it , it will be an instant improvement. Mine was.
We will probably end up buying several.
Bacardi, No I still have them. Too bad Synergistic doesnt offer a trade in program.
