About users with hidden agendas
If you know that a user is a dealer and they fail to disclose and attacks other users because they make a point against their interest, do you expose the user?
I know of a gentleman here that continuously posts and goes after people and does not disclose who he is.
What are the ethics of this forum?
Your post say the obvious and mask (voluntarily or not) the essential.... The obvious: any end result in audio come and is commanded by subjective perceptive experience yes for sure... The essential: Any process of education of our own taste and biases and experience is about the incremental CORRELATIVE process of subjective evaluation AND measures and objective eexperiments in engineering AND especially in acoustic sciences also...
And comparing your threads question and formulated opinions which if they are contested could only be contested by witches hunters and cancel culture people is to be kind a completely exagerated opinion and to be less kind a twisted turn of the mind explanable only by your hidden motives... I dont know which one explain your post...

Cancel culture is the 21st centuries book burning. While users posting with hidden agendas are clear to see, they’re the ones posting behind assumed names attacking any post, topic, or comment making a subjective observation absent measurements. These people are also in the minority, as most audiophiles understand audio, and in particular audio performance, is ultimately a subjective phenomenon; a point I’ve proven with the numerous discussions I’ve started here, most of which suffered a 21st Century Book Burning when they disappear through no action of mine. So why am I not surprised to read, the same actors projecting their malfeasance, are also working to have comments and threads taken down that expose their hypocrisy and fallacies. No communication has been made by me with moderators in an attempt to censor any post made on this thread. If posts have been removed this has been done so by the author or at the behest of another party. the allegations of censorship on my behalf are both baseless and malicious. A request was made to desist. Period. |
Can we delete any posts concerning cars? I hate car discussions... I dont even drive much... And my history about driving is not well noted nor well regarded.... Can't we just have any political posts automatically deleted? This is an audiophile community discussion site. I am sure there are plenty of political ones where people can be as outspoken as they want about that stuff, which gets more than enough of its share of attention in the media, and I for one, am tired of it. Other quasi related interest topics/tangents that evolve naturally are fine, especially when they delve into cars. |
Forcing one's drastic / extreme political views publicly is not a good business decision. It's silly. Automatically, half of the prospective buyers (the other side of a political spectrum) will never buy any of your products. Unless of course, you figured out that you will be OK with the other half as prospects, and possibly, even help with sales as you look at it as a "sales pitch" for that other half, who probably would just buy your product in sympathy with your political agenda. I don't own a business, but my guess is it's possible. |

@nonoise : members’ own posts can be deleted at any time. From members who posted them themselves. There is no time limit for deletion, the time limit is only for editing. |
@astolfor , Members can delete their own posts within a 30 minute window (the same for editing). What it takes for one to have someone else's post deleted is to complain (whine, cry, etc) to the mods by having it flagged and it usually is deleted without any real review. I've had posts reinstated by contacting the mods to have them take a good look at the posts and how they fit it with the context of the thread and not differ with others. Lately, I've given up on it due to the effort it takes and I don't want to have the mods spend all their time on something so small a matter, so sometimes I post what I did, above. The offenders know it and as a result, those in the thread can appreciate it. All the best, |

The problem is if someone act freely without any interest attached it is not the same thing if he is paid to say something... But there is many others audio forum and MC is talented in english prose and i dont doubt that he will succeed... I wish him the best like i wish it to any people here.... Why not?

I dont want to make you uncomfortable at all.. Your sentence is perfect...it is your own opinion and you had the right to say so and think so... Perhaps you are even right... I just wanted to add my corrective remark because people could think that i was boasting about my system...Acoustic matter for me not my choice of gear even if i like my gear..

Sometime threads informative sometime they philosophy other time people gather around bicker like woman. This Denny guy post thread to get people talk like click count. Maybe he practice getting iso but for what he already sell cable and bowl. Magister good guy. Sometime pick thread apart like old carcass but I just swipe finger faster. If we have bench press contest I win if we have woman in room she flock to me like crack bead to pipe. I can’t help it we all have strength. We all have weekends. My wife want me to get reduction in pant what can I say that the way it is. Nobody here perfect but people disrespect need to be call out and help. I try help people crazy in membrane. I must rectify something here... My system does not sound better than most system at all..This is not what i said or claim.... But because of acoustic control it sound NEARER to his utmost own higher potential, yes.. There is no comparison between BEFORE and AFTER acoustic control implementation devices... It is very important to say that because boasting about our own system means nothing, but informing people about acoustic is very important matter...

@bubba12 because some of them don't disclose who they are and go on to make nonsense claims, or claims that completely unfounded in facts and science. Thus when someone, with actual knowledge, kindly and respectfully disagrees with their statement and then presents the facts as they are, supported by Ethernet's IEEE specs or PCIe specs for example, they make things personal because they either they don't have the knowledge to defend their nonsense, or they know they are wrong and make their living out selling nonsense. For example @ted_denney, he starts threads making grandiose statements with absolute no basis on the technology, that then he has to delete because he gets called out way too many times, but not before making it personal, and viciously accusing others of whatever he feels at the time. At the time I responded to one of his threads, there was no disclosure of who he was, so I respectfully brought up a few things about his claims that are not true. Since he could not technically defend his nonsense, he went on to the personal offensive and degrade me. How do I know that some of the claims @ted_denney makes are not true? Well I have been contributing to different IEEE working groups, Ethernet, IB, FC, PCIe, SAS, SCSI, SLIP, and a few more specs for over 2 decades, in the different specs authorities. I do not own the absolute truth or knowledge. I daily seek knowledge from those who know something different and can respectfully discuss things and educate me or allow for reciprocal learning experiences. @ted_denney attacked me a few times, one of his attacks questioning my integrity was based on the fact I don't post pictures of any of my systems. He also demanded I prove things to him, well I don't have to prove anything to him or anyone because all you have to do is go and read the different specs for yourself. I even presented the links to pertinent parts of the different parts of the specs where the facts are in black and white and the specs clearly contradict his claims. He even went on to question the IEEE, which is laughable and then deleted the thread. Later in this thread, I found out he sells his nonsense; if I would have known I would have avoided the thread and him and approached people privately. Then I started this thread because I honesty did not know how things get handled in this forum and found out that that is how he operates. Insulting and degrading people like @mahgister for example. I have yet to find a thread where @mahgister has not been respectful; he does his thing, he shares the abundant knowledge he gains from his experiments. His system probably sounds better than most because his dedication to learning. I just started in this forum, but we need more @mahgisters, more @nonoise, @tomic601, @pesky_wabbit and many many others, than @ted_denneys here. I do not agree on everything they say, but they give their opinions it in a respectfully manner and when there is something to be learned they graciously listen and learn.
Crap! I can't believe I just spent all this time writing something in English trying to explain out of principle why, to me, is important that we know how these @ted_denney s are so we can enjoy this forum by completely avoiding them. It is done I guess.

I apologize when i am wrong ...And i am wrong often because i post much... It is not a game for me...And not an ideological right/left game either for me... I dont straddle any fence, especially not the fence you try to create yourself between someone and others... When i answer a post and react in a too rapid or rude way i apologize so what? Do you think that all people here had a political playbook or an insightful infaillible understanding ? I denounce people so much? what are you speaking about ? i answered many posts here and when i am wrong or too much carried by my passion i apologize or make room in my arguments for others perspective, so what? The only one who claim to be "pure" and right here is yourself not me... How many times did you apologize here? never?
