Will the used tube amp market suffer?

Will the used tube amp market suffer because of a lack of available tubes. EH news on Russian exports stopping until end of 2022. That’s a lot of brands. It Made me stop and think about my recent search.

This (upheaval) too will pass. Get what you need for the next 5 yrs and forget it. If you haven't already done that it may be too late. Plus all tubes aren't made in Russia

A retread of a retread. The events in Ukraine are terrible and require the world’s full attention. All commodities move with market forces and and market forces are largely the result of supply, demand and the paranoia of the human being. You could make an argument that ONLY point to point wired tube gear with no transistors anywhere make the most sense since they are immune to electromagnetic forces unleashed by nuclear weapons. C’mon, stop the hand wringing. Its a mildly silly but unfortunately predictable.

YES!

Anyone with one of those unique tube amps that must use ONLY/EXCLUSIVELY Russian tubes should sell their amps for 1/5 of its MSRP.

It’s a terrible time to own a tube amp.

ARC Reference,VAC Statement and Atmasphere owners also, should get rid of those now boat anchors. Your wife will thank you.

PM me now. I will pay CASH!

I did jump on a Sovtek rectifier for my Hagerman Cornet II although i could use another rectifier but it would require changing capacitors which i can't do.  price was the same as a year ago.

I have a new Tube amp on the way soon and I am absolutely keeping my Quicksilver Mid Monos . I have two spare preamps , both tube , I will pair one with the QS for a second system and sell the other one. People will always gravitate toward tube components.
