Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

In honor of Halloween I decided to play the scariest music I could find in my collection. I settled on

PJ Harvey - "Rid of Me"

Really scary stuff....
For a second I thought you were going to say Taylor Swift. 🙀 🎃
uberwaltz, tis the season!
Spelling error earlier. Should read "Korn" - Freak on a Leash

stereo5, very appropriate!

Misfits, "Dig up her Bones"
Ministry, "Every day is Halloween"

Probably going to have a few disagree with me here but I still find this to be one of my favorite Journey albums.

Raised on Radio.

$1 vinyl
Just to enter into the "spirit" of things tonight.
Ol Pumpkin Head himself.

Metal Jukebox ... Helloween.

Tidal

Back to normal programming....

Just done the WalMart run, zzzzzzz
But wandered into the cd section which gets smaller every day!
Had a sale on ( not sure if a fire sale!).
Picked up 3 cd,s at $3 each, cannot complain

So first up

El Camino... The Black Keys.
Robin Trower I saw several times in small venues fantastic
and  for him to not be in the rock & Roll hall of fame . The voting there sucks  for some of the pop stuff in their makes me wonder
on their voting. I just watched then bought the cd
Jeff Beck tribute to Les Paul Excellent with Emelda Grey I believe
her name is great blues singer lots of oldies rock .i got his Autograph at MSG in NY city back in the 80s  on a guitar magazine cover . One of my keep sakes.
The NY concert done  in small night club. Jeff Beck fantastic guitarist very underrated he for sure is in the top 10 .rolling stone had him like at 70. That rag has not been good for years . But the Blue Ray under $10 on amazon as well as the cd 2.5 hours  .
check it out !!

Audioman58.

Would that be Jeff Beck, Rock and Roll Party?

It's only thing I can find as tribute to Las Paul.

Giving it a whirl on Tidal next.

Thank you
B,S&T 4 ... Blood, Sweat and Tears.

Sounding much better than first time I tried to play it. Gave all of my $1 record buys a darn good cleaning, just shows what you can rescue, as long as not badly scratched most of the dirt can be cleaned out.
Zenyatta Mondatta ... The Police

Yes I played this not long ago but this is vinyl and the SQ is palpably better than red book CD, no contest!
World Anthem .. Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush.

Very underrated guitarist imho

Tidal
Roger Waters, "In The Flesh" SACD
Styx, "The Grand Illusion" Audio Fidelity CD
Dio, "Holy Diver"    CD
Three Days Grace, "Human"   on Digital
@uberwaltz - I have an old, original copy of "Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush Live" live on LP and I still listen to it regularly. It's a great record......
@reubent

That's too funny.... The only vinyl I have is Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush Live, circa late1970,S as it was in my college years!
Just had a long weekend on St.Simons island Georgia, not where you expect to find some good oldie vinyl but.....

There was an antique fair and one guy had maybe 3 boxes of vinyl at $5 each or 3 for 10. Quite a bit of what I term junk but enough gems for me to buy 6 at $20.

Will be starting on them after they have dried from a deep cleaning!
Well, it was a baited anecdote, but I didn’t set it up well. There is no one in the band named Marshall Tucker, of course. They took their name from an envelope they found in a house Marshall Tucker used to live in. He was a blind man and my wife used to read on the radio for the Commission for the Blind. She met him at a commission banquet.

Edit: Wikipedia gives a different, and probably more accurate, account but the story is basically the same.
N80
I admit to having no clue as to any of that, never researched them, just listened to the music. Interesting story though!

I can and frequently do listen to a lot of music and know absolutely nothing about the band, if I like the music sometimes that's just enough for me.

Saying all of that....

Caravanserai.  ..... Santana.

Carlos devadip indeed!
Heck yes Nutty

Actually saw Graham Parker and the Rumour live back in Blighty!

Watch the moon come down is a great track!

Hold back the night is the album that is on, all of it very worthy!
@boxer12, interesting that T Bone used that album title, as his 1980 album was entitled Truth Decay. That album also features good recorded sound.
