Your last concert was to see who and when?

Pretty simple, what and when was your last concert?

@tkrtrb125 - Have you seen Tedeschi Trucks Band before?  Was it a good show?

@boxer12 - Darn, I missed Phish in GR. Billy Strings too.

@mitch2 Yes I have and yes it was. I get to enjoy their performances a few times a year. I am a Jazz, Rock and Blues guy. They hit 2 of the 3. Great musicians.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard last week at the Gorge.  This band is amazing and they're peaking right now.  Every show this tour was top notch.  There were no off nights.

The Doors Tribune banx Wild Cild, they have a,Live Album out. They play every year at the Paramount in Huntington NY...there good I've seen them 6 times.

I enjoyed a live solo performance today by jazz pianist Sabine Pothier with an intimate group in a spacious venue. She interpreted jazz standards with intellectual flair and masterful execution. And I appreciated hearing live music directly, without any electronics -- no mikes, no amps, no speakers -- just the piano in front of me.

The Melvins a few years back. I only go to small venues, newish bands, cheaper tickets.

Im seeing CHRIS BOTTI in Toronto next week, and IL VOLO in Niagara Falls in three weeks time.

Diana Ross last Friday at King’s Theater in Brooklyn. 81 years old and fantastic.

Kent Stage Kent OH

Not the first time and will not be the last.

Will be totally unknown here, but I saw the progressive band, Corima, at 2020 Arts here in LA on 2/27.

This is a band influenced by the French band, Magma. Which is the more avant-garde side of prog.

They haven't played together in 5-ish years, but they were just as good as ever. And this is pretty challenging music to play, as it is quite complex.

tool in January 2024. they were straight kick ass. i love drums and percussion. lemme tell you, when homey hit that big ass gong at the beginning of chocolate chip trip, it was on and popping. tht thing rang the arena i was in. cfg arena in baltimore.

it was my wife's first rock concert . did she have a blast!.

great show!

IL DIVO coming up in October 11, 2025 at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls ON CANADA

Scored great floor seats !

I just got back from closing weekend of Dead and Co at the Sphere. My daughter drove to Vegas to join me, she is now on the bus. It is a joy sharing music that you love with your kid. Great shows.

By the way, I posted some links under the way-too-unimaginative discussion name of “livestream concerts”, providing digital membership info for the San Francisco Opera and a couple major jazz venues.  If you have any go-to sites for streaming live music (livestream or On Demand), please add them there!  The jazz sites both offer a monthly option, so you can check them out for under $10.  The operas are $28 each.  Jazz at the Lincoln Center also offers lots of educational material.

It’s been a typical month for us on the concert scene, with some jazz, trad, & classical:

Kevin Sun Quartet (jazz) 4-21-25 Big Easy, Petaluma

Alasdair Fraser & San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers (traditional Scottish fiddling) 4-27-25  Jackson Theater, Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa Symphony, Orion Weiss, Young Women’s Chorus of San Francisco (Gershwin Piano Concerto & Holst’s The Planets) 5-4-25 SSU

The Price Sisters (bluegrass) 5-6-25 house concert, Petaluma

Julia Keefe Indigenous Big Band (jazz) 5-9-25 SSU

(SSU = Sonoma State University)

Waksman; couple of weeks prior Alan Parsons and the day before Steve Hackett

Steve Earle - Last Night -Sunday 7/6/2025 - Ludlow Garage - Cincinnati, OH

Solo Acoustic Show. Fantastic! I've seen Steve Earle at least 10 times over the last 25+ years, including his solo acoustic set at this same venue a year ago. That show a year ago was fantastic, and somehow he managed to top it this time around. The guy is 70 years old. I don't know how he does it. I don't know too many artist that continue to improve as they age, but Steve Earle is definitely still on his game and is maybe even better today than ever. Highly recommended.

Not really a concert (but there was a DJ), but I saw Dave Chappelle on his farm in Yellow Springs, Ohio on Saturday - 7/5/2025. Fantastic show at a unique venue.

On 6/28 I saw the newest incarnation of the prog/space rock band, Gong, here in L.A.

The current players played in the band while Daevid Allen, the founder of the band was sill alive.

They did a great job holding up the feel and attitude of the band, and their musicianship was top notch.

King Creosote's Any Storm in a Teacup Tour in Kendal, England on 20th June. Also, saw him kick off the tour over the border at Dunfries, Scotland back in April.

July 2024 Vanilla Fudge, Bolton Ctr, Bay Shore NY....my ears are still ringing....lol

Last Wednesday.  The Offspring!

Let the bad times roll.

They were rolling awesome.  Third time.
