picking speakers (and electronics) for a relatively large room - new
The problem with googled is we look up a question and get sent to a thread that in this case is 6 years old.
Tin Pan Alley and Thanks to You- which speakers play the tap on the snares the best?
The DALI Epikon line really gets it right. I've got a pair of KEF Blades that i'm seriously considering selling to move to the Epikore speakers. Personally, I think the Blades are a better value dollar for dollar, but dali really did something spe...

I just spent some time with the Dali Epikore line, probably my favorite lottery speakers right now, they have a rubikore line that doesn’t give up too much for us working class folk. Is he using a tube amp? I hear it humming in the background
??? What Is Your Favorite Speaker Finish ???
Cali burl on the B&W 801D4, or the similar look on the acoustic zen crescendo.

When I said the ns5k equaled the blades or at least came close I left out that I was comparing the soundstage, an important distinction I think. I’ve learned enough to know there’s too many variables to make qualitative remarks.

Inside, because the tv room has an inside corner that will necessitate that anyhow and is how Yamaha recommends setup I went with it.

I agree everything you just posted. Including my experience with krell electronics.  There were some tracks I played the other night that equalled or at least came close to the blades, I was pleasantly surprised. The more I listen the more I notic...

I’ve had so many speakers in this room the last 10 years and the ns5k immediately reminded me of the 7f. The 7 f was more critical of placement and while I can’t speak to the ns5k yet the 7 f was also sensitive to source, maybe the only speaker I ...

IDK what was wrong with the mc611's you auditioned, but there's nothing 2d about the delivery.

The mc611's sound great driving my Blades and aren't going anywhere. Ideally the yammi's will play nice with my Hegel H360, another piece I chose after comparing to the others I could try in their price range.  I managed a few hours with the NS5k...
B&W 802D1 - How can I tame the brightness?
When i'm setting up speakers and they're bright or have that glare in the midrange I pull them away from the first reflection point. In my tv room I'll pull the in front of the monitor a little more than usual and if I can't get them away from the...

I suppose I should have asked what others are finding out about the speakers, does the bass fatten up over time? how far do you place them from first reflection points, do you angle them so the drivers are aimed at ear height, stuff like that will...

The distributor for your area should be able to fill your order and sometimes get a replacement for dealer cost.
Any experiences good or bad using Uship?
bump, I looked into uship and got the impression it was done by folk moving themselves and looking to save some $$$. I'd probably use them for a standard size component, but like missioncoonery says, not pro's.
Speakers sound too bright.
lol, until we hear different he's happy with the Dali's
