USA may be out to lunch on R/D..China just pledged 2 trillion on artificial intelligence R/D research and plant construction. Tom
New Tweak --- Its Fantastic
THE NEW TWEAK
Over the good part of this past year I’ve been beta testing a new tweak, the name of which is "Total Contact." Its a hi-bred graphene contact enhancer that is different from all other contact enhancers that have come and gone for one reason or another. I’m not new to these contact enhancers, having had quite a bit of experience with a product developed by the late Brian Kyle and his "Quick Silver" contact enhancer. The "Total Contact" is different ... a LOT different.
"Total Contact" is graphene based and is not a vibration control. It eliminates micro-arching between two contacts. Micro-arching, much like Micro-vibration smears the sound in our stereo systems. Its the type of distortion that we don’t know is there .... until we eliminate it. There is no break-in as we know it. The sound is improved right off the bat, but what you hear is only a smidgen of what’s to come.
I tested three generations of "TC," each of which was an improvement over the previous incarnation. The final mix was cryogenitically treated and made for a more effective, much smoother application. It comes in a large hypodermic needle type plunger containing 1.5 ml of product and includes a instructional DVD and an application brush.
The application should be applied with a very thin coat to all of your electrical connections .... from your cartridge pins to your power cords. I did my entire system, including the ends of my fuses.
Upon initial application, you will notice an improvement in clarity, correctness of tonal balance and a more overall organic sound. But ... that is just scratching the surface of what this magic paste does. As it cures, the improvements become more apparent. Much more!
There are two real break-through events that happen almost to the day with "Total Contact," one at four weeks and another at eight weeks . At four weeks, you’ll get a real jump in clarity and overall improvement. That’s only a taste though of what’s to come at eight weeks. At eight weeks your system’s focus will make a jump in SQ that is so real - its surreal.
After 40 years in the hobby, and a total tweak nut, I have never heard anything that does what this graphene paste does. The see-through clarity at eight weeks becomes simply amazing. The "paste" eventually cures into a kind of polymer plastic and it seems that the sound improves with each listening session. So, its important that you leave your contacts alone for the duration. If you’re the type of person that continually switches wires in and out, you’ll have to re paste until enough time has elapsed to get "the cure."
The only problem I had was with the first batch and that had to do with shorting out a tube pin in the line stage. Use the "TC" very sparingly on tube pins, if at all. I only had problems with the line stage tube pins. The Amp, CD Player and Phono Stage has had no tube pin problems at all.
Tim Mrock, one of our fellow A’goners, is the developer of the product. Its taken Tim 15 years and several patents to get it right. Tim has "pasted" every electrical contact he can find in his audio system, all of the switches in his circuit breaker box, every contact in his car ... and has used it in commercial applications such as hospital circuit breakers, surgical lights ... and other places where efficiency and long life of electrical components are deemed important.
This product is highly recommended to anyone who truly wants to get the most out of his/her audio systems. There’s enough product in each tube to do at least two audio systems as it just takes a very thin coat on each application to be effective. The last tube was enough to do my system twice and then a friend’s system this past weekend.
Frank
PS: There were a couple of other A’goner beta testers of this product as well. Hopefully, they will chime in here with their experiences for comparison. I "pasted" both of Steve Fleschler’s systems a few days ago, perhaps he will comment on his results too. We forgot to paste Steve’s power cords though, so there’s a lot more to be had from Steve’s two fantastic systems.

^^^ Keep the faith, Tom. Going right along with the great economist Adam Smith, the invisible hand of the free market is already driving prices down. Randy-11 is going to supply us with a whole list of manufactures who are offering graphene contact products intended for audio at only ten bucks a pop. Randy-11 sez: " where are the listening tests showing it is better than the products that cost $10????" Randy? Where's the list? Inquiring minds want to know. Frank |

GRAPHENE FOR EMI SHIELDING (Duh!) “Graphene appears to be the most effective material for EMI shielding (Nanowerk Spotlight) Sensitive electronic devices like cell phones and computers require shielding from electromagnetic interference (EMI). Such shielding – which must be electrically conductive – has traditionally been made of metal, which poses a weight problem in the push to miniaturize and lighten electronics. Previous research has already demonstrated that ultra-lightweight carbon nanostructure-based nanocomposite materials outperform conventional metal shielding due to their light weight, resistance to corrosion, flexibility, and processing advantages ("Towards cost-efficient EMI shielding materials using carbon nanostructure-based nanocomposites"). In new work, scientists in Korea have now demonstrated that single-layer graphene is an excellent choice of material for high-performance EMI shielding. They found that CVD-synthesized graphene shows more than seven times greater EMI shielding effectiveness (in terms of dB) than gold film of the same thickness. Reporting their findings in a recent online edition of Nanotechnology ("Electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness of monolayer graphene"), a team led by Byung Jin Cho, a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), suggests the feasibility of manufacturing an ultrathin, transparent, weightless, and flexible EMI shield by a single or a few atomic layers of graphene.” |
I bet some of you guys have already seen this website. No affiliation, but it looks pretty darn interesting- prices ain’t bad either. https://graphene-supermarket.com/Pristine-Graphene-Monolayer-Flakes-50-ml.html |
This just in! Graphene structures. Hurray! Let’s see, what can be look forward to constructed with Graphene, ten times stronger than steel? I’m thinking tweeters and midrange drivers, tonearms, isolation platforms, speaker cabinets, what have you. “Researchers design one of the strongest, lightest materials known Porous, 3-D forms of graphene developed at MIT can be 10 times as strong as steel but much lighter. A team of researchers at MIT has designed one of the strongest lightweight materials known, by compressing and fusing flakes of graphene, a two-dimensional form of carbon. The new material, a sponge-like configuration with a density of just 5 percent, can have a strength 10 times that of steel. In its two-dimensional form, graphene is thought to be the strongest of all known materials. But researchers until now have had a hard time translating that two-dimensional strength into useful three-dimensional materials. The new findings show that the crucial aspect of the new 3-D forms has more to do with their unusual geometrical configuration than with the material itself, which suggests that similar strong, lightweight materials could be made from a variety of materials by creating similar geometric features. The findings are being reported today in the journal Science Advances, in a paper by Markus Buehler, the head of MIT’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) and the McAfee Professor of Engineering; Zhao Qin, a CEE research scientist; Gang Seob Jung, a graduate student; and Min Jeong Kang MEng ’16, a recent graduate.” |
@oregonpapa, perhaps Randy-11 will answer your question when you answer the question ps posed to you. The one where he posted that he was purchasing a different product and you told him there's a sucker born every minute. You can't have it both ways, sir. If you're going to call someone out on what they posted, have the intestinal fortitude to answer when you're called out...Not starting anything moderators, just making a truthful observation and expressing an opinion... |
Carp ... Read the above several posts. Randy intimated that he could buy graphene based contact enhancers either identical to, or similar to, the Total Contact for ten bucks. I simply asked him for a list of the manufactures. To date, no list has been forthcoming. Then posters chimed in with graphene products like batteries and shields. Hard to paste IC’s and PC’s with batteries and shields, wouldn’t you say? :-) The old adage that "A sucker is born every minute" is valid. When only price is taken into account, especially with no experience with a more expensive product, disappointment is usually what follows. I challenge Randy to apply what he’s bought to his tube pins and see what happens. The binder in the product he’s buying is oil based, thin, and is a real mess, not to mention that oil becomes rancid over time. Have I tried it myself? No ... but I am relying on the information supplied by those who have. Randy and his ilk refuse to believe the positive results achieved so far by others who are now using Total Contact in their audio systems with not just good results, but with reportedly astounding results. Therefore, my comment that there is a sucker born every minute. Like I said before, one can buy a very nice Kia SUV for under 25 grand. A new Ferrari will set you back 250 grand. I believe folks like Randy, assuming he’s not just trying to stir the pot in this thread, is expecting Ferrari performance from a Kia. Ain’t gonna happen my friend. Just ain’t gonna happen. Not trying to start anything here either ... just countering ignorant statements. And, I’m not calling anyone here "stupid" either ... just "ignorant." Big difference between the two. And ... I’ve learned that unless I’m VERY explicit in this forum things get painted with a broad brush. I’m not referring to everyone here as ignorant, only a select few, and only on the subject of one product, and that is Total Contact. Well ... maybe the improvements afforded by upgraded PCs, IC’s and certain room treatments also. Same guys, same ignorant statements. Do the research on their previous posts over time and you’ll see what I’m driving at. Take care ... Frank |
@ ps: Holy Moly! 30 times as much for 1/6th the cost!! Perhaps the Audiogon Forum way to tell how good something is merely by how little you get and/or how much more it costs. Clearly if it is less expensive, you would be a "sucker" to buy it when there is something way more expensive you could get instead. Is the rule here that the more expensive something is the better it has to be? Hmmmm....thus the pricing on OP’s super goop. I’d google this rule but I suspect I wouldn’t be surprised. |
Carp ,,, What are we supposed to do with comments like dynquest4 just made? I know that conventional wisdom would be to just ignore him, but what has to be taken into consideration here is his attempt to destroy a product before it even hits the market. That may not be his intent, he may just be trying to be funny, but the financial destruction of a businessman is the possible result. Should he be countered? What would we do with a common arsonist? They burn down the achievements of others for some kind of weird sexual gratification, right? I have to wonder what dynaquest4's motivation is ... A Kia is a Kia ... A Ferrari is a Ferrari ... Frank |
Oh, Frank! If I can "destroy" a product by making counter-comments about it on this little micro-forum, then it must not be much of a product to begin with. Surely the manufacturer didn't spend 15 years of R&D on this stuff and then believe that this Audiogon forum, this little one, would be his only marketing platform? Tell me, if he really believes this product has merit, that his business focus is not that narrow and naive. |
I hope the following comments are written in such a manner as to not violate any of the moderator’s rules here and not ruffle anyone’s feathers. As many of you have read, I mentioned that I was going to order Mad Scientist’s Graphene Contact Enhancer. I have done so. I am not ready to spend $300 dollars on a product that is yet untested by fellow audiophiles or marketplace. I am willing to spend $25 dollars plus postage on a graphene enhancer product that is risk-free. OP responded by quoting two "old adages" #1- "a sucker is born every minute" #2-"you get what you pay for" RE: Adage #1: I think it’s perfectly clear what OP was implying in reference to my purchase of Mad Scientist’s product. I think for OP to gloss over it is, at best disingenuous. RE: Adage #2: I think most of us clearly know that this is not always the case. If Mr. Mrock’s product is indeed many times better than Mad Scientist’s, or the other graphene contact enhancer(s) , I think that OP would agree that the marketplace will be the judge. I have no desire to diminish Mr. Mrock’s product. If it succeeds then I say bravo! I may try it myself someday. I have no desire to destroy the free marketplace or anything else. But as far as sales techniques are concerned, after having been an advertising photographer for over 4 decades, I think I know a bit about that, and respectfully suggest that OP leave well enough alone. In closing, I’d like to say that many of the Audiogon forums have been a source of information and help for me- especially when I first ventured into streaming digital files. I’ve learned a lot here and expect to learn more in the future. Again- that’s the primary reason I book marked this thread in the first place. |
Geoff Done the video expose' on how to make graphene in my bathtub. Also searched as others have posted here for processed graphene in a sealed container. The stop for me was ..is what is called the binder. What is the chemistry to hold and carry the enhancement solids? The binder content and amount vs all the conductive elements is the magic of accrued knowledge and experience and Tim has all of that. Tom |
Frank, here’s the point I was making. You’re defending the product you believe in from the naysayers and skeptics by basically saying "You shouldn’t knock a product you’ve never tried and know nothing about", fair enough? But, when ps posted he was ordering a competing product without, mind you, putting down the product you’re advocating in any way, he incurred the "There’s a sucker born every minute" comment. There’s not a lot of ways to interpret that. And unlike me, he was nothing but respectful and courteous. And when he called you out on it, you wouldn’t answer. Now, by your own admission, you are not familiar with, nor have you ever tried the product ps is trying. Yet he’s a sucker for ordering it. You knocked a product you’ve never tried and know nothing about. Exactly what you’re telling others not to do. Did you make that assessment at least in part based on the price of the product? I wasn’t speaking of anything Randy wrote, or dynaquest4, or anyone else. I was speaking specifically about ps and his question. That’s what I mean by you can’t have it both ways. As far as what anyone else is posting, it’s entirely up to you how you react to their comments, it’s your thread.....and seriously, if the paste is in fact as good as described, schleps like me being skeptical about it, isn’t going to slow it down in the least. |

ps ... In the spirit of cooperation, here's an example of what I'm alluding to. You said: " I am not ready to spend $300 dollars on a product that is yet untested by fellow audiophiles or marketplace." Read the posts man. There are a number of your fellow audiophiles who have been using Constant Contact and reporting back in this thread about the fantastic results. I may have missed it, but so far, I haven't seen any positive reports, on the product you decided to buy. I have heard from some who have tried it and they tell me its an oily mess. Perhaps you can fill us in with your results. In fact, that's a good idea. When you get a good handle on it, write a review right here in this thread. That would be interesting. Thanks ... Frank |
While I hear a violin playing in the background, I wonder when defensive whining will stop and answers to legitimate questions posed here will begin to appear? You cannot market a product on a single forum with vague, unsubstantiated promises that it works (no research data) and then expect the product to do well when it is priced well outside of existing market limits. That defies common business sense. Don't shoot the messenger, answer the message. |
ps ... Well, too bad. Sorry you don't get the concept of destruction. I don't know how I could have been nicer in my last post to you. You're going to try a "competing" product, and all I did was ask you for a review when you get a handle on it. Good bye. I wish you well. dynaquest ... No violins or defensive whining playing here, not by me at least. I just reported the facts. Go back and read all of the fuse threads and this one as well, then come back and answer one question .... who has been under constant attack by the few (very few) arsonists on this site? Ted Denney, Tim Mrock and myself, that's who. After rereading the posts, you'd have to be Helen Keller to have missed it. What kind of research data would satisfy you? Have you missed the others besides me who have verified my results in their own systems? I guess you've missed that too. You said: " I have no desire to diminish Mr. Mrock’s product." If that's the truth, then why are you continuing to do so? Frank |

I don’t care why or how TC works. Just like blue SR fuses, duplexes, Stillpoints, Townsend Seismic Sink, equipment stands and Shakti Hallographs, they are essential tweaks besides my various cables and tube incarnations except I found the tweaks stay in my system for a long time. I only upgrade them if there is something better at a reasonable cost (I’m conservative in my audio equipment spending although well heeled). If something is found to work as well as TC, I’d buy that. So far, I haven’t read or heard anything comparable and I’m using gifted TC on my fuses and ICs to date with great improvement in music listening enjoyment. So, if you don’t want to try TC, don’t. Frank, Robert and other Agoners who’ve tried it think it’s a bargain for what it does and how it works. I’m buying a tube and treating all four audio systems, including A/C cables and speaker connections and video systems. As to tweaks, my engineer/wire manufacturing friend to is uber skeptical who upon hearing his amp design with SR blue fuses went home immediately to remove his littlefuses, he is waiting for me to treat his cables (two pair IC, three A/C cables and speaker wires) for his CD based audio system before he will agree that it makes a great difference in enjoyment. |
dynaquest sez: "You go back and re-read all these posts. I NEVER said that." No, dyna ... you go back and show me where I ever said that about YOU. Man, you are one over-sensitive individual. Then you said this: " If you are "under attack" and don’t want to be; change your defensive (I’ll slap back) attitude. While that may make you feel more manly, it is doing little to promote your one and only product on it’s one and only marketing platform." Look, its not about "feeling more manly." Its about getting constantly demeaned and insulted by a few posters here and on other threads. I only have four cheeks to turn :-) and I've turned all four of them, only to be slapped down again. Should I just sit and take it "like a man," or do I have the right to defend myself? Again, I wasn't placed upon this earth to be the whipping boy for infantile egos. Neither was Tim Mrock or Ted Denney. In addition, its not MY product, its Tim Mrock's product. I'm not on the payroll. I don't get a commission. Yes, I was fortunate to be able to be a beta tester for Tim. Tim will tell you that I was very reluctant at first because of my earlier negative experiences with contact enhancers. He convinced me to try it and I did. My first reaction after the initial application to the entire system was wow. After the four week break-in period the wow went to WOW. At eight weeks the WOW went to ... Thank you sweet Jesus! Bless you Tim!! The best part, even better than the product itself, is that I've acquired a new friend in Tim ... a very bright, positive, dedicated person who wants nothing more than to make hobbyists like you and me happy. He has a terrific product and deserves to be rewarded well for it. THAT is what the naysayers are trying to burn down and destroy, whether they realize it or not. For the life of me, I don't know why you and others don't get that. Have a positive, productive day tomorrow ... Frank |
fleschler I don’t care why or how TC works. Just like blue SR fuses, duplexes, Stillpoints, Townsend Seismic Sink, equipment stands and Shakti Hallographs, they are essential tweaks besides my various cables and tube incarnations except I found the tweaks stay in my system for a long time. >>>>I’m not sure I can be quite so cavalier about things. Actually, a large portion of this thread is concerned with precisely how and why this product works, as well it should. I doubt NASA would be so cavalier about how a thing works, especially something that is getting so much attention these days. It is important, for example, to know why Graphene is located on the exterior of the SR Black Fuse, not inside the fuse (as a conductor) as so many have assumed. I doubt the Defense Dept. is cavalier about Graphene. Or MIT. Or China. If we don’t figure out how and why a thing works we wouldn’t be able to know how and where to use it. Most audiophile tweaks really require some sort of explanation as to how and why they work; otherwise we wouldn’t know how to use them in our rooms or systems. You don’t just plop Shakti Stones or Shakti Hallographs just any old place. You have to know how they work. Same for Mpingo discs, Tube Traps, crystals, cables with arrows, even Townsend and Seismic Sink require some knowledge how to set them up properly, no? Have audiophiles really become a group of complacent spoon fed ostriches? |
Frank sez, “I had negative experiences with earlier contact enhancers.” Now that’s where you lose me, Frank, since Quicksilver Gold is such a fantastic product. Maybe it was case of operator error, problems with your system, not following instructions, who knows? Maybe you didn’t know how it worked or where to use it. Maybe you never actually used it, who knows? Whatever the tweak, as sure as shootin’, if you look hard enough you can find someone says, I had negative results with it. 😬 Bashing competitors is the favorite sport of tweak manufacturers and their proxies. 😛 Trumping the predecessor, so to speak. geoff kait machina dynamica |
geoffkait ... Go back and read this thread from the beginning. If you do, you’ll find where I said that Brian Kyle and I became friends, even meeting up at CES in Las Vegas going from room to room trying to talk the "dealers" into pasting their systems. We were successful with one very prominent dealer and the system was definetly improved. It was Brian himself who instructed me on how to apply his product. I found that it degraded over time ... and I’m not the only one. Rest assured though that I admire your affection for Brian. Where would I go today to buy Quicksilver Gold? Is that what Walker sells?? rotaryphone ... One of the best things I did in high school was to take six semesters of typing. I type so fast that sometimes I think my keyboard will catch on fire. It took me no longer than three minutes to type everything in this particular post and that’s with aged arthritic hands. :-) Carry on ... Frank |
OP said "My first reaction after the initial application to the entire system was wow. After the four week break-in period the wow went to WOW. At eight weeks the WOW went to ... Thank you sweet Jesus! Bless you Tim!!" It is these kinds of over-the-top, exaggerated claims that shoot down the credibility of those promoting a "tweak." The four and eight week "Super-WOWs" further degrade believibility. Dude...this is a tweak, a small thing, something that (maybe) provides a very subtle, not necessarily audible, change. And you are going so far as to thank the Baby Jesus??? |
dynaquest ... Once again ... you haven’t seen the product. You haven’t touched the product. You haven’t heard the product. And yet, you somehow know ... you just KNOW that its "a small thing," and "maybe provides a very subtle, not necessarily audible change." More destruction, dynaquest? Here’s a box of matches. Burn baby burn!!! If you are such the clairvoyant, the next time I go to Santa Anita to watch the thoroughbreds circle the track, would you go with me? We’ll make a veritable fortune! And by the way, I was addressing The Spirit of Jesus, not "The Baby Jesus." So even here you don’t have a clue of what you’re saying. Like Ted Denney’s fuses and room treatments, I no longer consider this product a "tweak." I consider it to be another component that really enhances audio systems. I’ll be doing another ultra high end system shortly. Stay tuned for the owner's reaction and take it from there. Have a great day ... Frank PS: This post took exactly 2.5 minutes to type and another minute to edit. :-) |
Once again ... you haven’t seen the product. You haven’t touched the product. You haven’t heard the product. And yet, you somehow know
What is abundantly clear from this elaborate and lengthy thread is that there are multiple users here for whom the cost of entry to utilize this single product is excessive for they're limited budgets and so they continue to participate here by asking questions such as why is there no money back guaranty where is the double blind level matched scientific tests that show it's efficacy where is the scientific data regarding the materials used to manufacture this product why is this product not being marketed to other industries such as aersopace or utility electric generation why is this product so much more expensive than other products why are you marketing the product here and not responding to our questions. The truth is that the retail cost of this product to the end user is a trivial expense to many established audiophiles and out of sheer curiosity they will experiment with the product discussed here and of course the same users who post here with they're incessant questions will respond with a sucker is born every minute a fool and his money are soon parted etcetera to witch I can only respond that they probably waste $4 USD on fancy coffees every morning and to me the cost of this product under discussion here is equally minor. Thank you. |
@clearthink, So, we’re only asking these fair and legitimate questions because we’re too poor to pay the cost of entry for this product? What an odd and demeaning assessment. I can assure you, I’m more than capable of paying for this product. Know why I’m capable of paying the price of entry? Because I don’t blindly throw my money around. I do my due diligence and ask fair and legitimate questions about products such as these before parting with my money. And if I don’t get the answers I seek, they don’t get my money. And I can assure you, you’ll never see me buying a $4 cup of coffee either, even though I’m quite capable financially of doing so. And by the way, the only person to have posted such things as a sucker is born every minute, and a fool and his money are soon parted, would be the OP. |
Frank asked, “Where does one buy Quicksilver Gold these days? Is that what Walker sells?” Whoa! What? You’re aren’t exactly boosting your street cred with questions like that, Frank. 😬First there was Silclear from Mapleshade. I’m speaking only of silver based stuff here. Not Cramolin, Deoxit, all those Craig conditioners, cleaners, etc. there is Sol Electret from PWB as well that I also use and recommend for electrical contacts. Then there was the Walker Stuff. I’m pretty sure SST is what Walker sells now and has sold for a very long time. Not sure if it was his very first product. Next came Quicksilver from your buddy and mine, Brian. (I carry on with my version of one of Brian’s products, actually, that I got permission to sell from his family. The Tourmaline Gun.) Quicksilver was followed some years later by Quicksilver Gold, in which some Gold was added to the silver. Since I was down with all of the silver based contact enhancers since Day One I think I can say without fear of contradiction Quicksilver Gold was the top dog. 🐕 Having said that, Walker and/or Pierre may or may not have improved their products over years, who the heck knows? 😳 Most likely they have bigger fish to fry🐟 you know, like a $100K turntable. I agree with thecarpathian and I think you will find that most people who are well off financially (and didn’t get their money from mommy and daddy) got that way by being frugal, understanding the difference between wants and needs and comprehending the definition of value (quality divided by price). Sam Walton is a interesting example. Blindly throwing $300 at 1.5ml of completely unproven product based on the rave reviews of a couple people you don’t even know is the exact opposite of what I mentioned in the paragraph above. |
dynaquest ... Most people who are well off didn't get their money from mommy and daddy. They worked their friggin' butts off, took risks and marched to a different drummer. How many truly wealthy people have you known personally that you could call "friend?" Envy is a terrible emotion and so self defeating. Too bad .. Again, have a productive day ... Frank |
dynaquest is a troll. Since I HEARD the difference that TC and my other tweaks that I kept made to my musical enjoyment, then I deduced that they were effective. If they made little or no difference or made my enjoyment worse, I didn't buy the tweak. Green ink on CDs and Tice Clocks were not tried. At least a dozen vibration devices were tried and rejected. Shakti stones were ineffective or worse and rejected. I only keep what works. geoffkait does not understand that I was writing hyperbole I know very well how and why most of my tweaks work although not to a scientific or engineering basis on all of them. Frank has introduced me to two tweaks with the least written scientific proof but with just as much HEARING proof that I need. I did not try another fuse or contact enhancement product prior to TC or black SR fuses. I was unhappy with the long break in time for the black fuse and stated so on the forum, willing to pay double for a ready to use fuse. SR obliged and produced a better, ready to use fuse for $20 more. Yes, the graphene appears to be on the exterior of the fuse. So what? It works for my system and my friends systems. They are ecstatic. I was reluctant to use a contact enhancer because I thought they could gum up my connections or short out my equipment. Frank brought me a safe alternative which works. The price is worth it to me. I do not have an engineering degree. I have four degrees from major universities, was a contractor building apartments and tract homes in the 1980s, was a commercial real estate appraiser, have extensive equity investments and dozens of rental properties. You can't pull the wool over my eyes easily. I learn from my mistakes. My audio systems were built over decades, not the latest, greatest thing. No one ever said that my equipment was out of date. No one ever came over and said my moded VPI TNT VI/SME IV and unmoded Benz Ruby 3 were not musical enough or that my near state of the art pre-amp/phono pre-amp/amps were not good enough. Because they are good enough to enjoy music on a continuous basis. |
So, we’re only asking these fair and legitimate questions because we’re too poor to pay the cost of entry for this product? What an odd and demeaning assessment A question asked again and again and again and again is not really fair and legitimate in the view of many reasonable people I think it would be safe to say particularly in the case of his thread look at what you have posted here. Is there a money back guaranty why is there no money back guaranty I do not like to buy products without a money back guaranty don't you have faith in your product I guess not because you do not have a money back guaranty explain to us why there is no money back guaranty I think you get the idea. I did not say the reason you will not buy the product is because you can't afford it you said that I think the reason you will not buy the product is because it is a lot of money for you and you are not sincere in your interest in it this is just a game to you otherwise you would buy the product the cost in the terms of the high end of audio is not high. |
Steve ... Where I once liked you ... I am beginning to love you. I can hardly wait to treat mrbob's system. Stay tuned. His is a highly resolving system with an amazing sound stage. There is more invested in his speakers (the great Ventures) than in my entire ARC system and the Siggie III's. His results should be even more amazing than either one of us has attained combined. Stay tuned ... Frank |
Music recommendation: I was listening to this with my morning coffee: https://www.ebay.com/itm/EDGAR-MEYERS-Bach-Unaccompanied-Cello-Suites-Double-Bass-CD-2000-GREAT-SHAP... If you like solo double bass, this one is a killer. Bach suites played on double bass with great sound? Ha, morning music with home roasted Guatemalan organically grown coffee from small family owned fair trade farms? Doesn’t get much better than that. And by the way guys ... if you love great coffee, here’s the place to start: https://www.sweetmarias.com/category/green-coffee/central-north-america/guatemala# If you would like my recommendations on roasting equipment, which coffees to order or brewing equipment, please feel free to ask. Oh, and for the "frugal" among us, rest assured that the green beans are way cheaper than what you have been buying at the store, and over time the cost of the roasting/brewing equipment will pay for itself. If you're used to the swill Starbucks sells and think that that garbage is great ... well, you are in for a real treat. Take care ... Frank |
Thanks for the post on the music Frank. Some people want blood out of a turnip. Wrong place to get it. Frank is not financially or morally responsible or obligated to give you anything and I repeat anything on these products. As a nice service to you and me he has given us a glowing recommendation of certain products. He has been fully right on the couple I have used. I am glad he continues to share his experience with us. I have benefited from it. It is very easy to find fault with people. Very very easy. So so easy. However to contribute something positive is the harder and the mature thing to do. Frank has done that. Seems like a lot of childish behavior on this thread that gets in the way of enjoying one anothers take. Each one can make a decision to keep this a productive thread even though we do not agree, it is our choice. If we choose otherwise it shows our opposite purpose on the thread. Frank has stated that and he would be correct. |
^^^ Thank you so much, marqmike. ... much appreciated. Honestly, if a product I’ve tried doesn’t work as advertised, I’d either say so, or remain silent. A good example of this is Herbie’s tube dampeners. Another A’goner turned me on to them and they made a significant improvement over the dampening rings supplied with my ARC gear. I’ve said so many times on this forum ... and started a thread on them. Conversely, I tried Herbie’s "Black Hole" CD dampening mat. It did nothing. It did nothing bad ... just nothing at all. I didn’t mention it because I am not an arsonist who would burn Herbie’s business down. It may make a significant difference in someone else’s system though. It has really good reviews. If anyone wants it, speak up. $20 bucks and its your’s. You pay shipping. I’ll use the $20 toward my next coffee purchase from: https://www.sweetmarias.com/category/green-coffee/central-north-america/guatemala# :-) Frank |
@clearthink, "...there are multiple users here for whom the cost of entry to utilize this product is excessive for their limited budget..." If something one wants to purchase is too expensive (excessive) for one to afford with one’s limited budget, that means one does not have enough money to afford it. That means one is too poor to be purchasing said product. And I do get the idea. When fair and legitimate questions are asked and no answers to any of them are given, why wouldn’t you ask them again? Please tell me. How is wanting to know why no kind of guarantee is given on a product an illegitimate question? Is there a standard number of times a question may be asked before it delegitimizes itself? And, I finally did receive an answer. I was told and others (paraphrasing) that there is no guarantee because people are inherently dishonest, they’ll use it, reap its benefits, and then return the unused portion. And if I believe otherwise, I’m naive and looking at the world through rose colored glasses. Hardly a glowing endorsement for the honesty of the product, especially given the gobs of perceived hyperbole being thrown around this thread. You’ve obviously read through the posts, it’s all right in there. If you were contemplating buying this product, would that answer sit well with you? I was trying to get straight up answers to straight up questions, regardless of what you may think, and it devolved into a tit for tat with Frank. Now that Mr. Mrock has chimed in, I will address my questions to him. Good day to you. |

Uh, Randy, I hate to be the one to tell you but Tweak (sic) turned out to be the worst contact enhancer ever foisted on gullible audiophiles. The specific problem with Tweek was that it turned into a horrible green black goop 💩after a period of time, plus it didn’t really do anything. So, Tweek is proven all right, proven to turn into a green black goop. Nice try, anyway! If someone wants to use a non silver type contact enhancer might I suggest Cramolin Red, you know, the one commercial aircraft uses in their communications system? ✈️ Cheers |
