Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Way to hot but still got the mostly tube big gun system cooking - the lineup with a healthy dose of Margaritas:

Yo La Tengo - Stuff like ThatThere
An Evening w Neil Gaiman & Amanda Porter
Phillip Glass - Book of Longing.....
which of course will lead me into Leonard...

fixedincome,
Great album that is pretty well recorded. He was very talented. I bought that album back in the day and have been enjoying it since.
Speed, Glue and Shinki-"Eve"; Heron Oblivion (studio album); Black Sabbath "Heaven and Hell" (Dutch Vertigo), Bliss, "Things to Come" (EMI ASD); Atomic Rooster- "Death Walks Behind You," plus some others.
John Mayall, Back to the Roots.  Double album set I picked-up for a couple of bucks at the Salvation Army.  Pristine after a good wash.
Marshall Allen presents Sun Ra and His Arkestra: In The Orbit of Ra - Sun Ra/ Sun Ra & His Arkestra / Marshall Allen

Heard them perform the same, in Portugal.
@roxy54  Just happened to have Luis Borda's 'Tangos Brujos' on.  He is Argentinian and a Tango Nuevo Guitarist.

Pulled up Manzanera's Primitive Guitars for a listen, next. Thanks.
Guitarissimo / Phil Manzanera. I had almost forgotten how good this music is.

@nutty , good choices . I live in Clovis (Fresno ). Saw Trower with Pattinson at a small venue ( Tower Theater ) . A couple years ago went with my brother to a drum clinic ( at Bentley’s) with Carmine Appice . After the clinic we went to see Carmine play with Shenker ( small venue ). I’ve seen Montrose many times . I saw the band open for Slade at the Rainbow Ballroom , Fresno . They just released their first album . No Theremon for Space Station # 5. Hagar didn’t play , only sang . BTW , Sammy has always been a DICK ! He suffers from LSD , lead singers disease . Regards , Mike B.

You're very welcome Nutty.  Nominated for 2002 Best Contemporary Jazz Album Grammy, or so I read.  Superb musicianship.  Love the fact Brian Auger is still around and cookin'.

Back at you with "Thanks" for the intro to Glenn Hughes.  Played his Music for the Divine this afternoon.  The F7 + adding rake to the Forests have really helped open up that recording.  Hearing a lot more layering and detail than when I first started listening to it.  A very solid album full of good songs.
Princess Alice and the Broken Arrow .. Magnum.

nutty,
Mr. Mister's Go On is an excellent recording. Not exactly driving music, but very thoughtful and powerful. I think I'll listen to it tonight.
@nutty.
I have an original Dutch pressing of Bloodletting that will make the hairs on your neck stand up! Should do at $75! Ouch!
The vinyl is well superior to any of the CD versions I have heard.
Next up.
Goodnight L.A. .... Magnum.

Their last album with Polydor.
Nos original UK pressing, sealed first play.

Yes Mr postie brought me some goodies today from Europe!
Mr. Mister, Go On. Good recording! A little off my usual path... also one track from Welcome to the real world, "Kyrie". Well produced and caught some radio play.

Wishbone Ash, Just Testing and No Smoke Without Fire. Oldies but goodies. Redbook, not the best with regard to low frequency energy.

Styx, Crystal Ball. I love the first track. "Put Me On".

Aranda, Stop the world. Straight forward Rock band from Oklahoma. "Hey Sally" is pretty cool. So is "Break Away" and "The Rest of my Life".

Concrete Blonde, Bloodletting. Poor sonics on my copy but an excellent disc and haunting vocals. I've read the album is recorded much better.

The Blues Travelers, Four, excellent harmonica on the Totems!
