KEF "Q"uestion
I didn't care for those speakers compared to the competition. Back then KEF and B&W couldn't seem to shake that traditional conservative 'British" sound and the entire line just sounded kind of dull.
Tannoy or Volti
My experience with Tannoy was pretty good, but  I think they might be a bit conservative sounding for a Klipsch owner.
Upgrade from Joseph Audio Pearls?
OP wants to know what JA pearl owners consider an upgrade without having even heard them and ended with soux throwing his beer at AT. fun stuff.
Why so many B & W Speakers on the used market?
B&W is massive and they upgrade their models often enough to keep even content owners interested in upgrading. I would suggest all speakers have their own inherent sound that can create disinterest over time.
What to upgrade from a Kef ls50 meta?
When my KEF R 105/3’s were 25 years old I sold them and went on the upgrade path. I bought and resold a bunch of  speakers in the +/- $20k retail range, all well regarded and all were great, but I think I landed back on KEF because after so many y...
what is a good mcintosh preamp and monoblocks for a b&W 802d
I can second the c49.

Battle of the affordables
It’s crazy how the most affordable line is the most enjoyable, but I know what you mean. For casual listening the q series might be enough for most of us, but the ceiling is what it is. We’re paying for better cabinets, and parts that give the R a...
What is a good all around high quality speaker to purchase?
I listed my Yamaha ns5000’s because my wife says they don’t work in the living room decor. They acquit themselves well enough for me to contemplate keeping them and selling the Blades instead. Currently playing The Verve, urban hymns and can’t hel...
the gateway product that turned you into an audiophile
I think the first time I heard baba o’reilly while stoned I was hooked. Hardware would be the realistic sta 235b and pair of Bose 901 VI.
Battle of the affordables
The SVS floorstanders got an impressive review but appear to need a fairly large room.
Finally! I Made An Informed Choice
A shop I like to frequent managed to play 3 different dac's for me including a lumin, not sure the model, and a couple others. 1 of the dac's sounded colored and the other 2 while sounding different were so similar I could have been happy with eit...
Down town Chicago/St Louis and Atlanta.......
Hello. far west Chicago suburbs, more of a winter and rainy day hobby for me, but would likely be interested in a local group.
Has anyone actually heard the Dali Epikore 11? Impressions welcome.
BUMP, ....?
How to choose speakers that won't overpower your room?
I gave up on subs, maybe it’s in my head but I convinced myself they only blended with my speakers at a specific volume! I even got so bad I bought one of those velodyne subs that came with a volume remote, still no joy, but that’s my insanity.   ...
