OCD runs his mouth a lot, but I still watch him anyway.

I saw the t shirt and I got an impression. I listened to what he had to say, and it was confirmed. He's a dope.

This guy is just another Youtube audio clown. There are quite a few of them.

It’s a sales spiel promoting his brand. Waste of time. 

I stopped watching him years ago.  Mikey is way to full of himself for me!

Mike is unique and outspoken, yet he is knowledgeable and experienced and has a great set of ears. He has facilitated me auditioning expensive equipment is my own home with no pressure to purchase and the items I have purchased from him have been of very high quality build, and greatly musical sound, representing very high bang for the buck.  He is more of the "all details are there but it need to flow naturally and be inviting for hours of listening", versus "hyper-clean and details in a way the fatigues after a half hour of so." I find him passionate about music and trustworthy and worthy of respect.

Dude needs to work on being less fatiguing..himself… lost me at “. rhodium or whatever “….

Mike -  You deleted the comment about your $500 power cord - Where the commenter asked you if the 3 PCs you sold him a few months ago for $375 were similar.

OCD Mikey is OK, but the subversive sales pitch is kind of a turn off. 

He doesn't do a very good job of describing how his cables actually "flavor" the sound.

Mikey knows how to work his constituents like any good politician...And not all high end audio politicians are bad...there are still a few good guys left... Mikey is very entertaining and knowledgeable in his own way! Love him or hate him... he still provides a service that people like. Go Mikey!!!

@maxima95 because he did not put the context in which those were sold. He had just purchased a $15K DAC, was an existing client from years ago, so I threw the 3 power cables in at a very low price. I would do that for any returning Tribe member. ;-)  They are discounted down to $450 from that link in the video. 

@coralkong Im FAR from subversive about a sales pitch. Im a dealer and founded a cable brand. I am very outward that my channel is made in order to sell as the result im after. I dont want youtube stardom, I want your business. My options are to hide my intent or be outward with it. Im the outward guy. Isofar as ME telling YOU what YOU will hear, using words promising virtue and pleasure, THAT is subversive selling. Its very essence. I sell a result.. "It will beat what you have"  and I guarantee it 100%, or all your money back. There is no more simple and direct sales pitch ever spoken. Why would I treat you like a child and promise you fantasy or sell you a shiny thing ? I have more respect for myself and my buyers. I dont need to charm you into buying. My product proves itself and my client testimonials back it up. Words are cheap. I sell a result..  

The part that never ceases to perplex me is that I am on the buyers side.. I speak out against the industry and wear the black sheep moniker in order to expose the borderline contempt for the buyer in this industry. Then I offer solutions. If I cant find them, I build them. Yet, people still post threads like this to slam me... lol...

As a long time audiophile, I'm not feeling the industry contempt that you claim. Sure, I've found dealers that I thought were dubious, but it is easy to quickly move on from them. I don't consider the relationship with my dealers (or the industry) adversarial at all and I don't begrudge them a fair profit.

@maxima95 Hey, long time! I hope you are well. I am the author of the comment from OCD Mikey’s YouTube channel you cited. (I go by “Drago Celander” on YouTube. lol) I’ve been one of Mikey’s clients since 2019, having bought a Jay’s Audio CDT2 MK2 transport, an Exogal Comet Plus DAC, a Puritan Audio PSM156 conditioner, and more recently, a $15k Playback Designs MPD-6 DAC. As part of that last transaction, Mikey offered a few power cords at special pricing. I have a great things to say about Mikey, because I’ve had great transactions and discussions with him.

@navyachts Fair enough, what does "Have at Err !" mean ? Perhaps I misinterpreted.. 

@cleeds when I say contempt for the buyer, I was speaking of the manufacturers not the dealers. Manufacturers are the ones that set the retail prices. I do believe there is such a thing as "contemptuous" pricing.. There's nothing wrong with free enterprise, but there's a line that's crossed at some point. (to me anyways) 

@mikepowellaudio - The fact that cables seem to be so controversial, it was a "have at err" at the product not at you.

@navyachts While I agree with your last post that cables are controversial, fuses are far worse. Lol
